As a person from the west who is interested in spiritual enlightenment and eastern religions and spirituality, Hinduism is so very intriguing. I wish I had the money to go to India and immerse myself.
My search for truth also led me right to Hinduism. I was reared Christian and with that line of thought God is frightening. Hinduism makes God seem approachable, friendly, even. I also wish there were more teachers.
Pretty similar for me, as well, so I can understand. I wasn't born into Hinduism, I was raised christian, etc. In fact, I didn't even seek Hinduism out. It's hard to explain, but it actually sought me out. Like it was meant to happen or something. I've never felt more at peace with myself and everything around me since I began to embrace it and learn things about it. I'm definitely not stopping, either.
You were raised in biblical ignorance then. The God of the bible is Jesus Christ. Though there's more to it than that, Jesus is as perfect a representation of what God is actually like as we can possibly understand. He became human to show us what He is really like and we hated Him and killed the crap out of Him. He should be afraid of us. But He loves us. Who could possibly be more approachable than one who lets His creation kill Him and doesn't even fight back and still loves the ones who are killing Him? What more could He possibly do to be approachable? The views of Christianity that the vast majority of people have are 100% shallow presuppositions. Strawmen created by critics which have been woven into the general education of society. Pretend for a second that Satan is real. Doesn't it seem to anyone that he is doing a great job of keeping people away from Jesus through mountains of bad P.R.? Satan is incredibly intelligent.
@@jonathanvanryn6268 There are many religions but only one God. I am extremely happy and at peace with my relationship with the God of my understanding.
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 4:17 God loves and blesses you!✝✝✝ Turn away from these evil things and turn and seek Jesus Christ for hope, love, and peace! This is not the truth of eternal light, the truth is Jesus Christ for eternal light and life, hope, love, peace, salvation, and the answer to getting to Heaven!✝✝✝ God loved us so much that he sent his one and only son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins so that one day we can see God in heaven and go to heaven! Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and HE WILL FORGIVE you! Ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness for your sins and He will forgive you because He is a merciful God! Repent before it's too late!!!✝✝✝ symbol of Jesus's sacrifice, love, and salvation!✝✝✝

All men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, the wages for our sin is death. The Good news is that God so loved the world, that he sent his ONLY begotten son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. Whoever believes in their heart that Jesus died on the cross, rose again on the 3rd and confesses with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, will be saved. God created us to have a relationship with him, only through Jesus can we be reunited with him.

"There is nothing more rewarding than Dharma, or ruinous than it's neglect" I love this. Everything in this Religion is so fascinating, humble and truth for me. Thank you for this highly educational video! Very fulfilling
Sharing knowledge to web. Dharma is not Religion. Dharma is a righteous duty, doing the right thing against the will of your mind( mind will certainly work to stop you doing right thing like regular excercise) or worldly circumstances or with calculation of profit or loss.
Definitely, I'd suggest to read the Bhagavad Gita, and about Advaita Vedanta, it's all about meditation/awareness and the philosophies behind it, our true nature
how can a Catholic believe in both? Unless the Christian is open minded not caught up in the dogma and understands christ consciousness but then would they could they really follow the church if they know about the dharma? Or learned the history? I couldn't but it did make me want to know the true yeshua teachings...which is very yogi and Buddhist❤❤

