Greetings! I’m glad these videos help a little. When I did my first bus, I had to cut carefully to figure out how these were put together. I try to explain those bits to help anyone that is looking at tackling a bus restoration. Good luck! There is a contact email in my “about” section on the channel, feel free to email me for specific questions, I’ll do my best to reply quickly.
Happy Easter from PEI Brother! The bus is coming along piece by piece! It’s a lot more involved compared to when we swapped your Jeep frame many moons ago lol. Cheers!
Its coming along, even with the setbacks, we are moving forward. I hope to get the rear wheel arch on next week! then we can finish the rear corners and floors!
Bus is looking good man. I’ve got a 72 bus in Sierra Yellow, which I guess that one is too. Also a 60 Cal Look Bug. From London originally and now Bangkok. Keep the vids coming 👍🏻
Hi VW Adventures,Icame over you channel true Stephan P Street Garage, I heve a little channel to so I tought leave a abo so i did.Greetings,Hubertus.🙏🏻🇳🇴🇳🇱🍀☮🇨🇦
greetings right back to you, sorry it took me so long to reply. I took the summer off to travel a bit, then the fall to get house chores done before winter. Ill be back in the garage in a week or so.
@ thanks for the reply. 👍🏽 I was just curious after watching a few videos I noticed left and right were different. Great work though. I can’t wait to finish the build. Glad I’m not waiting for episodes.
Nice job Don. This is what I will be jumping into next week when I'm back working on my bus. Question...... I purchased an inner rocker and complete track assembly 289 dollars from CIP1. Does this piece incorporate the middle rocker or do I need to order that separate ???
That part includes the middle rocker track assembly. One thing to check on it is the door fitment once it’s secured. The lower track ( shelf) sometimes needed to be removed and welded back on lower. I’ll show you what I mean and email it to you
I have to attempt to repair the pop top on Chaz too. Its hard to give any suggestions without knowing what is causing the warping. Mine has broken wooden parts inside the top, I will lay in on a hard level surface and attempt to clamp it straight and repair the broken parts, fibre glass it, and hopefully it will be straight enough.... good luck.
@@VWAdventures9905 ok cool not sure yet on mine because it has that curve in the front. Is there anything that softens fiberglass up and maybe I could clamp it in place until it dries again?
I’m not sure, is yours a late bay? With the luggage rack in the front? Try searching you tube for bay bus fiberglass repair. You might find something there😊
Greetings from South Carolina. I’ll eventually get to my 71, but I’m learning a lot now watching you

Good work so far, an inspiration. Glad I found your channel. What was the reason for not using the middle rocker panel on the drivers side?
Welcome to my channel, thanks for watching and the question! The middle rocker only goes on the sliding door side with the lower door track on it.
@ thanks for the reply. 👍🏽
