I have a theory that the Paw Paw fruit is possibly at least the second most powerful fruit. It can deflect pretty much anything, even the pain from inside someone's body. If it can do that, I believe it can deflect the devil fruit, haki and even the soul out of someone's body. Then you could also possibly deflect that devil fruit and haki into yourself, giving you multiple devil fruits and increasing your haki. Beyond this, maybe the fruit could even deflect the negative side effects of the fruits, so you can still swim and not be affected by sea-prism.