I wasn't born into Hinduism. And for a very long time, I distanced myself from religion and spirituality entirely. I didn't even seek Hinduism out in the first place. It's hard to explain, but it actually sought me out. Like it was meant to happen or something. I've never felt more at peace with myself and everything around me since I began to embrace it and learn things about it. I'm not stopping, either. I feel my soul strongly being called to go to India, as well. So I hope to be there one day.
@Shruti Yadav I'll keep that in mind whenever I can finally visit. I love the ancient Hindu temples in your country. Also I'm learning to speak Hindi, but I'm not very good at it yet. I can read it just fine, but I don't know very many words yet.
@Shruti Yadav I know enough Hindi to hold a basic conversation, but sadly I don't have any Indian friends to practice conversations with. 😕 The sounds of the language are easy for me. I'm just not familiar with the meanings of some words yet. That temple looks amazing. It's a Shiva temple, correct? Also since you asked, मै अमेरिका से हूँ।
@Shruti Yadav I love and respect all of the deities, so I'll show that same respect to the temples. I strongly feel called to the goddesses, myself. Durga, especially. I only have one very small Hindu temple near where I live, but I'm grateful to have one at all. I've heard about the many different languages in India. I find them all interesting. I feel like it would still be helpful to know some Hindi, however. I actually enjoy learning it. The grammar messes me up sometimes, but I'm trying my best. 😅 I'll have to keep that place in mind. With how many places I wanna see over there, I may as well just live there. Haha. Joking aside, I'm serious when I say my soul is being called to be there. Hard to explain, but it feels like it's meant to happen. In the meantime, I'm doing my best to learn and understand the culture. Also, if you wanna chat on another platform besides youtube, I'm okay with that if you are. If not, it's okay, and I understand. I just appreciate the conversation, is all.
@Shruti Yadav honestly I'll be happy to explain why I feel the connection I feel, but I'm not sure if you or anyone else will believe me. It's a long story, but I deeply hope you'll read it anyway. You might enjoy it. So to start with, I have a spirit that's been watching over me my whole life. I found this out because a few months ago, I started to spiritually awaken. It came to me, and I didn't seek it out. I never was religious or spiritual up until that point. During that time, I discovered I have very strong intuitive abilities that I'm able to use whenever I want, which enables me to communicate with my spirit guide in a (somewhat) direct way. Through my communication with her, I found out she's an Indian lady that was born in the late 1400s and died in the mid 1500s. There's a temple in Tamil Nadu that my spirit guide told me she went to in her earthly life, and I really want to visit it. And she also told me that she was picked by Durga herself to watch over me. Hence why I feel so connected to Ma Durga and have so much love and admiration for her. I also recently came across something called jivanmukta, and it resonated very deeply with me. Basically a soul that's liberated while still human. I believe it's true for me, because it's always been difficult for me to have attachment to most things in this world, even before my awakening. And everything about my connection with Brahman and everything else in the universe just comes naturally to me. Living a peaceful life and doing good for others comes naturally to me. My connection to nature comes naturally. As with everything else, that concept sought me out. It's like this is all meant to be happening for me. It's all too perfect to be coincidence. I don't expect you to believe me, and I know it sounds crazy. But this is all very real, and I feel very blessed to put it lightly.
@david nichols Dude just shut the fuck up. If you're not a hindu, don't fucking watch videos of it. Shut up and stop acting like the white christian savior you think you are.

I had a very secular experience with a vary vague understanding of Buddhism growing up Han Chinese, Hinduism is more interesting and beautiful than I imagined, Im very against organized religions I see it as a tool to manipulate the least educated masses, But Hinduism seems like it’s urging you to explore your own consciousness and morality, it can really change how you view the world like with Daoism although it’s more of a philosophy than a religion.
Dont fool urself, it is a religion, the real religion, ancient and orderly, it is not art of living, thats nonsense, it is religion thats why u fast, u don't eat meat or not on some days, thats why u believe in astrology, in nature, in worship, so don't fool urself and others saying its art of living, its not art of living, its a strong old religion, stronger than them all!
🙏Truth is eternal. Hindus pursue knowledge and understanding of the Truth: the very essence of the universe and the only Reality. According to the Vedas, Truth is One, but the wise express it in a variety of ways.🙏

