- Kolmarden once seemed such a distant dream park to visit, but in the summer of 2023, I arrived to ride the legendary RMC woodie, Wildfire.

That looks... out of this world. I need to go out to ride it this second, I cant wait any longer. Dolphin express. I need it. Oh yeah Wildfire is there too i guess.
Video idea: Give us your top five North American cities/regions where you think a brand new from the ground up theme park could be successful. It would make for an interesting discussion.
Here here!
I'll give you a few. Some of these technically have a park but nothing serious. Or they still need more anyway.
1) Houston. This one is obvious. Why will no one build a park in the most obvious metro area in the country?
2) Phoenix. There are parks in the area but nothing even on the level of a lower tier Six Flags park.
3) Seattle. I won't even count Wild Waves.
4) Portland. Could use an indoor park in the style of Nickelodeon Universe or partial indoor like Lotte World or Toverland.
5) Las Vegas. Why is there no full day theme park in a place like this? It seems like a natural fit.
6) Myrtle Beach. Yes, Family Kingdom exists but this place should be competing with Pigeon Forge, Branson and Wisconsin Dells.
7) Chicago. It has a major park but the metro is big enough that it really ought to have two. Great America is super busy anyway.
8) Jacksonville. I know Florida has plenty but this is far from those and is the biggest city in the state.
9) Miami. Similar to Jacksonville but it's the biggest metro instead of city
10) New York City. Okay, it has two small parks and an indoor park across the water and Great Adventure isn't too far away. But this city is one of the biggest in the world and most people use public transit to get around. It would be really helpful to have an all day park that is accessible by a quick ride from Grand Central Terminal. And they have more than enough people to both staff and fill a major park. Finding the location would be the biggest issue by far since it'd have to be outside the city but close enough to make it worth while.
Some honorable mentions:
Omaha. They have the best Zoo in the world. They could sustain a theme park as well. But more importantly, it would bring a theme park to an area that doesn't have many close by, especially for people in the Dakotas, Wyoming, Montana and western Nebraska.
Nashville. It's not too far to Pigeon Forge or Holiday World but the city is growing so fast that it really ought to have a major park of its own
Memphis. Not growing much but it's still big. And it would be a nice add on for a trip to SDC and the new one supposedly going to Oklahoma.
Jackson. Please, someone give Mississippi a major attraction. It could save the state.
Wichita. I hate to be that guy. I've lived in the midwest. But this place is especially boring. I'd love to see a full day Wizard of Oz theme park done with serious immersion. That could become a destination park.
Jacksonville, Florida please!
If international counts, then you could add Sydney, Melbourne, Vancouver and Geneva to name a few
They need to put a massive RMC at the Asheboro, NC zoo lmao
The terrain on this coaster makes the layout even better.
I've actually changed diapers on our then infant on the Safari ride... 😂 It's a very soothing ride after a day in the park. On a sunny day it's unbeatable as a calm ride.
Your Simpsons references always catch me off guard... amazing
There is another entrance much closer to Wildfire. It's not always in use but there is one anyway if you're lucky. 😄 We live close to the park and the kids never want to see the animals, just ride Wildfire... 😂Also, if you stay at Vildmarkshotellet next to the park, their entrance is even closer to the coaster. So people wanting to try the coaster, stay at the hotel. It's really nice!
Wildfire on my bucket list!
video idea: best looking rollercoasters, include location, color scheme, and theming elements
Yk its a good day when chris uploads
Love these vlogs
Video idea: Best Magnetic Launches in North America
So the best coasters with an LSM launch?
I've not ridden Outlaw Run, but I've ridden Goliath at SFGA and believe Wildfire is RMC's best topper track coaster. In fact: I think the only woodies to compete are Phoenix, The Cyclone, El Toro, T Express, Shivering Timbers, Ghostrider. Python in Bamboo Forest and Wood Coaster in Knight Valley, (both of which are in China) and The Voyage. I'm curious about which wooden coasters you think are missing from this list...
Wildfire is a personal top 10 woodie for me. I would rank mystic Timbers higher though
Kinda relates, the columbus zoo needs a stand out coaster, but how can they get one?
"And of course, a Detroit Tiger."
HOW DARE YOU SIR!!! We all know the real sports Tigers reside in Baton Rouge.
ah yes the 10000s of teams that use tigers
Are you going to do a full trip review?
Full trip review nah i think the vlogs tell the story. Ill release my final rankings after my last vlog. 1 more left
12:55…Chris, one of these days, your sweet daughter is going to find out that you compared her to a chimpanzee…and you, sir, will be doomed to eternal torment from that day forth! (Daughters NEVER forgive Daddies making fun of them!…mine’s 25 and she is Still holding Several powerful grudges!)
Oh im gonna show her all these later on and I'll take my chances
i have a better view 1 minute from my house
Must be nice
yes its called pine mountain ski jump
@@AirtimeThrills
I don’t think it’s very practical to improve my favourite view with an RMC. I know we’re more lenient in UK national parks about building things, but there’s not the room (or suitable terrain) in the Langdales.
Dang man, you had the worst luck on this trip. Hope your next will be a total redemption 🥹
I agree that the first half of Wildfire is absolutely elite, the 2nd half looses it's steam. I also agree that I'll take it over Outlaw Run. Stepping over the track of a ride that loading in the station, and for me getting to operate Wildfire made Kolmarden one of the most memorable moments of the trip!
