#DaftPunk #HumanAfterAll #Emotion
It makes me think of a Robot that can't Physically cry, so all it can do is output "Emotion" on repeat. Almost like a crash.
Damn bro... I felt that
It sounds like a malfunctioning robot’s last words, but it broke in a way so that its last words just repeat for 5 minutes before it finally shuts down.
this is so sad alexa play despacito
That is a dope view
Human After All is such an underrated album, most people say they didn't work hard enough but Thomas said it's a contrast to Discovery which took years to craft. I see it as a minimalist work, the entire purpose of everything can be fully seen in Alive 2007, you mix the "repetitive" of this album with the heavy work that was Discovery and the middle ground that was Homework and you have a masterpiece. Daft Punk were often misunderstood and always ahead of their time, they were musical geniuses.
"Were musical geniuses" ? Did they die?
@@wewatchmovies4446 They retired
Still dont make dis album that good
@@VitalXeno It’s pretty good imo, definitely not all of them but most, depends on your music taste
I always liked the sound they went with on HAA but I still think the songwriting was weak on a lot of the songs
I feel so emotion. Goodbye Daft Punk 1993-2021.
Did you come from a Job Simulator video?
Thomas: Emotion.................
Synth: BLUAP! BLUAP! BLUAP!
😂 made me laugh
End of an era. It's been an amazing 28 years. Thank you Daft Punk.
hits wayyyyyy too hard for a song with only one word
Hits even harder today
@@junaceba4993 it hits harder as the days go on
It hits so god dammmm harddddd
The more saddening things you experience the more it hits like a truck
No matter how much weight you bear you must carry on, however it is important to remember what weight you carry, and to stop for a moment occasionally, and show your emotions,
Today is an end of an era. Not just for a genre, but for music in general. There never be another duo such as Daft Punk ever again. They are probably the only duo I know that can make a song by saying one word and making it be filled with so much Emotion and heart (no pun intended).
Much love Daft Punk and thank you for 28 years of greatness
History repeats it will def be another daf punk that's one. Two there is probably already a new daft punk but they haven't blown up yet. This is indeed a sad day of an era but no, not music, in general, your mind is just not expanded because of the trash that's out here right now.
the end to something is the beginning to something else
@@JFoldUmProductions there is Justice, the best french house duo
Idk, I’m feeling optimistic. they wont have there spot taken but expanded into a brand new wave. Excited to see what comes after the amazing work they put out.
It's Deko & Yameii
The new wave .
My friend once said that daft punk has always proved that there are some stories and themes which can only be perfectly expressed in house music. Touch was the song that proved that to him and me, but I feel that this entire album is an even bigger testament to that. The underlying theme of the album is "technology is being poorly implemented, and could be detrimental to humanity if we don't check it". Technologic shows that such cookie cutter consumable media is what raises the next generation, I've always felt that the repeatative nature of Robot Rock is meant to show how robots (or just any automated action without the "human touch", I guess a condition that humans can take on if they lose their passion) can make something that is in all respects good, yet lacks the soul of humanity. All these themes are tied together in this song, as the element that defines the difference between soulless "robots" and humans is emotion. If you lack any sort of emotion for what you make, whether it is music, shows, books, anything, it will inevitably become automated, meaningless, shallow. This album gets a lot of flak for being the worst daft punk album, and I think I agree in regards to the music. But I can say without a doubt that it is the most thematic thing they've made (maybe alongside alive 2007). To top it all off, can you imagine any other format that could convey that theme like this? There really are some themes that can only be expressed properly through house.
Hm, I never knew Human After All wasn't well liked. It's easily my favorite album of theirs
This is like almost the best album though. I'd say the worst is homework, and even that is still amazing.
MLG Cthulhu totally agree m8

@@BurgerSoupWhich are those?

I love this song. I love how frequently they use that “yeah” robot vocorder/synth patch all across this album.
There are some songs out there with hundreds of words that arn't as touching as this, a song with one word.
+Molly O'Barr well, technically there is 'Emotion' and 'Yeah', but I agree.
Music makes you feel, lyrics tell you how to feel
technically there is 140 words because emotion is looped 140 times. make love has 0. around the world has 432 fyi.
you're doing gods work my dear boy
Show, don't tell.
This song is just 10x sad now that they've broken up
Farewell, Daft Punk
You guys won't be forgotten!
@ReneSkunk777MC
Indeed, had I listened to this song in high school, the calm melody would've put me in trance if I was calm, or resonated in me if I was sad. Much like now since Daft Punk broken up. :(
EDIT:"Since this came out in 2005, I'd've most likely listened to this album well into my senior year in 2007, and had I played this on graduation day, I'd be wishing I could rewind time to relive my high school years... And crap, here come the tears... Oh I shot myself in the foot just now. Dx"
this song is going to be on repeat today...

