    I see VMPs actually out here, testing parts, gathering data, and improving and designing new parts instead of making memes on Facebook. I respect those that are professional and put in work! 💪🏻

    Justin, as a 2011 GT500 owner I must say that VMP has really come through for us. We are a legacy platform now, not the top tog. Seeing your company still at the forefront of developing performance parts for our cars, and even the Terminators make me very happy. Ive got a number of your parts under the hood of my car and I can say that there will be a few more heading that way in the coming year!

      I agree 100% I'm glad they are still doing this for us because imo there is absolutely no reason not to these cars are still very very capable cars and can make huge hp numbers with not alot of work especially for an "older" car. All the new cars are capable of great things but not everyone wants a new polished car some like the older rugged and raw look and feel of these cars and for those people we have vmp making great products for us still! Gotta love it thanks VMP!!

    8:24 mention of an install and flow test. Is this content available? Would love to see flow comparison vs stock with full 1 inch lines through the whole system. Considering this IC brick + 1 inch water manifold, modified HE with 1 inch fittings, and a trunk ice tank with 1 inch hoses running whatever powerful pump isn't on backorder.

    Ok Justin I need help…. My VMP 1” water manifold/intercooler setup IS HAVING FITMENT ISSUES. Lower tube on the water manifold is hitting the powersteeeing pump body. I had to use a bar to change the angle of the inlet/outlet for the water manifold. I posted this a long time ago and you’ve ignored my post. I’m possibly the only person in the country with one of these on a 2007-2009 daily driver. Maybe now since reworded and corrected spelling maybe you’ll answer. HAS VMP EVEN TRIED TO FIT THE LARGER 1” WATER MANIFOLD ON A GT500 WITHOUT ELECTRIC POWER STEERING? I’m guessing not…… dare you to answer

    I'm wondering what the shelf life is on the intercooler in my 04 Cobra? Already planning on a Gen3R for it later on in 2021 so perhaps over the winter I can get the intercooler and swap that and put the Gen3R on in the spring of 2022. I had been e-mailing with Anthony he was quite helpful

    • @VMPPerformanceTV
      @VMPPerformanceTV  3 роки тому

      Glad to hear you've had a good experience contacting us. As for shelf life, as long as you've done goos at keeping an eye on your fluids and doing proper maintenance, it should be fine. You would want to want to arrange the install of both the intercooler and Gen3R as they're both involved in a head unit swap and you might as well do them together. Otherwise, you'll be doing one of them twice.

      @@VMPPerformanceTV Thanks. In the end I always wanted a VMP on the Cobra but it was a back and forth struggle between the VMP Gen3R or a Whipple 2.9. In the end the VMP is going to suit me better for what I'm building the car for. Plus it looks better too.

    • @lexustech48
      @lexustech48 3 роки тому

      @@Lethal_Venom Whipple 2.9 is good, but the 3R will get you the HP AND the monster torque curve far lower in the RPM range than the 2.9. But if I were you, Id wait for the next VMP unit thats going to have the TVS3100 rotor pack. I have a feeling that it will do the same to a 3R that the 3R did to the 2R.

    So I have this upgraded intercooler brick and as Justin says you need Allen bolts, yet VMP included bolts with giant 10mm bolt heads which of course won’t work. 😳 So I can’t assemble the intercooler until I go out and find some proper hardware. 😖

    Justin, I have this intercooler. It's sitting at home and might be installed into my 2012 GT500. I say might because I have not seen any testing on this. I ordered my J2 Fab intercooler in July, needless to say it is still on backorder and the VMP was kind of a stop gap till the J2 showed up. The two products seem very similar and I have already paid for it so ill have both the VMP and the J2Fab intercoolers. I bought it on the assumption there where already documented and verified number for it but once I looked this was not the case. The one car I have seen it ran on, in a video had extremely high temps. Was it determined that was a defective product that was sent out? Or some other kind of issue? I only ask because I want to see if it's worth it to even install. I want to say also, I have many VMP products and you guys have worked on my car a few times, so no one take this as me knocking on VMP I am merely trying to get hard facts and data for my car. Thanks Justin

      Hey Tim, part of our new product release process is testing and documenting performance. This product has exceeded our expectations and is now available to the public. The owner of car you are referring to is no longer a partner with VMP and no longer runs any VMP products or services, additionally, that version of the intercooler did not make it to production in this application, nor was it installed or used properly by the vehicle owner. If you are interested in additional consultation on how to get the most from your VMP parts please reach out to us.

      @@mach183 having data doesn't make them a "bad company" but the cherry pick certain data that isn't necessarily the most important part just to make their product seem superior. They are always talking about the blower dyno this blower dyno that and talking in cfm and all this other stuff with the intercooler part Justin was simply saying that just stating cfm alone isn't really all that important on this particular part because if it flows through too fast it can actually hinder it from doing its just correctly. I think that is what he was getting at.