If we are all one and all as Brahma, God, Goddess, Shiva, the Universe, or whatever you may call it, then why treat it as something sperate from ourselves? Meditation, Prayer, and Yoga, or even one who achieves a meditative or spiritual state via Excercise, Music, etc. appear to all be paths to the same end. In the same way of thinking you could even say they are all the same activity in a sense. Though perhaps this is just coming from my agnostic point of view.
1. Congratulations on rediscovering your native culture, unfortunately the Abrahamics got to your ancestors and destroyed most of it but certainly, Hinduism has many similarities with all ancient indo European religions. 2. I'm an agnostic hindu too, answering what you asked. Shiva, god, the supreme deity, is not us, rather we are a part created from it and our purpose is to unite into it and attain moksha.
What u asked is right. In hinduism, it is also said that if u want to find a God, it is within u. U just have to see beyond the maya. And yoga and meditation are a part to reach there. But, every soul is on its own journey of finding the truth and the surrounding situations play a huge part in what path he/she is going to take. From here these various other traditions arose. But, all paths r right.
you are not different than God, you have to awaken urself and resonate with the vibration of the higher energy in order to merge into the cosmos of the creator, and unless u do that u will keep having rebirths. creator in hinduism is adi shakti or adi parashakti or etc (ppl give different names to her) - she is basically nature or the cosmos herself and creation and destruction is inevitable, even the god's incarnation cannot escape it, that is the concept.
this is kind of confusing as the left hand path doesn't have the orthodoxy of say the Abrahamic religions now I call myself a Thiestic Satanist although some Satanists as I'm sure you already know say that's not "true" Satanism because it's an atheist religion focused on base instincts and self glorification... I'm a moderately Christian writer who likes to take inspiration from well known mythologies-Greek, Roman, Norse, and even some Christian. I try to avoid using lore from still living religions that I am not part of, but I had a great stroke of inspiration upon hearing and reading about the goddess Kali, and how she lept from the folds of Durga's angry face. I have a character in a story I am writing who, among others, has a personal guardian spirit that protects her. This spirit has a similar design, sporting four arms, dark purple skin, and a nasty temper, as well as being summoned from the enraged face of the character she protects. I am worried that this could be considered harmful cultural appropriation, and the last thing I want to do is hurt others through inspiration. Should I change the character as to not accociate it with a religion I am not part of, contextualize in story, or simply not mention it?
Don't mention it if you are a Christian because you believe Christ is the only way and therefore it would negate the beliefs of people who worship Devi
You can give a nod to Hinduism where after seeing picture of Goddess Kali this person starts halucinating with something similar. You can keep it as long as you acknowledge the source.
If you're using the imagery of Kali. Give proper acknowledgement that where you got the inspiration from for this character ( Hinduism). Give proper acknowledgement and then it's morally, culturally right for one to use iconography of Kali.
You can find gurus who are properly educated in Sanskrit and the Puranas and Vedas in South India, especially in the region of Andhra Pradesh, since they come from a heritage of gurus who tell you exactly what it is .. undiluted, unadulterated truth of the Vedas and Puranas.. *_Why I'm Hindu?_* I'm a Hindu because it is one of most free religions of the world (I could say the only religion, a perspective) as it gives me the maximum freedom on almost everything. I'm a Hindu when I am not following any God, I am Hindu when I am following multiple gods, I am a Hindu when I am following one God, and what not. There is no limit in defining what Hinduism is, it is the tradition which allows me to dance in ecstasy, get ultimate experience of joy in the music (Nada Yoga), realise the self worth, know ownself. It provides me the ultimate freedom in living as I want, at the same time teaching me to follow the ontological theory originally can be drawn from the laws of Karma. It teaches me that the learning has no boundaries, and makes me to be shameless in learning anything that can provide benefits to others/society. Liberalism in learning can be seen when Hinduism openly talks about Kamasutra (The science of sexuality). The great science of consciousness and the mind donated to the world by Siddhartha (AKA Gotama Buddha) some of his teachings are yet to be proved by the modern sciences. There is more science in Hinduism than beliefs. Hinduism is the most diverse religion in the world with respect to its followings, cultures, traditions and values etc. It incorporates the different cultures from north to south, from east to west and the centre. The best thing I love about Hinduism is that it doesn't want you to change anything inside you or what you follow and who you follow, you can be a Hindu even when you don't go to the temple or any religious places, no obligations but to be nice to everyone and to yourself, and the last to know yourself. There is more to write on the beauty of Hinduism but the centuries will last, and the content won't. ❤️ A perspective with my little knowledge. Much love ❤️
Read Baghavat Gita, it's a great start, if you're interested in reading or book recommendations. Then study and recognize different aspects of Hinduism, namely - Monotheism Monism Polytheism Polymorphic Monotheism Henotheism Pantheism Panentheism Animism Agonism and Atheism (depending on which Philosophies of Hinduism). And more. Study the denominations/ Sampradhayas- Vaisnavism, Shaivism, Shaktism, Smartism, Sauram, Etc. And Understand different theological perspectives. More i can list down (as simple as possible), unless if you wish to know more :)
What path are you interested in? Devotion or wisdom ? I would recommend you to follow a guru. Like Vivekananda, Ramakrishna paramahamsa, shiridi Sai baba, neem Karoli baba, Ramana maharishi (the recent one). The list goes on. If you are looking for wisdom path you can read upanishads ( might be tough for a beguinner) or follow enlightened persons like Jiddu Krishnamurthy or UG Krishnamurthy.

