The hands, feet, eyes, ears... five clavers ... how can an only musician, a single artist do it so ? Wonderfull anyway ! Many thanks for this record. Congratulations to Mrs Magister Burlak !
I've listened to a few recordings of this, and none of them hold a candle to the clarity of Daria's registration! I keep coming back to be delighted all over again!
The woman has a real inate concept of artistic music and , in her own way, takes out of a rather cold world into the true spiritual place that she is presenting and owns. brava
@@raymondbeecroft4209yes! I love the way she 'swings' the Menuet - most organists are quite strict in tempo, which spoils it a little! In the Toccata you can hear every note!
I have seldom heard the toccata so accentuated and accurate. First class work with perfect hand and footwork. Chapeau!
I would love to hear Daria play this at Manchester Bridgewater Hall in the UK! The Rimsky-Korsakov Russian Easter Festival Overture, too! She transcribed it herself, you know, and did a wonderful job!
The first time I heard this piece, I was just blown away. I came upon it quite by accident and later than other organ works I love but am delighted that I did. It's such a shame that Boellmann died at such an early age. What he might have accomplished could have been mind boggling. As for the performance, very nice. I think it was very nicely done.
Yes, I am always shocked when I discover yet another great piece of music was written by someone who died so young... The mathematician in me would want to know the distribution of ages of great composers, and compare with the average.
I have heard and seen this piece played so many times. Its one of my favorites but never heard it played with vigor and perfection. Could not fault a thing, registration, tempo, got got it all. I want to hear more from you young lady. perfecto!!!!!!
Thank you very much for a beautiful musical-spiritual experience. You play wonderfully, very sensitively and at the same time with the right temperament. From your interpretation radiates spiritual strength and hope, but at the same time with great humility and inner sophistication and calm. I wish God's blessing, good health and many musical successes and a lot of love and joy in my personal life. Pavel from Prague :-)
Perfect Daria ! All how i like to play , to me. After those 17 sonatas of D.Scarlatti by heart i think that you will be one great organist. GOOD FUTURE FOR YOU !!!!!!!!
First heard this piece as played by Dr. Keith Chapman on the Wanamaker. He made it sound effortless. Nice performance here. "Big" pieces like this always have to be a challenge, not just from the standpoint of keyboard proficiency but also tailoring the piece to the individual instrument and to the hall. Glad it's not me at the console!
This is actually one of the best performances I have found on YT. Perhaps would consider adding a register to the quiet keyboards, but otherwise the interpretation is 99% spot on, excluding a couple of weird timings.
Hmmm. She plays, and damned well, and I can’t at all. I’ve heard this piece played many times, though, so could spot the mistakes, and the sometimes slack tempi. But it’s a romantic piece that needs to be played with spirit, and that she achieved.
Clearly technically well played, but some registration problems for sure! And the timing at the end of III is not played as in my copy. I and IV were to my ears the best - maybe the organ is more suited to these dynamics?
I am interested to know where you perceive the registration issues to be. I don't have a copy, hence don't know what the composer intended, but I do have very keen ears and enough knowledge of organ voicing to know what I am hearing. Beyond that, I only have other performances to compare this one with. I have a Jane Parker-Smith album that features III as a standalone peice, and to me, that is perfect and sets the bar. Other than III sounding a bit more 'flutey' in places and the last few bars being a little rushed, there's not much in it. What am I missing? Having said all of that, I absolutely love this performance and I think it's the very best I've found of the whole suite - certainly on UA-cam. Well done Daria. Ps. Those magnificent final chords with the glorious Tierce de Picardie gives me goosebumps every time. Gothique indeed!
Bravo Daria, Lively playing this compositie.

Greetings from Canada! This is an absolutely superb performance! I will replay many times. Thank you for posting!

She’s skilled and beautiful to boot.

I agree with you, point by point.

Beautiful playing 👍😍
Reminds me of Diane Bish this is one she always use to play ❤
Best performance here!
Outstanding organ registration and performance of a great suite for the organ.
Wonderful performance.
Magnifique, majestueux, splendide. Merci pour cette très belle interprétation.
Wonderful! I love her interpretation of this piece.

She plays effortlessly, inspiring to watch
Bravo 👍👍👍
Great performance, thanks!
My favorite performance of this piece on UA-cam 👍🏻
My thoughts after watching Daria´s hands and foot work: ¨Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee...¨
Amazing performance, energetic, emotional and technical superb. I love it.
& Jhr. Humphrey. Your playing is Beautiful. Merci.
Absolutely beautiful.
Freaking amazing! Brilliant performance!
Wonderful. Thank you.
Elegancia e talento!

The late Marie-Clair Alain would have appreciated your performance. Very nicely done!
Very nice thank you !
Absolut perfekt!
Nice!
Toccata is little bit too fast. Rest is perfect!
Hmmm. She plays, and damned well, and I can’t at all. I’ve heard this piece played many times, though, so could spot the mistakes, and the sometimes slack tempi. But it’s a romantic piece that needs to be played with spirit, and that she achieved.
Bravo. I think the organ is not as good as the organist in this case.
The Pedal Register in the prière is a Little too unbalanced
The flutes are so delicious! Cavaille-Colle at is best!
troppo veloce il tempo della Prière!

Hi. Good morning. I am an organist from Nigeria. Presently in Canada, Saskatoon. Are you in Canada? If yes, Please show me around.
Elegancia super prejav
doubt anyone cares about the first 3, just skip to 10 mins for the Toccata that's what I always do lol
I really like the 3rd set, but frankly I couldn't hear the melody in this video. Maybe my hardware isn't good enough.
