I was so very sad to learn, today, of Jeanne's passing. She was so loved and so cherished by her fans, and she will be sorely missed. I had to listen to my favorite Jeanne Robertson story, The Great Marmot Standoff, so I would laugh rather than cry. Rest in Peace, Jeanne.
She left a huge supply of videos for us to remember her. I believe her husband, left brain, died prior to her. Beaver must miss his parents terribly. I miss them and never met them.
I just found her. I haven't even seen all of her videos. God bless you both, Jeannie and LB. I will be there sooner than later. I'm 71 and in ill health married to another LB for over 40 years.

God has given her a beautiful talent and she uses it well! Thanks Miss Jeanne you are appreciated and loved. You're a national treasure! Stay safe. 🌈🌈🌈

Sadly she passed away a few days ago. Ever the pro she was. She had rescheduled many events for next year a couple days . What a wonderful lady the world is saddened.

My niece Autumn told me about Jeanne, she said that she reminds her of my late mother, her Grandma. I'll pull her up on my phone when I need a good laugh. Thank you Jeanne for making us laugh and inspiring us to find the humor in our everyday life. God bless you!
I.Am.Dead! This is the most hilarious woman I have ever seen! God bless Jeanne Robertson. She is truly a model of fun, clean jokes. She doesn't need to be a potty mouth, to make you laugh.
Jeanne lives only a few miles from me in NC and we are so proud of her representing educated Southern women. Her column appears in our local newspaper and is hysterical! Love you Jeanne!
Oh my goodness! You are so great! Your story so reminded me of a situation I found myself in some 25 years ago. I was working with the Royal Air Force in Norfolk, England as a temporary military student, and at the end of one hot summers day, I drove out to the beach to cool off before going back to my digs for dinner. On the way, I stopped into a little holiday shop for an ice cream........and there she was! A stuffed, blue-eyed, life sized, white fluffy Persian cat.........she was too expensive but I had to have her. In my mind I called her Portia and I left the shop with Portia under my arm, licking my ice cream, happy as Larry. I opened my car door and put Portia on a comfy cushion on the front seat, locked the car up and went for my walk on the beach as planned. When I eventually came back, shoes swinging in hand, I saw lots of people standing around my car, and most of them were very angry. One older lady had a pointed stiletto shoe in her hand and was trying to break the glass of my windscreen with the heel. She’d borrowed the shoe from some other irate lady. Before I stepped forward I had ascertained that they were all incredibly angry that someone had left a live animal in a car without any water or indeed a window open for air, as it was so hot! I laughed to my self and thought that they too would find it funny when I explained.......but after several attempts no one listened to me! They shouted and gossiped enough to raise the dead, so in the end I grabbed the shoe out of the older woman’s hand and told her I’d prosecute her if she damaged my property.......whereupon she threatened me with prosecution for cruelty to animals! I pushed everyone aside, unlocked the door.......and at that point the police turned up in their car. ‘Now madam, what’s been going on here?’ He asked me......me! Well, I didn’t know! But the older woman butted in and told her story of passing by my car and noticing this poor cat sitting in such heat, and she couldn’t get into the vehicle to release it from its purgatory! So as she was ranting and raving for help, she was offered a shoe and was in the process of releasing the poor thing, plus lots of chat about how cruel I was, and how stressed the poor cat was because it wasn’t moving a muscle and it’s eyes were glazed! The policeman was joined by his policewoman partner, who I think had twigged what the situation was by then, and she asked me to open the car and check the cat. I said for the umpteenth time.......it’s NOT a cat, it’s a cuddly toy!! I opened the car door and pulled the cat out by its tail and waved it upside down to prove my point........both police collapsed into laughter, most of the busybodies melted away as quickly as they’d arrived..........but the older lady took at least 15 minutes to accept that she was wrong! She was a broken woman who’d had her rescue moment taken away from her. I’d have felt sorry for her if she wasn’t so damn rude! Needless to say, for the next 8 weeks I was at the RAF station, I didn’t go back down there again. I’ve still got Portia, by the way, and she’s sat on my bedroom chair ever since she came home with me. Funny how life’s little jokes stay with you, isn’t it?
Bless their sweet, compassionate hearts, this is hilarious! I had forgotten all about those cats. They truly looked like the real deal! We all had great fun pretending to stroke our beautiful and beloved kitty, then hurl it across the room at an unsuspecting guest, or swing it by the tail above our heads to achieve the same effect. The point is, I can well imagine that poor woman's chagrin. She's already envisioned her picture in the newspaper as a valiant savior of some cruel, thoughtless cat-owner's pet. It takes a long time to dismantle fantasies of that magnitude. Thanks so much for sharing this...I wonder if they stopped making them for just this reason?!! :- )
One of the things I especially listen for in stand up comedy is voice inflections. The way Jeanne says: "...get on an elevator!" really cracks me up every time!