Born and raised in a Hindu family in Bali, i am feeling more than ever that Hinduism conditions me to pursuit happiness in life. I also learn a lot and enjoy listening to virtual gurus: Gurudev, Sadhguru, Alan Watts, OSHO, J Krishnamurti, to name a few while actively involve in day to day Balinese Hindu traditions.
Thank you for the concise video. As a Christian, one Christian I have is in regard to the non dogmatic nature of hinduism. To me it seems a little reletavistic. Certainly Hindus believe falsehood can exist, yet all genuine religions can lead to God. But how do you determine which religion is genuine? It seems like if someone sincerely believes what they are doing glorifies God, you can tell them they're alright. But if people make a mistake about God (say they say He's not all pervasive), wouldn't it be important to tell them that they are mistaken to help them evolve? Might there be other things about God that we believe which are wrong enough to distort our understanding of Him?
We don't believe that God is cruel and will punish you just because you believed in Monotheism when it was Pantheism and vice versa. Hinduism itself isn't a religion, it's a family of religions centred around core values which other Dharmic faiths like Buddhism share. Buddhism doesn't believe in the soul unlike Hinduism though. Correct, we believe in right and wrong and the laws of Karma. The Church told Galileo he was wrong when he said the Earth revolves around the Sun but fast forward a few centuries and what do you know?
@@anonymousanonymous2319 @Anonymous Anonymous idk what galileo has to do with this conversation. I know you don't believe God will punish me for believing in a different religion. I don't think God punishes people just cause they aren't Christian, but if they heard about Christianity and rejected it knowing it was right, then they would be punished for unbelief. But to say you don't need to believe in any of the Hindu religions seems to me to undermine it's validity or make it kind irrelevant. How would you respond to that?
@@1JAMINben but it doesn't make sense for the people who lived before 2000 years ago, how were they supposed to predict the coming of Christ? Also Christ never objectively claimed to be God, he called to God and prayed. Christians don't follow the old testament anyway. It says the flesh of swine is unclean but they eat pork. It says wine is a mocker but Christians drink alcohol (and get drunk) The Bible says that 'God made two great lights', the moon is NOT a light. It is a reflection of sunlight so if we reject Christianity for going against science and logic eg rejecting evolution, the moon having light, Christ being God, prosecuting Galileo for proposing heliocentricism then I don't think God can possibly punish non-Christians given the hypocrisy and inconsistency. Hinduism doesn't require you to know about Christ or Muhammad etc. it doesn't require the knowledge of a certain person at a certain time. It is applicable universally and eternally. Hinduism is a colonial term referring to indian faiths under an umbrella term. The proper term is Sanatana Dharma which is a way of life. Every faith has principles and even many faiths eg aboriginals or Buddhism or Shintoism etc. have similar beliefs

