Don’t sell your big field, we have your other series to see smaller fields. We all know that the preparations takes time, those who don’t enjoy watching this can switch to a other serie. And I would love to see you working with some bigger machines it’s the perfect map for it!☺️
Yes very true
What series is with smaller fields?
@@CaptYellow331 Haut Beyerlon
20:05 Paying 7K each time (more if you spend more than 1hr on it) to rent the large roller just to get 2,5% bonus may not be worth it in the long run. Unless you do the same crop in every field you may not be able to roll every field in the same month and would have to pay more rent. You'd be wasting most of the yield bonus (if not more) paying for rent unless it's a very large field.
I just don’t roll it
@daggerwin we (I) tune in to watch some calming tractor driving up and down. I am perfectly fine watching stone picking and lime laying and all of that. It's all good man.
Hey Daggerwin, please don’t go small. I understand you’re worried about people getting bored, but I’d like to think everyone expects things to take a lot of time on this map, and if they prefer something a little more progressive then there is the other series.
Personally, I'm enjoying seeing the same jobs including the stone picking, I'd just like to see more of them completed in the same episode they started, even if that means longer timelapses to complete them. Really fun series tho!
Mark Caldwell I agree. I enjoy how many different tasks you can do in farm sim anymore. It’s that much more content to put into a video and that much more fun to have lol.
Unless you have already sold it in a yet to be released video, I say keep the big roller that you have and, if you feel that it's necessary, rent another one for a helper. If you plan to sell one/ some of the bigger fields, what's the point of having a super massive roller?
And also, you can sell the cultivator and roundbaler, the chances that you are going to use them are quite slim I would say.
You had me worried there Daggerwin, thought there wouldn't be a video today 😅

Fields 8 and 13 are great for SBs/Potatoes - remember you OWN the BGA mate - however it can only process ~72k of cut SBs per year...but you will get about $70k per year from those BGA processed SBs. BGA with all crops running (BGA can run everything in parallel, where as regular productions are all serial) will give you ~$450k/year
Found another Easter Egg... its pretty big too
I was looking at the possibility of selling some of the buildings you get in the start game. Apparently you can't sell the buildings. There are two fuel stores though worth more than 400k each
Lol i sold the dog house the other day and ended up getting like 400K for it too 😂
The liquid fertilizer tank goes for 430k+ as well. The silage bunker sells for 200k+ as well. I've sold both petrol tanks, replaced the one on the main farm for 10k, the fert tank, and the doghouse to fund fields. Keeping the bunker silo.
Don’t go with smaller fields you go small every series it’s nice to see you where big equipment can be used
I bought most of the small fields during the second winter sales - you can fit a foldable 6m corn header in there, so I am planting sunflower for the pigs. Low yield means I can harvest each field in one go and unload crop in between fields. All grass so initial silage bales from them paid for 1/2 the fields outright.
My tests with stones would seem to indicate that equipment suffers a +10% wear (if the field is 100% covered) - tractors are unaffected. But since repair costs on things like seeders and cultivators tends to be very low the +10% is relatively negligible. So if you end up getting most of the stones picked, what little remains will have little effect on running costs.
The stones produced by the black sheep modding subsoiler are small enough to be rolled back in. Because they have that subsoiler act as a plow.
Any yellow stone on the map is able to be rolled instead of picked.
10:30 he sat there and watched them get pushed back in😂
I don't mind watching the stone picking. Besides, the stones that come out of the fields you can crush to get lime.. Free lime. That's an A+ in my book.
If the Stones were not producing Lime then I would say let them go, the new Mod makes it worth it.
I'd like to see comparable fields. So one field you leave stones and weeds, no lime, no fertiliser, no rolling, etc. Then the full beans on another field with same crop. So that you can show the yield difference really clearly.
I dont mind if its 2 big, medium or small fields...but I would really enjoy watching (with your skills) that way of playing.
Thanks for the content.👍🏼
I enjoyed the stones but yeah it was definitely time to get done with them.👍👍
You’ll probably never see this, but calmsden farms is a very real place. I actually drove through it while at work today! It is so spot on.
The only things that aren’t quite accurate is that the woodland next to the grass field you bought it actually a steep hill, And there is an animal cremation unit next to the council tip! Very impressed
Never knew that, I'd guess I'm not the only one too...
(Sorry if I’m repeating someone) From what I seen on the title of this clip, it is easy to say should of used it from the beginning. hindsight is 20/20. Marvellous series by the way.