Top #3 in Europe for me, right after RtH and Fly. Wildfire is amazing
RMC makes amazing rides, change my mind.
why would we? you're right!
He sounds like the guy from Home Run Productions
That guy sucks
How did the coaster crew get so unlucky? I was scared you wouldn’t be able to get on Wildfire or even Helix
At least those were open and i got an insane amount of rides
Buy or Sell: Arizona gets a new top 100 coaster by 2040
A mid tier RMC is still a top tier coaster in comparison to others
Would love to see an individual breakdown of Wildfire. An individual By The Numbers of sorts.
An updated RMC by the numbers is coming in a couple weeks
@AirtimeThrills will that list include fire in the hole? Just wondering since the ride isn't open yet.
@@Themeparkfan630 nope it won't
@AirtimeThrills well that sucks, Probably better to wait until it opens.
Wildfire looks really good! Congrats on finally getting on your first interational RMC
Wildfire really looks like an amazing coaster
Lmfao. It's a mid rmc. Did you not even watch this video lmfao 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. You are dumb af
first time i went to ride wildfire i parked at the overflow parking which was way closer to wildfire second and third time though, not so lucky
Yeah we left thru that parking lot it was so nice not to have to walk back to the front
Awesome Vid and sweet park that leaves me with a question, especially towards the end.
1) I heard that Scandanavia smells kinda fishy, not in sketchiness, but in the air. Is this true or does it smell like Midwest America?
2) I love seeing the Sooners hat, but I know you're a baseball guy. What team is your fave squad/adopted squad?
I think it would be cool some day to see a ranking video for the summer of best MLB Stadium/Closest Amusement Park combo, for them Summer travels. I think you would bring us the best version of this, especially because you know how good the teams are too.
Have a good one man
I didnt notice any smell in Scandinavia. As for my favorite team of any sport, thats the Dodgers
@@AirtimeThrills I love the Dodgers too. I am bummed to see Corey Seager in a Rangers uni, thats for sure
Great video and great Vlog! Very nice zoo! Great to see you had a good time! That sky ride is very nice!
This is a very strange video Idea but what about ranking every RMC second half lol
Thats a cool idea but a bit wonky
Sounds like another perfect candidate for a Pros/Cons video
I got that queued up for Monday
Great upload. Wildfire looked wicked. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
11:30 is that Big Bear?
Better view could be oblivion the black hole and flying island at Gardaland as lake Garda is amazing
Well, hopefully Hakugei and Zadra wind up a little higher on the list if/when you get to those.
i wish i had an rmc in my zoo...
everyone coaster enthusiasts dream
Chris, how do you rank all the parks you have been to with only 1 legit coaster, like Kolmarden, Fun Spot Atlanta, ZDTs, etc.?
This is probably the best of the 1-legit coaster parks
Now, do you think wildfire is better or outlaw run at silver dollar city
Being a teacher, I'm lucky if I can get out of the Midwest.
One of these days....
14:06 he is not in fact loosing some translation there.
Why’d you do Amy like that😭
Best RMC location
I'm sure that S is a mistake, I think its just "No Axe" as in deodorant...or may don't take your ex's on it
That must be it
wildefarer🤤🤤🤤
i wan go swedend
YOOO
The zoom in on Fart lol
UTFART
Can you ride Wildfire with a zebra? 🦓
Yes
The ERT was IN THE MORNING?! I mean I guess any ERT's better than nothing but still.
We got night ert also the night before
@@AirtimeThrillsoh ok
In terms of views with the lift hill, I offer Wild Eagle as an option. The view of the Smokey’s is beautiful. I haven’t been to Cedar Point but have flown over it and I imagine you can get some great views on multiple of their coasters
I find it interesting that wildfire's lift hill is so quiet compared to other rmcs
If you listen closely at all the sounds of Wildfire you'll notice that they're all Vekoma sounds. Which makes sense since this was the very first RMC in Europe, built in a partnership with Vekoma. Could explain the lift sound as well since all other Vekoma's lifts are silent as well.
Hope to get there one day
Only RMC that I could see challenging its view is Hakugei
The shot of steel vengeance from the beach is underrated
bladee
The one better view I’ve seen on a coaster is Shambahla
In height and distance maybe but in terms of actual beauty the view Shambhala doesn't even come close.
I think it's such an ordeal to get there that it being top 7 RMC just doesn't live up to the pilgrimage, but if the forces aren't there, then it is what it is...still the setting and views look top tier
I know a better view, Scream at six flags magic mountain has an EXQUISITE view tbh
No joke it does have a scenic mountainous background
One of the highlights of the trip. Great vlog! If you have any videos of me riding Wildfire, I'd love to see it and it'd be much appreciated.
I'll check, i may just have station shots
Here in Europe you don't see many drinking fountains because everybody just fills their bottles at the toilet-sinks :) I live in the Netherlands and we have really tasty tapwater.😊
Yep thats what i discovered. I filled my bottle with sink water and it was fine
Was this trip a package deal?
I’ve been trying to plan the best way to hit as many Europe parks as I can and thought it would be great to just buy a tour package if it existed.
Thank you for all the great content as always.
It was a trip organized by the coaster crew. They pick a specific trip to do every 2 years or so, so I latched onto this one
So you said name a better view...I think millenium force has something to say about that
This definitely has millie beat
Hello
I think I can speak for everyone when we all can't wait till this little vacation is over so we won't hear e.r.t. anymore. Jesus dude...get rid of that bingo card. My God bruh
This was the last ERT so you dont have to have that trauma again