In Hinduism, can one evolve within a single lifetime or are they confined within the limits of their "nature"? Can a person move to a higher position on the wheel of samsara in this life or do they have to wait for the next?
Hi Shelley, the time needed for the evolution of one’s Atman (soul) to Moksha (Self-Realization) depends on the depth and intensity of the self effort taken by that person. Man has been given the free-will to make that choice to make the effort. The scriptures say that it is indeed possible to evolve within a single lifetime with the guidance of a Self-Realized Guru and by faithfully following the spiritual Sadhana (practices) advised by that Guru. You may try reading the book “Autobiography of a Yogi” by “Paramahansa Yogananda.” You will find answers to a lot of your questions in this spiritual classic.
Just some of the problems I have (a former Hindu) with Hinduism:. 1. In reading the Vedas they don't mention later gods such as Shiva, Ganesh etc..why not? 2. Many gods were obviously myths, Shiva, Ganesh Hanuman..no such thing as anthropomorphic "gods" 3. The Upanishads (Vedanta) reads way too much into the Vedas that wasnt there to begin with.. (the Rig Veda esp. are only stories of how the Aryan gods "helped" them nothing more) 4. The Puranas story of "gods" were still being written a little over 1000 years ago...why so recent? 5. The Puranas are inconsistent between each other and within each one 6. The caste system is the worlds oldest form of apartheid (established by the conquering Aryans) --millions have suffered under it 7.There is absolutely no unified teaching of Hinduism nor unified body of direction...you can just about believe whatever you want and be a "Hindu".. 8.There is no unified, nor believable account of Creation...in the 10th mandala of the oldest book the Vedas it acknowledges that no one knows who or how all this is was created... 9.There is very little or no moral instruction by hindu priests...they are only used for and paid for (sometimes exorbitantly) ceremonies and useless mantras and "spells" 10.The doctrine of Samsar (reincarnation) makes no sense..why would God (gods) institute a process where you could not learn from your mistakes from a "past life"... 11.There are too many religious books and inconsistencies thruout each one- shows a vivid imagination by the rishis.. These are just some of the problems with Hinduism...there are more.... btw..I love my culture....but I have a real problem with the "truth" of Hinduism....

Unless the Christian is open minded not caught up in the dogma and understands christ consciousness but then would they could they really follow the church if they know about the dharma? Or learned the history? I couldn't but it did make me want to know the true yeshua teachings...which is very yogi and Buddhist❤❤
*_Why I'm Hindu?_*
I'm a Hindu because it is one of most free religions of the world (I could say the only religion, a perspective) as it gives me the maximum freedom on almost everything.

@Barbie Blues lol
Imagine believing any religion whatsoever.
It's all mythology, and i love it as such.
@Shruti Yadav thank you, friend. Also, Indian culture is very interesting to me. What part of the country are you from?
@Shruti Yadav I'll keep that in mind whenever I can finally visit. I love the ancient Hindu temples in your country.
Also I'm learning to speak Hindi, but I'm not very good at it yet. I can read it just fine, but I don't know very many words yet.
@Shruti Yadav I know enough Hindi to hold a basic conversation, but sadly I don't have any Indian friends to practice conversations with. 😕
The sounds of the language are easy for me.
I'll have to keep that place in mind.
I love Hinduism. I agree with the way of life and every single belief. It fits.
Sadhuwad think 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

