Love it down there! What trail is that like down near the end trail 7 I am thinking? Grew up surfing down there and would absolutely love to go back one day.
@@LizardMan420 yes it is beautiful. We were using trail #6 i believe to get down to the water. We were not all the way at the southern end of the park.
@@southern_fried_d Nice yea looks super familiar! Grew up surfing Trail 5 but decades ago the trail collapsed in on itself due to erosion and the state park closed it down. I still go down there every few years to get away from the crowds still actually . You can still get down trail 5 but its kind of sketchy ! Thx for the response sick footage 👍
Bro. The wife and I see this campground off the freeway when we head down to SD. We always wondered about it. The tent sites are right on top of each other. They didn’t trip at all that you got a RV site and you didn’t pull up in a RV? Super cool biking. My kids are still young. Cool idea for when they’re older. Those are just regular mountain bikes right?
A couple years ago we stayed at the regular tent sites and they stacked on top of each other. The next time I went I just booked the bigger spots for the trailers. They did not say anything the 3 nights we stayed. I just chose van as the camping method when I made the reservation online.
Nice Vid 👌 I just booked a couple of nights kind of a local get-out of the daily before my kids head back to school. Then, I did a lttle more research after the fact and noticed the 5 FWY yards away from the site and then Amtrak 😲 then looked up on Google Earth and saw how cramped the site are, nope had to change the reservation. I noticed they have the San Mateo campsites that are part of the Onofre campground park yet are a little more secluded and private Still close enough to take a short drive back to the Ocean side part of the park. Hey, maybe next time you can check out the San Mateo side. Looks like you and your fam had a blast. Cheers from Temecula
Thanks man! We did have fun. The train will definitely wake you up but the freeway not so much. Next summer maybe we can get a spot at San Mateo. I have never camped there. I hope you and your family have a great trip! Appreciate you taking your time to watch. 🙏🏽
Thank you for posting
