    How does it work on a small car? Does it go low enough?

    I'm building a 40x60 Shop because I just want to do racecar stuff with my racecar friends so I'm doing my research on 10APX, XPR-10AXLS and XPR-10XLSX since my friends and I are all 6ft plus and we like all forms of motor sports.

      12K lifts generally go about an inch or two higher than most 10K lifts. But not that big of a deal if you make your puck stack taller.

    I have the 18k Bendpak I pick up F550 with long wheel base and made my lift arms to lift cabs with single cab

    I could be wrong but I thought the stop on the top of the first arm is to engage with the flat on the wind up puck to stop it spinning so you could wind it up,why don’t you grind a touch of the top it and it won’t jam on the second arm,it will slide freely under and bottom at end the same as the other arms,if it was a stop why don’t they put them on the 2nd and 3rd arms?

    Just installed a 14k Stratus two post lift yesterday. It was a chore to put up that top beam by myself off a ladder but got it done. lol. I agree with everything your saying. My lift is 126" inside post to post but the arms are still huge and I can see where I will need to move cars around to fold them under.

    Awesome video thanks for sharing. Looking at this lift for my shop. Bendpak is on the top of my short list - this thing is built like a tank

      Yeah this was the same lift shown in the other video when we originally installed it with the wedge anchors.

    Appreciate the video. Trying to make a decision between the xpr12 and cl12a. Having owned both a challenger and Bendpak which would you recommend? I’ve seen comments online lately that Bendpaks quality has gone down and customer service and getting parts has been an issue. Challenger seems to have lower arms which would be good for us when lifting cars but a higher price

      I would only recommend this lift here if you do 90%+ trucks/larger SUVs. It is a pain to lift cars with as the arms are so long. As far as brands go both brands make a good product but it's up to the buyer to look at the engineering of the lift to determine it's reliability/strength. That brand sticker doesn't mean anything. Almost every company makes good and bad products.

      @@TechnicianRed We are primarily trucks (1500,2500,3500) and SUV’s. Occasionally sports cars but it’s rare. Do you think the LTA is necessary for lifting long box trucks?

    • @TechnicianRed
      @TechnicianRed  10 місяців тому +1

      @@Nodan357 I HIGHLY recommend the LTA if you will be lifting 6.7 Ford Superduty trucks especially the earlier ones. Any lift with shorter arms is sketchy AF lifting those. Really, you should aim to have 2 lifts. Get this one for your diesel pickups and get a nice 10K symmetrical for your passenger cars/small SUVs. Buy the 12K first (safety first). It can barely be used on passenger cars but would be a real nightmare lifting the sports cars high enough to slide the arms under.

    For being one of the most expensive brands out there, it appears they could do better for the money.
    Thanks for highlighting what to watch for.

      Yeah it's a great lift but more attention should have been given to the finer details. I still highly recommend this lift even with the shortcomings.

    You might find this question a little bizarre, but these 2 post lift can be in use as personal use for a car collector, I do realize that's a slightly expensive idea,

    • @TechnicianRed
      @TechnicianRed  6 місяців тому

      4 post lifts are much better suited for that application and are utilized for that purpose quite frequently by wealthy car enthusiasts.
