Looks easier in this video than it is depending on your type vehicle. I strongly suggest discarding all the hardware and getting 1/2 inch self tapping screws. You may or may not need to drill pilot holes if pedals are metal. It will save you time and headache! Plus the chances of them coming off are slim to none. ( I purchased a different type of pedal with multiple holes which made the adapation easier.)
These brake and gas pads are dangerous.Depending on the model car one has my new pads were too close on my gas and brake pedals my footwear would at times press both pedals down I thought I had to just get used to them but I was sadly mistaken.I was approaching a stop light and went to hit my brake instead I accelerated right into the back of someone car my headlamp cracked and left front bumper is hanging off the other car had minor scratch and didn't pursue any insurance payment. I explained to him what happened it was an innocent mistake my drivers license been clean for over 30 years.I will start my own repairs tomorrow. I've taken those dangerous pads off my car so be careful with using them.
Both you guys forgot to take off the black plastic rubber on the brake and the gas pedal,which will cause these covers to slip off,and the nuts come out fast with strong vibration caused by the rubber padding.i had to learn the hard way..they should tell people this in the directions
@@kash662nah he’s talking about the factory pedals. Some cars (mainly older), the foot pad on those pedals aren’t attached to the pedal arm usually just snapped on like a lego piece
I strongly suggest to buy a pack of mini split washers to add onto the nuts, to eliminate the nuts vibrating loose over time and to finish the tightening with an electric screwdriver set to max torque, just so the tightening is quick and less awkward.

You're absolutely right because my new brake pad cover screws loosened in two areas after I tightened them and it can be dangerous while driving if pushing the loose brake pad that's touching the gas pedal causing the car to unexpectedly accelerate.
I have now removed these and gone back to the original factory pedal covers because the color fades easily and looks very ratty. Very poor wear-resistance with these color metal covers. They only look good for a month or two

It don't matter hoe tight I get it the damn thing won't stay. I even tightened it so tight the screws pulled through. It's in the passenger seat til I figure out what I'm going to do to make it stay.

I bought these off shein for really cheap- but after reading the comments I’m just not gunna bother installing them I rather waste $3 then $$$ getting my car fixed due to negligence.😢

I bought the same exact ones for my 96 F-150, but the holes on these aren't spaced enough for the existing pedals...

You could also put a little threadlocker on the screws. Combined with lock washers, they should stay in place.