@david nichols Dude just shut the fuck up. If you're not a hindu, don't fucking watch videos of it. Shut up and stop acting like the white christian savior you think you are.
Just some of the problems I have (a former Hindu) with Hinduism:.
1. In reading the Vedas they don't mention later gods such as Shiva, Ganesh etc..why not?
2. Many gods were obviously myths, Shiva, Ganesh Hanuman..no such thing as anthropomorphic "gods"... The God who created this vast universe obviously does not look like a human or animal and is likely invisible to human eyes
3. The Upanishads (Vedanta) reads way too much into the Vedas that wasnt there to begin with.. (the Rig Veda esp. are only stories of how the Aryan gods "helped" them nothing more)
4. The Puranas story of "gods" were still being written a little over 1000 years ago...why so recent?
5. The Puranas are inconsistent between each other and within each one
6. The caste system is the worlds oldest form of apartheid (established by the conquering Aryans) --millions have suffered under it
7.There is absolutely no unified teaching of Hinduism nor unified body of direction...you can just about believe whatever you want and be a "Hindu"..
8.There is no unified, nor believable account of Creation...in the 10th mandala of the oldest book the Vedas it acknowledges that no one knows who or how all this is was created...
9.There is very little or no moral instruction by hindu priests...they are only used for and paid for (sometimes exorbitantly) ceremonies and useless mantras and "spells"
10.The doctrine of Samsar (reincarnation) makes no sense..why would God (gods) institute a process where you could not learn from your mistakes from a "past life"...
11.There are too many religious books and inconsistencies thruout each one- shows a vivid imagination by the rishis..
These are just some of the problems with Hinduism...there are more....
btw..I love my culture....but I have a real problem with the "truth" of Hinduism....
Thank you I am a great fan of the Hindu beliefs and gods truly most amazing history going back millions of years thank you
Am I the only one here having a spiritual awakening and finally realising my purpose and what I should do with my spirituality
Of course not! Namaste
Nope. Hinduism is the greatest way of life
What's your zodiac sign bro?
Nope! I always felt that Christianity was not my thing. Hinduism is so beautiful and its teachings as well as beliefs are just so…I don’t know how to explain it, but it feels so right when I pray and meditate following Hinduism rather than not. I was raised in a Christian household so I have to keep my newfound religion a secret, but I am truly passionate about my beliefs now.
I started to learn about Hinduism about a year now my friends in big rapids Michigan they are Hinduism I never experienced anything like this never knew how much love and happiness powerful Hinduism me as a Christian I never knew about this including Buddha I'm trying to get deep down to learn about Hinduism.. Hinduism help me out with everything I appreciate and respect for all .I love India music and thier lifestyle especially Mantras Buddha ppl God bless each and one 🙏🕉️🙏🕉️🙏
@kalib Stanton that free food is also derived from Hinduism, countless Hindu Temples do it everyday for the last 3000-5000years atleast without taking a single penny from the eater.
@kalib Stanton actually, i am from India. If you come to India you will find that even Sikhs pray and worship Hindu Deities. Actually, the British divided Hinduism into various parts and by course of time it's becoming more apart. If you go to any Sikh ceremony you will hear prays to Hindu Gods.
What I respect most about Hinduism is that it doesn't go out and about imposing itself on other peoples in other places.
Thank you for this beautiful video. I am a Hindu living in the US and wanted to teach my children more about our religion, and this will be very helpful.

@Lion Roar ohhh okay! so what is the standard practice/view with the deities?
I found this video to be truly helpful. The way you broke each element down so thoroughly made it very easy to follow and made each topic clear and concise. Even when other major religions attempt something such as this, there are very often parts where narrators say, "You just have to rely on faith." For many people answers such as that simply aren't acceptable. After having so many Hindu misconceptions cleard up, and as a struggling Christian that has been having difficulty with blindly following a faith out of fear. I find myself drawn to the teachings of Hinduism. Many of the Hindu teachings go along with what I feel in my heart, yet contradict my Christian upbringing. I plan on looking into Hinduism further. Thank You.
We in Hinduism donot believe in conversion.....you donot have to convert just learn, appreciate and be kind.