First song that came to mind when I heard the news.
Congratulations on your retirement boys, you deserve it.
The harmonies when the vocals kick in (like 0:41) are otherworldly. A lot of people will shit on this song (and this album in general) but they pulled off some amazing things here
It's these small details where you can distinguish great musicianship.
Daft punk...... The masters of saying things over and over and over again without sounding annoying.
Make Love and Emotion are the best tracks in HAA imo!
Honorable mentions: Human After All & Television Rules The Nation
Worst track: On/Off
can you even call on/off a track
@@umcaraaleatorioeggs3339 XD
Daft punk. You guys are the two greatest introverts. You guys just be like this. You guys look posh, you guys make quality sound, better than all electronic duo, Really you guys proved a quote : NO PAIN NO GAIN. love you Thomas and Emmanel homem christo. Give life back to the music again in 2018.
Guy Manuel, not Emmanuel
I doubt they'll make anothwr album tbh after all there last album was in 2013 random acces memories
@@Hunkiegod90794 Their last musical activity together though was 4 years ago working on "Starboy" and "I Feel It Coming" by the Weeknd. While I doubt they'll make another album, it is nice to hope
@@n3ssfan92 since Bangalter is active in a ballet score, they're still (presumably) professionally active meaning, even if not as Daft Punk, we should expect to see more of them.
@@TheCarsfan4ever I heard that today, was very excited with the news
most underrated track from this album
Yeees
Es una mierda
Without a doubt, Daft Punk are the kings of songs based on words (i.e. Around the World, Teachers, Superheroes, Harder Better Faster Stronger, Technologic, Emotion, Call on Me, Together, So Much Love to Give, Oh Yeah) and more all are word-based and are all masterpieces. They invented this genre among so many!
You forgot Robot Rock.
@@MaskyTheMenace I also forgot Drive, Musique, Forget About the World, Too Long, and probably a lot of others!
> They invented this genre among so many!
No, Kraftwerk did. Songs like Autobahn used the "one-word" repeating hook several decades before Daft Punk. Daft Punk also borrowed their whole "we're not humans but robots" schtik from Kraftwerk.
@nemiko WA WA WA WA WAAAAAAAAAAAAAU PA PA PA
WA WA WA WA WA WA WAUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAU
When it comes to [these types of songs] the lyrics are just another feature, another instrument in the song, and we shouldn't look at it as actual lyrics, imo at least. I really don't know why is everyone talking about this song having one word, it's really no big deal!
If your album has songs like Human After All, Robot Rock, Emotion, Make Love and Television Rules The Nation and is still called your weakest album...you must be doing something right. You must be doin it right.

I’m pretty sure I can listen to this for the rest of life.
Daft punk is the only band that can bring tears to my eyes thinking, when i die ill never be able to listen to music again. Their songs are so beautiful
I fucking woke up this morning, loaded up YT as I do to when im about to take my shower, and was hit by the news that they are retired. It fuckin stings but thank you Daft Punk, you inspired me a great deal and helped me through middle and high school. 1993 - 2021.
I've always had the feeling this was singed by GuyMan
My dad showed me this song as a kid and how to keep on beat, notice changes, etc. now that’s all I ever notice in any song so this coming on brought those memories back and made me sad
Sorry, I don't understand what he teached you very well (perhaps just my english) could you elaborate?
an odd and melancholy daft punk song, one of the more unique yet simple tracks.
Thank you for existing. Updoot for you.
There are a lot of melancholic Daft Punk songs tho
@@Dougidogg69 yeah, Short Circuit in the half of the song, everything turns into complete depression... and i lOvE it.
@@rigel8755 - Also Make Love and Veridis Quo. I'd include Voyager too, but that gives me more of a feeling of nostalgia than anything.
This feels like a song you’d hear when you’re sad, but you don’t know why.
just here after the epilogue 😢
Thank you Daft Punk for everything.
After weeks of their departure i have gone to all of their comment sections, in almost all songs are the same comments on their departure and yet they all tell a diferent story, and yet they all agree on one thing...
Daft Punk rocks!

Left the biggest print on music and culture that I’ve known, made me dance, made me think, made me cry, made me happy, made me positive, thank you guy and Thomas, I’m eternally grateful
i can't explain it, but this song makes me feel like I'm getting Emotional over something dumb. like just getting this weird emotional feeling, from attachments to irrational things i suppose..