I like the stone picking and the field work. It is relaxing to watch. Brings back memories of growing up on a farm. But I do hate the loading of pallets. I would rather see a self loading trailer.
I agree we need a self loading trailer for pallets across all platforms
Hey Daggerwin, I understand the frustrations with uploading to UA-cam. After an hour or 2 editing to then spend another few hours trying to get it to upload to UA-cam was why I stopped producing content. I just don't have the time to wait that long for 1 half hour video. I even tried 15 min timelapse videos, and that still takes an age! Thank you for sticking with it though, your videos are fantastic 👌
Dude loving the vids inspired my own calmsden adventuren! Just to let you know the workers go diagnolly because you set them off without the tractor and wheels facing straight on, if you line them up and then start worker they'll hold that line
Hej Daggerwin, I also strongly oppose selling your starting fields. Yes, they are a lot of work, but I think with the rules you set for yourself, you made your life harder than necessary. For my own personal play-through, I went with x3 time scale and three days / month. I am also using CoursePlay for the workers, as this way, using the worker is much less painful than using the stock worker. Retaining the big field enables you to realise the big incomes you need for upgrading your equipment further, getting more fields and/or productions. With only small fields, I fear, progression would get far too slow.
Love your work, dude!
Doesn't bother me these two fields have taken a long time. But you should check for a map update. Pretty sure Field 3 is bugged.
For stones; keep them. After you have picked the "big ones" you can either pick up the smaler ones in the next seasons OR just roll them down since you already want to roll field for that extra yield.
the Elho picker is from Finland and made to get the rocks gone from the domestic ice that moved a lot of stones inland. biggest width is 7,1 meter so not to far from real:-)just fun fact nothing else. like your vids:-). mrsealyp also uses blimey lol
I like the stone mod. Much faster and looks good. Keep up the good work
I Miss Watching you play full
Realistic play.. Will you be back at that kind of Let's Play Style Series Again ??
Stones. I think they are a part of farming, but they tend to appear far too fast. Farming channel Welker Farms had a video of them picking stones manually when they went through a field. Usually large stones that surface. I think they roll the rest to avoid damage to the combine header. However, I think there is a limit to what shows up. Til the ground, stones come up, get picked, and they should be gone. However, in FS22, those same stone patches pop up later in the same places.
It is a valiant first attempt to introduce stone picking as a game play element, but there are so many other things that they could try. Buildings using materials from the store. Cement factories to burn the limestone, to make cement.
That's my two cents.
Thanks for the vids!
Maybe think about removing the bottom left corner of 3 for a track thru the shrubs that connects right into the top of the road next to 6? Saves you that tight turn at the house or the long loop around.
I like the stone picking with the new machine, adds the fun of making your own lime and spreading it down.
Hopefully that mod comes out on console because that would make me keep stones on :)
I'm hoping so too
Daggerwin , it may not seem very realistic, but If you seel the fuel tanks at the main farm you can get up to 350,000 love you vids
I think you’re doing a fantastic job, putting out these amazing videos. Keep it up and be your self. Great videos as always
Glad you liked the stone collector, for me it was use the bigger one or turn stones off altogether. With bigger fields you can test and use bigger machinery that are too big for your other series, and most you have done so far. Farming is a constantly repeating job, every year the same thing so what is the difference between planting, harvesting or collecting stones, its farming
Do you have a link for the stone collector mod?
This map doesn't seem to be too helper friendly. Maybe courseplay would be a good addition? Keep up the great work 😃
I think the youtube thing may be a problem on your end daggerwin, possibly due to internet connection or timeouts? Most of my videos are 40+ minutes and no issues with the upload.
However as per usual, great content and your videos are a part of my breakfast routine 👌
Really like the Series.
Interesting to see you spray for weeds in the canola field - as you have not done this in fs22 yet.
Keep up the good work
May we ask where you found the extended rock picker? I would love to try it out on a couple of my farms. Thank you
Love this mod but BEWARE, I tried this on a multi player map (and changed colors) and it caused all sorts of problems; not only on my farm but other players farms as well. As soon as we removed it from game, problems vanished.
@@Dustbunney54 Hello. Where can i find this mod (stone picker)? Tnx for info.
@@kranerchris I don't remember where I found that one and it caused nothing but problems when I did use it. There is a standard base game one in the mod hub that works just fine.