1) Believe in God ! - Aastik - Accepted
2) Don't believe in God ! - You're still accepted as Nastik and can be a very good Hindu....
3) You want to worship idols - please go ahead. You are a murti pujak(idol worship)
4) You dont want to worship idols- no problem u can focus on Nirguna Brahman.
5) You want to criticise something in our religion. Come forward. We are logical. Nyaya, Tarka etc are core Hindu schools
6) You want to accept beliefs as it is. Most welcome. Please go ahead with it.
7) You want to start your journey by reading "Bhagvad Gita"- Sure !
8) You want to start your journey by reading "Upanishads" - Go ahead
9) You want to start your journey by reading "Purana"- Be my guest.
10) You just don't like reading Puranas or other books. No problem my dear. Go by Bhakti(devotion) tradition.
11) You don't like idea of Bhakti(devotion) ! No problem. Do your Karma(moral duty) Be a karmayogi.
12) You want to enjoy life. Very good. No problem at all. This is Charvaka Philosophy.
13) You want to abstain from all the enjoyment of life & find God - let's go ! Be a Sadhu, an ascetic !
14) You don't like the concept of God. You believe in Nature only - Welcome. (Trees are our friends and Prakriti or nature is worthy of worship).
15) You believe in one God or Supreme Energy. Superb! Follow Advaita philosophy
16) You want a Guru. Go ahead. Receive gyaan(knowledge).
17) You don't want a Guru.. Help yourself ! Meditate, Study !
18) You believe in Female energy ! Shakti is worshipped.
19) You believe that every human being is equal. Yeah! You're awesome, come on let's celebrate Hinduism! "Vasudhaiva kutumbakam" (the world is a family)
20) You don't have time to celebrate the festival.
Don't worry. One more festival is coming! There are multiple festivals every single day of the year.
21) You are a working person. Don't have time for religion. Its okay. You will still be a Hindu.
22) You like to go to temples. Devotion is loved.
23) You don't like to go to temples - no problem. You are still a Hindu!
24) You know that Hinduism is a way of life, with considerable freedom.
25) You believe that everything has God in it. So you worship your mother, father, guru, tree, River, Prani-matra, Earth, Universe!
26) And If you don't believe that everything has GOD in it - No problems. Respect your viewpoint.

Hindu is not a religion. It is way of living. Ancient world lived in peace and prosperity. Why not today?.

🙏Truth is eternal. Hindus pursue knowledge and understanding of the Truth: the very essence of the universe and the only Reality. According to the Vedas, Truth is One, but the wise express it in a variety of ways.🙏

46:38 "Stoner Metal Deities" You got me. I'm sold.
Joking aside, thank you for this video. I've been enjoying learning about Hinduism. I decend from Scottish, Scandanavian, and Irish Celtic peoples, and I believe Hinduism is perhaps the closest living relative to the Druidism my ancestors once practiced.
The one thing that dissuades me from many faiths, however, is the worship aspect.
Wow this is so close to my way of seeing the world. I'm left hand path and it covers every thing I believe in a slightly different way. Thank you.
Why the devil's picture 🤦🏻♀️
Rish why not. And its not the devil. Dont be an ignorant.
Your words are very encourging! I too am left hand path and find hinduism to be very alike. Are you luciferian?
this is kind of confusing as the left hand path doesn't have the orthodoxy of say the Abrahamic religions now I call myself a Thiestic Satanist although some Satanists as I'm sure you already know say that's not "true" Satanism because it's an atheist religion focused on base instincts and self glorification... But I do believe in Lucifer honour him in every spell and ritual I do.
Also that is Baphomet worshiped by the Knights Templar and I like it for what the piece of art is. Night and day, male and female, beast and man, basically dualities brought together.

