Let’s say a male artist has a budget of 25-40k to promote his new pop/dance single that has ‘hit’ level potential, what kind of returns do u think could come out of that in terms of Spotify streams and IG followers?
Oh my goodness!!! Your videos are really helpful. I just started my musical journey a few months ago. I really appreciate your break downs especially with promotional companies. I will probably be joining your membership that has genuine advice and tips for new artists especially new pop/dance/hiphop fusion artists like myself. :)
Cool so if you spend 20k making 10 great songs, 2-3 years of your life writing them, spend 10k on advertising, and magically get 100k instagram followers, you MIGHT have a chance at making $3000 from $1m streams?! Holy shit wtf are we all doing.
For everyone watching this who isn't doing modern pop genres dont expect anything close to this. Also this is a lot of money to throw in and dont pay any of those botted stream platforms.
In terms of playlisting, here are some of my favorites: twostorymelody.com/best-spotify-promotion-services/ It really varies from campaign to campaign, but the top four or five companies there would have my vote.
Right - you need to meet these requirements: support.spotify.com/us/artists/article/getting-access-to-discovery-mode/ That's why I didn't account for Discovery Mode until after Month 4.
Awesome video, appreciate all the time and research you put in !! Also worth mentioning, $10k investment for 1M streams would give a return of approximately $4000. So that $10K spent would actually only be $6K. It really sucks that the return on the investment isn’t the greatest lol otherwise I could probably justify spending 10K.
Yes agreed but consider the network effect of those 1 mil streams. Industry people will discover you, you can play gigs, offer merch and gain extra revenue. Plus, once you reach the critical mass, things will move exponentially.
Damn musik industry is though man. I myself started making a more nitch version of lofi combined with reggaeton and make +-1k streams a day without any budget spend yet and i am just yet starting to realise it`s a blessing
SO take 300 dollars from your childrens food & clothing and paying your electricity bills and use it to pay for fans essentially. Good option but maybe if you were a normal person then this might not work.
so i don't do coaching, but I do have a membership where I do 1:1 calls each month: twostorymedia.com/million-streams-membership/ wishing you good luck!
We are fucked and it shows. This whole paid/budget thing can make trash artists fly for no reason. Sadly, it's not about skill anymore.

In your honest opinion, with which promo services have you noticed the most residual streams, saves, followers etc.?

I can’t believe you missed the easy way I got a million streams. I simply asked my mom to listen to my songs a million times. Easy peasy.
Your mom is a champ.
Spotify discovery mode is not accessible as a new artist

can please try out ad studio
I will. It'll take a little while to run the campaign / get results in, but I'll make a video on it this year.
Lots of million plays on Spotify videos, yet none of the videos have made that amount. Who’s kidding who.

Yeah, that's a totally fair point. Economics are tough on this sort of promo, and most artists I work with aren't coming in with a 10k budget lol.

I sent in an inquiry regarding the community and setting up a call 👍🏼 hopefully we can connect, and I look forward to speaking with you.
Don't pay for playlists 😳
10K $ spent to get 4K income from spotify - really a good idea?
Super insightful! Thank you 💯
Glad to hear it - thanks for watching!
I truly appreciate this post.

what if your budget is much lower?
Honestly, it'll probably just take longer.