You can use the soil composition tab on the map to look at the levels of stones on the field.
Thanks, Daggerwin I always enjoy the videos.
Using the XL stonepicker definitely makes it manageable.
Hey Daggerwin, With the poplar, I was pretty disappointed to find how expensive the harvesters were. I was about to just plow over my poplars, then I found the wood chip baler that attaches to your tractor to lease for around 5K. Maybe on your new field, with the poplars, Go around the outside of your field a couple times, one pallet of poplars goes a LONG way.
Those feilds by the river are very nice. Maybe hang on to a medium feild and just let your helper handle that feild
Don't know that, you have seen my comment. And a little bit updated comment. You should also use the GPS mod. You can do field works more straight. And the corseplay mod, it will make feild workes smart and controllable. You should also use the Autodrive mod, it will make, driving cars and tractors so easy. And you can hire a AIworker for the Vines and the Olives. And there is a unload combine feature in it. You should see the tutorial of it. And you should also use the Front Lifter mod, if you use it, you can do some insane things .
Love the videos, both series! I would keep the large field. The field work is why we play the game. It’s suppose to take time. I find this aspect very relaxing about the game.
I like all the process's...if its getting 2 much just time-lapse it or do half of it off screen. You can always buy a second seeder and second roller as you expand. Might be more cost effective and probably will be faster than renting all the time. Please don't sell the big field....enjoying the series.
A question for you, Daggerwin. What happens to your gameplay video files once you’ve uploaded them? Video files are BIG. You’d need so much space to keep them. Or do you just delete them from your home computer/system? Genuinely interested.
Yeah I delete them every week
@@Daggerwin Noooooooooooo!!! :)
Sell f2 not f3
F3 is right outside of the yard it would seem weird
Love the new stone picker saves tones of time
Hope the series will last 100 ep
Oh yes look all the realistic people daggerwin is coming over to join the dark side more every episode 😂 great mod wish someone would drop the mod for console
Sugarcane is one of my favorite crops in game. Takes forever to harvest but its just relaxing to me. I use the single row harvester with a large trailer attached.
'it really can't get much better' shows the patchiest map i've ever seen
Did you know that it is a big grass clearing inside of the woodlands by the pigs? I was going in there to do some foresting work in the winter time and was amazed that it was a big grassfield inside 😅
I definitely think the stone picking is great for your benefit in the lime maker.
In the forests that are on 2 sides of field 23 you own. have a look ! it's not all forest.... the trees hide 2 grass fields.
I'm enjoying your series. FYI the playlist only has the first 3 in it as of this posting. Thanks.
Iconik makes really spectacular mods, he had some great ones for 19. And they’re doing the same for 22.
I think it is your pedals stopping your cruise control. There's been a few times you've stopped, but your tractor has rolled on like the pedal is being pressed slightly. It did it in this video when you just emptied the stone picker.
where did you find the big stone picker?
In order to work 10 fields/crops fully I think you would have to set the game speed to real time. Then you wont make much money and it would take ages.
Oh well, seems pretty realistic to me for a farming sim lol
I think some stuff like the stone generation time should have a time scale of how soon they generate eg 25%, 50%, 75% speed etc regardless of game speed or like every 2nd, 3rd crop etc.
Same with weeds, lime ploughing. Wish we could set a rate rather than turn it on or off.
I've enjoyed the last episodes, since you are actually doing some work and after will get a big-ish harvest
This map reminds me of Jeremy Clarkston farm from his farm Adventure
Also, big logging operation. Get the machines and what not.
Hi I have played this game since 17, but not this version. Lost my mojo for playing just before 22's release date. I have watched this series up to and including this one. You seem to be chasing the clock mainly because the much improved AI is the same as it used to be. Three game days and 5 times speed is still a short time for a single person to play seasons with an unreliable AI. I really like this map, so I went back to steam and looked in to buying it. $49.99 for the base game for me ATM is too much. So I will get my fix watching you and a few others. Yes I know I still have FS 19 but I really like this map.
| never have to deal with rocks that need picking - those only come from subsoiling, and I plow when needed - there are plenty of non-molderboard plows out there that have real and honest HP ratings, besides the abomination lizard 6/9m 'subsoiler' - hence I have only small rocks and those are taken care of by rolling. When I do buy a field that has large rocks, I pick it with the stock rock picker in winter, part of the initial plow/liming I do on all new bought fields. Its not a lot of annual work. Stones only hurt harvesters (according to FS Academy which is up to date) so if small, they always can be left until post plant rolling stage. Slower plowing also is subsidized by the fact of having no weeds.
people are weird , on a map with small field he keep buying more field, in a map of big field he wants to sell a big one and buy small, oxigen david probably is a walker or cyclist because all his maps the roads are so tight.
