Yeah good refresh indeed
Awesome video thanks mike
I have a 13speed Eaton when u go into high range truck will not move
Like torque is not being transferred through. But truck moves in low gears. Could the slide collar be getting stuck half way?
Yes that is probably what is happening. Check your air pressure and check for leaks at or near the range cylinder or slave valve. You could also have a cracked or broken range cylinder piston. That would show up as an air leak at the slave valve when you go into hi range.
@@msartore6597 I’ll take a look at it today when I put it in hi range I hear the cylinder moving like you normally would , might have to remove the rear box and inspect it. By the way I was in your class In 2015! Now I Run 6 bay my own shop 😎
@@Navi-u5tReally?? Navi, I think I remember that kid!! And look at your now! You should be proud of yourself. You think you can swing by the school anytime soon? You still in the area?? And is your slave piston broken???
@@msartore6597 haha I was freshening up my memory on manual auxiliary units (since everything I work on is AMT) crazy to come across your video! Yes I’m in Kent I will swing by sometime next week and find ya, then we can talk about this issue I’ve never seen this before
I have a 13 speed when I push the red splitter farward it down shift instead of up shift and my engine light comes on when I pulpit back it up shift what could be the problem
For it up shifting instead of down shifting it sounds like your airlines are on wrong on your shifter. Not sure about your check engine light though
How much synchronizer brake
Good evening how you doing dad my name is Abraham Fofana can you please help you me are as machines
The main reason you want to strap the countershafts is so they don't come out of timing. When I know I'm rebuilding the auxiliary section a lot of times I don't even strap the countershafts and just leave the covers on. Now one tip for the pins is wire brush clean them before you go to put the auxiliary section back in that way they're smooth. If it's a modern rtlo##918 speed or a rtlo##913 speed there's 2 things you're aligning when you're putting it in and that's the countershafts into the auxiliary drive gear and the other thing you're trying to align is the splitter shift collar into the main shaft splines. But looks like you pulled a dinosaur transmission that's becoming obsolete nowadays. Another fun tip depending on the transmission if it's like a 98LL 99LL 915 or even a fro##210 you can assemble the auxiliary section inside the transmission while it's standing like that and put the auxiliary section cover on afterwards. Either way good video
I did this, and it won't go into low gear now. It won't move. it goes into gears actually but won't move
