That's a sharp looking cub cadet sir! If I was gonna get a garden tractor that wasn't all the green stuff I already have I'd get one like that. Paint it up International Harvester red..😉 Got a 210, 316, two 318's, diesel 332, 420..and 2 G5200 diesel kubotas. I dabble myself.
Nice cub, I have a 2284. Love it but unfortunately it's going on 2400 hrs and use hard on my lil homestead... Not sure how much longer it'll last or if Ill have time to restore it. I have two Allis Chalmers higher on the priority list.
Is it running well at least. If so, it should last a long time. The good thing is, these engines are not super expensive to rebuild. A good rebuild and it could be good for another 25 years.
Pretty typical for some these tractors to have a slight pump whine. I’ve had some that did, some that didn’t. This one only seemed to do it when first started in cold temperatures.

I'm pretty partial to the green myself, but I do like some of the Cubs as well, and I this one was a nice one for sure.

What is that winding sound in the cub ours does not sound like that
