There are two different meanings behind the video compared to the song lyrics. In the video, Lil Nas is both Adam and Eve and the serpent in his sexuality that he is trying to run from but can't escape. So he embraces it. He is looked down upon from the world and religion that tells him he is going to Hell because he is gay and just because he loves someone of his own sex. He is everyone in the video because the fantasy land is called Montero, his real name. He shows that he is alright going to hell because he is taking back what others have said to him and wants to show the world that no one will ever control what he says or does. He has more courage then anyone laughing or making fun of him in your "Reaction" video. He also will still make more money and have more influence on millions of people then any of you ever will. "I spent my entire teenage years hating myself because of the shit y'all preached would happen to me because i was gay. So i hope you are mad, stay mad, feel the same anger you teach us to have towards ourselves." - Lil Nas X. It really irritates me that Lil Nas X had to made this music video for people like this. And some people really don't understand the meaning of the music video if not here's a summary: when Lil Nas x 1st pronounced himself as gay he got a lot of hate comments, harassment, etc. And people said "gays go to hell!" or "being gay is a sin" other stuff, so the 1st part where he's sitting by the tree resembles the Adam and Eve reference which shocks me a lot that people didn't get. Then the next scene where he's shown being taken to the trial because, the people didn't accept him for who he was ( for being gay ) then it was a Greek / Roman reference so since he was different they stoned him to death. After you see him being brought to heaven to be "Fixed", but instead he goes to hell because he chooses to be gay, gives Satan a lap dance, and takes his spot. I know this pissed off a lot of christian's, homophobic's, and parents. For christian's Which I understand because he's doing a lot of religious stuff, and there's a lot of religious stuff in the video, and he was mocking the bible / god. But for parent's ... Lil Nas X even said for himself it was not his job to monitor you're kids and what they watch, it's YOU'RE job to monitor what your kids watch not him so for ever single parent that was overreacting and throwing shit messages at him is completely childish. *For homophobic's Honestly you people just target him because he's a black gay man, and if it's like that don't even acknowledge his existence basically leaving him alone. *But you guys told him to go to hell, so he did like y'all said. Ok..after watching this reaction I literally saw no disrespect here!!! They were just laughing and doing their own reaction,They didn’t talk about his sexuality or his preference they were literally just sitting their laughing and some were making faces but thats subtle. This just goes to show that people will never be satisfied until you actually agree or go along with the way they live. Look here,to all the gays and bisexuals and of Ofcourse trans people. You just have to deal with the fact that lots of people do not support you or the way you live and not saying that we hate you we just don’t agree with your lifestyle. Some will support and others will not and you just have to accept that!!! You have your rights and we have ours. Stop focusing on people who don’t like what you do then maybe yall will stop crying “homophobic “ every once In a while.
I agree, and I'm gay. So, you don't need to say "all the gays and bisexuals..." cuz we don't all agree on everything. Actually, these guys seemed pretty supportive. Even though they were not so comfortable with the whole gay thing, they did say "no disrespect" to the lgbt, and they said he is very creative, and also admitted to liking his songs. People still have their own tastes, and saying "gay ass shit" about certain fashion does not mean you hate gays. Maybe you don't like the flamboyant fashion. Not the same. And now at a later age, having made several really close gay friends, I feel ridiculous for thinking they were weird or wrong in some way. We grow by associating and connecting with people outside of our bubbles (whether it be race, religion, orientation, etc). I hope you all get to experience that :)

Hey guys, let's remember a bit of etiquette in these comments. I think these five friends tried hard to react to this video. They gave the music it's legitimate props, and they knew there was some strong blasphemously homoerotic content ahead. There must have been some real apprehension. That room just heating up from 5 supple young lads filling the space, breathing a little faster as Nas starts sliding down that pole. It starts innocent guys. One of them sees those gates of hell and has to take his shirt off, nothing sexual, just it's getting so hot in here. Soon more follow suit, and Nas is mounting the devil. Things happen, maybe it was devil possession, maybe just hormones. But in the end you would have reaction footage completely unusable for UA-cam. Better just to end it early. Think about that!
Nobody cares, you’re worshiping a celebrity that is begging for your attention. Manson did this same shit in the 90’s before his fame died out.
@@cab1stborn Literally every celebreality or artist is wanting attention. That is literally how they all make money. Your comment means nothing.

SONG AND VIDEO OF THE YEAR FOR ME!!!!
No
It sucks
God don’t like ugly
Revelations is happening right here
Can’t you see it?
And gave Satan a lap dance. Y'all can stay mad, Stay pressed, Stay irritated, Nas ain't going nowhere.

Calling someone homophobic just because they don’t like something you like Is elementary energy. Their are people out here that love the things you do.
So, I agree that for the ones who think they are all bigots because they didn't say they love all things gay, I think they are overreacting.

@@Priceley Yeah, and they also said the things that I've pointed out. So, how do you resolve what seems to be a contradiction? It's not black and white. It's not either completely love and embrace all things gay or despise all things gay. It's not even that way for me as a gay man. People still have their own tastes, and saying "gay ass shit" about certain fashion does not mean you hate gays. Maybe you don't like the flamboyant fashion. Not the same. I mean, I may not say "gay ass shit," but I might also not like the fashion choice, and it could be because I think it's too stereotypically gay or fem or just tacky. Kinda like how some people from the hood may say "ghetto ass shit" about some styles etc. that they don't like. Doesn't mean they hate all people and things from the hood. Just means there are some things about it they don't like. ;)

There really wasn't any gay bashing. Are they the most open people in regards to LGBT? Of course not, but they were respectful. One said "no disrespect" to lgbt, and they admitted to liking his songs and acknowledged his creativity and used no gay epithets. The problem is they didn't finish the video, but elsewhere in the comments section, one of them responded that they video cut off, that's why they didn't finish it, but decided to post anyway. So, people who don't know that, assume the worst, of course.

And now at a later age, having made several really close gay friends, I feel ridiculous for thinking they were weird or wrong in some way.