So much for not slowing down time. I think it's better that you don't make rules for yourself like that and put yourself in a bind. Just alter time how you see fit and play the game.
Slowing down time and adding more days per month aren't much different - you'll still be within each month doing what you need to get done.
Yes to the large stone picker time saver Well worth it .
Stones are a part of the cycle, whether we like ‘Em or not. Just glad we won’t see Em for a while.
I noticed on ehlo's website they have a 550 sf where you can pull a trailer beside it whilst it's working like a potato or sugar beet harvester and they have a bigger scorpio 710. would love for modders to make those some day. would make stone picking large fields just a bit easier
Every farmer I know in real life would remove the stones from their fields before plowing it (damage to the plow etcetera). So yeah that's realism. But not everyone would fertilize it as done in the game... Modern, eco-friendly and bio-labeled crops are fertilized a lot with bio compost. (no added chemicals)
There is a mod for the roller it just increases the speed to 11mph, and that extra 4mph makes a real difference.
I really hope that one day giants will sort out better intelligence for the workers so you could set way points on a map so they know were to go or that they follow lines and contours of fields etc would make it much realistic and not such a hassle of continuous checking up on them and clean up that much. I have multiple ideas for it but now idea how to program etc to make a mod or something like that..
To be fair farming is repetitive and stone lifting is usually only done for potatoes, all others are done by the rollers so it doesn't catch the headers, well done tho on cracking videos 👍
It's my birthday today it would mean a lot if daggerwin sees this also love your vids
A very nice change of pace. Thankyou x
Hi Daggerwin, just to let you know if you press ctrl+f it enables the full beam headlights.
where is the download for the stone picker?
I really wish u could move the lime production to a new place. Remember the place that u didn't know it was yours. Just behind the current Lime production place.. whee there is a white car near a place, a shed or a small house maybe. Just around the corner. I think that would fit.. or just before that entrance. Pls consider.
I think that selling field 3 and buying other smaller fields will help make the series a bit more interesting and not 4 episodes of just preparing fields.Loving the series keep up the great work.
Farmer Cop ran a test on the damage to equipment caused by stones and the results were negligible. Simply put it really didn't matter.
Where did you find the larger stone picker mod?
tired of stones think giants got that bit wrong. but your series and very entertaining too.. do what you think is right
All I want to see big machines in big fields
Where can I find this stone collector mod ?
They should make stones only appear after you plow/subsoil and maybe after like 3-5 cultivation’s you have to de-stone the field
How many times do you have to pick stones in a particular field? Do stones actually disappear at all?
if you put the subsoiler on the front and the stone picker on the back you can then plough and pick up the stones all at the same time
God blimey daggerwin 140k for roller our Dennis won’t be happy with that price 🇬🇧🚜
I do like to see all the work you did the past episodes, I would also understand that you think it's very boring to do all of them again and again.
I love how much lime is produced. But ya rocks are annoying. (Edit) I did sugar cane once and never again.
If you weren't pressed for time, all of the time wasted rolling the field for a +2.5% yield might be worth doing. As it is, I'd skip the rolling until next time.
I am looking forward to fresh new things 😄
Yeah, "The Stones" are ready to be recycled 😁
do you have a link for the stone picker Daggerwin. cheers bud
The cruise control problem is most likely your brake. Steering and accelerating dont switch of the CC
Daggerwin if you get additional settings you can turn depth of field on and off permanently
Stones only appear from subsoiling, plowing, and deep cultivation. They won't appear if you use a direct drill or a shallow cultivator, or a disc harrow.
Do you have a Logitech side panel? My side panel button 25 cruise control has stopped working
so where is the link to this new stone picker?
hi farmers need a little help but i cant get my words out in away that will make sence lol
i have a question abput something called silage addative which i can add to the bailer i use what do silage addative actualy do and how do i use it correctly i added it to my bailer but the amount of silage addative has not gone down and ive done loads of bailing any ideas what im doing wrong lol
You should have just went for the super huge one! Lol. Thing looks stupid but damn getting stones is boring
Is the stone picker a mode for ps4 too or just pc