What’s so great about Hinduism?
@@ml1712 If you want to know why Hinduism is great, you have to read Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads.
Hinduism is the eternal truth
What about Jesus?
Don't mention it if you are a Christian because you believe Christ is the only way and therefore it would negate the beliefs of people who worship Devi
You can give a nod to Hinduism where after seeing picture of Goddess Kali this person starts halucinating with something similar. You can keep it as long as you acknowledge the source.
If you're using the imagery of Kali. Give proper acknowledgement that where you got the inspiration from for this character ( Hinduism).
Give proper acknowledgement and then it's morally, culturally right for one to use iconography of Kali.
Thank you for this info. Well presented and simple enough to gain a grasp of some basic concepts
So many superstitions are debunked if you get to know the actual concept of the Vedas.

*_Why I'm Hindu?_*
I'm a Hindu because it is one of most free religions of the world (I could say the only religion, a perspective) as it gives me the maximum freedom on almost everything.
A perspective with my little knowledge.
Much love ❤️

Thank you , my Indians teachers.
I am very much interested in Hinduism, do you have any tips where to start or which books to read?
Read Baghavat Gita, it's a great start, if you're interested in reading or book recommendations.
Then study and recognize different aspects of Hinduism, namely -
Monotheism
Monism
Polytheism
Polymorphic Monotheism
Henotheism
Pantheism
Panentheism
Animism
Agonism and Atheism (depending on which Philosophies of Hinduism).
And more.
Study the denominations/ Sampradhayas- Vaisnavism, Shaivism, Shaktism, Smartism, Sauram, Etc. And Understand different theological perspectives.
More i can list down (as simple as possible), unless if you wish to know more :)
Read The Complete works of Swami Vivekananda....
Read a good translation of Gita! If you are still inquisitive, read Vedanta and continue if you care! There is a whole library for you!
Hiduism is not a religion in the same sense as abrahamic religions are.
Thank you for this very enlightening lecture.
Very nice presentation. Thank you.
Its not God thats genuine, its the bhakti or devotion thats genuine. God is just human imagination.
It says wine is a mocker but Christians drink alcohol (and get drunk)
The Bible says that 'God made two great lights', the moon is NOT a light.
@@1JAMINben I don't know what u took from it but for me telling that I cannot believe in God and can still find god seems such accepting concept.. It gives me the freedom to question God and explore.. As if doesn't give me just one way but many ways and the feeling of freedom and acceptance is what attracts me and it goes with my set of values.. It gives us to explore our ways to find what we need in life
In Hinduism you can question anything without consequences. In fact Bhagwat gita is all questions doubting everything.
Theoretically yes, but looking how hinduists communities live, I wouldn't say they are much flexible in thoughts....
@@dominic6055 Todays ppl of hindu born themselves extremely detached from Authentic Sanatan wisdom & quite ignorance due to result of 1000yrs of foreign rule on their lands & it's influence on manipulating the native culture, societal minds, practices, banning many, almost tried detaching them from their own treasure of enlightening knowledge existing since ancient times with efforts & wisdom of many enlightened wise spiritual souls. Hinduism just extremely flexible actually, there r multiple concept & philosophies even contracting to each other yet in harmony exists within hinduism due to it being open to debates, challenges, learnings & evolution according to time, situation, conditions, Many Maha rishis, Sadhus, rishi munis, etc existed since ancient times from different school of thought or principles within it and They always been done un-biased, learning attitude debates with each other to be on path or journey of learning the ultimate knowledge in the way, as result emerged everything very overwhelmingly diverse, pluralistic, complex within hinduism yet in acceptance & harmony with each other eventually

@@zainabfarhat2723 hello katmulla
I love the mantra music from Ganesha it is very relaxing.
Nice, calm voice and clear and informative video
I wish the video focussed more on what Hinduism is as opposed to all this commentary around the globe on what Hinduism is/should be.
I am proud of hinduism
Just some of the problems I have (a former Hindu) with Hinduism:.
1. In reading the Vedas they don't mention later gods such as Shiva, Ganesh etc..why not?
2. Many gods were obviously myths, Shiva, Ganesh Hanuman..no such thing as anthropomorphic "gods"