I'm grateful to be born during the era of the Early 2000's of Daft Punk. My family got me into them, and I fell in love with their music.
It's 2023, I'm 20, and even after their retirement, I still come back to their music...This one too... It hits even harder now...I find it hard to listen to this track because of the meaning and significance.
We miss you Tom and Guy-Mannel. We miss you both.
I love how people keep coming to hear this kind of music, it's genuinely heartwarming for someone that didn't help make this music.
but as someone else said, "Don't cry that it ended, smile that it happened."
I got real ENOTIONal after I knew that they separated. But I guess they cant go on forever, they are only HUMAN AFTER ALL. Their music was the PRIME TIME OF my LIFE. It was amazing to see how they could MAKE their music with so much LOVE
but they are still ALIVE
everyone AROUND THE WORLD would be upset about the news, i hope they just have ONE MORE TIME with us
Yeah, you can say that again.
So underrated as Make Love

Make Love is literally the best

I’m going to help this reach 1 million. Trust
I really don't understand why people disliked this album so much, I think it is as good as any other album daft punk has made!
A lot of the songs really overstay their welcome, they're too simple to maintain interest for 7 straight minutes, and unlike their other albums they don't do anything to mix up the loops to keep them fresh.
Daft Punk are the masters of repeating something over and over again, and just when you're about to get annoyed and stop listening to the song they play an incredible loop that makes you love the song more than any other one you've heard.
So beautiful, so emotional
Ikhsan Nugroho beeeeeeeep!!!!!!!!!

This can't be over.
E M O T I O N
This song. I love it. This song gives me some sort of emotion. (sorry for the pun) I can't describe it, yet it also saddens me, especially since Daft Punk isn't really a thing anymore. It feels like a sombre end to the album, but I just can't describe it. I can't describe how much Daft Punk has gotten me through my life. I was born 2 years before Discovery was released, and it feels somewhat nostalgic, but Human After All is my favorite. It also feels more nostalgic. This is the end of a generation of music, now that they are gone. They did wonders for the music industry in my eyes. They essentially made house and other genres like it. I am currently listening through all of Daft Punk's discography, and I love 90% of the songs they have made. I can't thank them enough.
This track has lyrics. You will hear the entire song says "emotion" multiple times and daft punk turned it into a musical robot voice.
they really sampled themselves? that “yeah” is from technologic.
legends.
Pop music makes crap with four chords. Daft Punk makes galaxies and stars and feelings with four chords.

Only Daft Punk can get away with repeating one word or phrase throughout a single song
This song make me feel a *⚙️Emotion🔩🔥*
Once opon a time, in a land where *television ruled the nation* , there were two robots. A silver robot and a golden robot. They were under dictatorship by a being known as, *The Brainwasher* . The Brainwasher turned all of humanity into robots, and these two robots were tired of it. They had to listen to *technologic* sounding *robot* *rock* and *make love* by using nothing but technology. They decided that they wanted to become human again. They thought of a plan of how they could turn back into humans.
So, their journey began. They went to The Brainwasher's HQ. When they got there, they were horrified to see what the Brainwasher was doing to the humans. The Brainwasher strapped the humans onto chairs. In front of every chair, there was a television set. He used the television sets to brainwash the humans into thinking a robot life was better. The Brainwasher would then put them into a *steam machine* factory where they would be turned into robots.
The two robots then tried to get into the factory and find a way to turn back into humans. Fortunately, they found a reverse switch. But right when they were about to flip it, The Brainwasher appeared. They were scared and didn't know what to do. The Brainwasher tried to convince them to stop what they were doing, but they refused. The silver robot pulled the switch. The Brainwasher got angry and charged towards the golden robot. The silver robot sacrificed himself and pushed the golden robot into the machine, while he got hit by The Brainwasher.
The silver robot had a furious fight with The Brainwasher, and they flew themselves out of the tower. The silver robot fell with The Brainwasher. The golden robot screamed for the silver robot, and started crying..... "but how?" he thought. He wondered how he was crying, since robots had no *emotion* .
But it was *the prime time of his life* when he realized, he was finally *human after all* .

This sounds like the plot from "Electroma" (not saying you copied it from there, because your version is different), but it's crazy to see Daft Punk has made his point so clear even without the movie, even so that people can come up with these stories which are basically the movie they made themselves.
It will be one of the precious comments I read on UA-cam, Thank you very much

*Take a look:*
I can't say if i'm correct but this music produces in me a feeling that there are two tunes interacting
The first tune is simliar to the frequency of male voice. (but, by a robot obviously)
The second tune is similiar to the frequency of female voice. (same case too)
The tension between those tunes is getting higher.
I think Daft Punk genius is to creat slays over slays. I never ended my investigation on their works.

I followed them from the start, darlin, what a band, shaped so many lives and music
I used to dissociate to this song to get relief from some bad times
I’m not certain which emotion it is, but I feel it to my core
It's like the good ending song to a video game. :')
Did anyone notice that they sampled "Technologic"?
Yeah i did, And I think a little bit of human after all
They sample the robo hyperventilating sound on a few songs off Human
Such nostalagia. I was about 17 when I had this album, discovering great music, out later and night, finding freedom, friendships turning to feelings. I held such excitement and antipaction for life. Developing my indentity and sense of self. I'm quite sad that sense of exctiement is over. Once you've grown-up, you can never do it again. RIP Teenage Youth.
