Actually these r the movies that should receive nominations in Indian movie awards but on the contrary in India where Bollywood is so immature. only movies with big starcast will be highlighted. Instead awards shows can be a platform where hidden gems can highlighted and real actors n movies can be made well known to Indian real audience..but alas...zero n race 3 etc will be the hightlights

Half of them are non commercial movies. Mainly art movies. So many bollywood dont consider them. Also depends who produces directs the movie. How big is the starcast etc.
commercial success cant be ignored becaue i film ke directors actors ko bhi pese chahie to make nd work in tht movies. without profit any industry cant survive natioanl award nomination se pet nahi bharta so they should find a strategy to make such movies hit commercialy. most indian audiance go to watch movie for fun to boast in circle to go out wid frnds and faamily , wese bhi kaafi saare ese movies bante he but actual me unse koi socio economic change nahi hota fir dekhke bhi kya fayda, director bhi esi film banate he par actual me wo bhi kuch change nhi kar pate. politician most corrupt people give national awrd nd nomination to such film to koi matlab nhi banta kaua chala hans ki chaal. so public atleast sachto batati he ese film makerss ko , youth i behind money foreign staatus high profle career jo ki reality bhi he to fir why to give this gyan which is impractical.

Out of 18 I've seen 7, that too in theaters. Each movie is so different and u comparable. 2018 was a great year for quality of hindi movies. But it is the people who have to up their standard of movies and watch such movies in theaters. 🙏

I watched 'Patakha' in theater and I really the liked the raw emotions that potreyed through the movie and acting of 'Radhika Madan' was really good. I already watched 'Bhawesh Josi' and 'Beyond the clouds' on netflix. It's quite funny that people know 'Ishaan Khattar' for his strereotypical-bollywood movie 'dhadak' inspite of the fact that his debut was 'Beyond the clouds'. Also, if someone haven't noticed there is a little part of 'jhin-jhin-jhinak' song in background of one of the scene of the 'Beyond the Cloud'. Being a fan of Marvel and superheroes comics cum movies series, I always bewildered, what's lacked in Indians-film-industries to produce movies like that and the answer I got after watching 'Bhawesh Josi', infact just for scarcasm 'Chavanprash' song's lyrics is far better than the most of blloywood's item-number's lyrics. From this year onward, I am on my mission to not to waste money on 'bakwaas Bollywood stereotypical' movies.
