was in new orleans almost exactly a year ago and had charbroiled oysters.... so good. i'm from NY where people slurp those things raw... not my thing. so glad i got to see a different side of oysters.
I'm so glad UA-cam suggested your channel! I am a relatively new Sikh (in Canada) and I LOVE Jolly - and their other channel The Korean Englishmen. Your reactions are wonderful! Subscribed!
As a native of Louisiana, that isnt what we call a Crawfish "boil". A crawfish boil is a get together (party). Theres usually live music, dancing and just having a great time together. The foods essential to the Boil are Crawfish, potatoes and corn. They all go into pot together. People like me that dont eat stuff with faces, enjoy the potato and corn cooked in cajun spices. Usually the men tend to the Crawfish boiling and women are preparing food in the house. Usually these are smaller dishes Like boudan (sausage and rice cooked together) or mac and cheese. These are made for kids. So in the video we would call that eating Crawfish, not a Crawfish Boil. As a love time fan of Jolly, I corrected them on the original video as well.
Yep! That's how we did it when I was a kid. 150 lbs of crawfish, corn ,potatoes, and onions. Sheets of plywood on sawhorses covered with newspaper and all the crawfish dumped in the middle and every would just dig in!
They wear gloves because the cayenne in the crawfish boil binds to your hands and won’t wash off no matter how much soap you use. Trust me. Contacts out before eating, and no touching sensitive parts after. Lemon will also get the spice off.
After removing the meat from the shell, you should remove the black “vein” from the top of the tail (very easy) before popping it into your mouth. Otherwise, happy intestine eating!
I think there could be a way to make it vegetarian. You can research the spices used and do your own spin on it. I understand some cultures are amazing with spices. I hope you guys can try.
Do yourself a favor... do NOT look up any videos of people preparing/cooking softshell crab. They don't just throw it into boiling water/deep fry it like they do with most crab/lobster/crayfish/shrimp, there's an extra step taken while it's still alive that is particularly distressing.
I'm Cajun. We don't wear gloves to eat crawfish. We just wash our hands with pumice soap.
🤔
Charbroiled oyster are amazing. Butter garlic and Parmesan cheese. Throw it on a grill is amazing.

Thank you for sharing 😊
True-don’t forget throwing in mushrooms hot dogs and entire heads of garlic. 😊
It's so popular because it's my culture.
Good to know

They are sucking it like they are vaping lol.
😀😀
Americans react to Indians reacting to brits reacting to crawfish....OK pay me now
🤣🤣
You don’t need gloves, but it will keep your hands from getting sore.
Hmmm Got it 👍
They’re wearing gloves to protect their hands from the spices on the crawfish
Gotcha

It's alright after the crawfish have been purged.

There's no vegetarian options for this. You can buy cajun spices and use them on vegetables, we do that too.
That's a great idea!
I will definitely try 👍
Vegetarian crawfish? Hahaha. We do add potatoes, corn, brussel sprouts and mushrooms too though.
Do you have a post office box to send you spray cheese to try and do a reaction?
We don’t have a post box yet 🥲
😁👌
👍

OMG 😦
Lady on the left - what is the point of reaction to the video if you are talking over everything they are saying?