Interesting… my family came to Spokane Washington from Tennessee in the 1890s. What you call a “Dirt Dobber” they called a “Mud Dobber”…. I love your shows, they make me think of my family.
I saw a marmot in Glacier National Park. It was a cute little brown animal, like a prairie dog, and it made a sweet, sharp whistle which people thought was a bird whistling, until someone explained it to them. It lives among broken rocks.
@@barbaraunderwood5409 you're right ! but while they rarely swim or climb trees they hav the ability and are capable swimmers .. they are mostly related to squirrels .. but I dont understand why the marmots of australia and BC are so much cuter ..

My Grandma Ethel had over 200 collections. It wasn't her fault. She came from a large family and married into an equally large family. Her collections started with her telling some family member that she did not have a salt and pepper shaker. Her first collection started... any time she mentioned a need (I lost my thimble...) originally expressed an appreciation for... (what a pretty doll) and another collection started. Once one grandchild misunderstood and thought our grandma loved pictures of lighthouses when it was pictures of covered bridges she actually liked. She kept every calendar ever sent her of those. The lighthouse picture on the throw she just said,"Oh No, not another collection...!" Almost every collection was valuable though...
Many years ago I was attending a convention, one of the attendees I didn't know brought a stuffed coyote with him, he normally kept it in his pickup in the daytime, but moved it to his room at night to keep it from being stolen. One afternoon I come back to the hotel and everyone was talking about the housekeeper who ran screaming down the hall, apparently the guy forgot to put it in his pickup that day, the lady saw it and thought it was alive! We all got a good laugh out of that....LOL
I have heard this before and I thought then I have never seen anything that is a beaver in a gift store. Several years later I am listening to it again and I think STILL I have never seen a beaver anything in a gift shop or store!😃😂
You have captured my humor bone.........(if there is such a thing) and I am addicted to UTube and your stories. I 💕 love your humor and your Southern accent and your style and great looks. Oh, yes; I’m from Atlanta!
Jeanne, you are so amazing. Please keep sharing your videos. They literally made me laugh through labor pains in the hospital. It was better medicine than any epidural, lol!
Being the Mayor of Beaverton I had a large collection of my favorite animal, the Beaver. It is a large, smart, important, ecologically important to the environment, animal. OMSI, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, borrowed my collection when they did a program about Beavers. I picked up the " Beaver" at the airport to bring to the museum as part of their program. I have everything from a chain saw carved beaver to a small crystal beaver not to mention Canadian coins with beavers on them. I have always wanted a beaver pelt from one as they are perfectly round with nice fur. That may seem like a sad edition to my collection but I don't have one. It would also be nice to have an original top hat made from one. Their for was an important part of the old west, trapped by mountain men and Indians. Now they are important to the environment in places where control of water is important. Some residents of my city didn't want them removed from their adjacent creek even if they cut down their trees. I came to love them and use them in my welcoming speeches to newcomers and conventioneers. My daughter is a Beaver graduated from Oregon State University and my son is a Duck graduated from the University of Oregon. I just yell for whoever has the ball. Mayor Larry Cole
Years ago I was using an aloe leaf to treat my sunburn and I left the big green leaf on the kitchen table. My dad came in and thought it was an iguana getting comfortable in the house!! :D
This is one of her best. Had me in stitches. I had never heard of a marmot either. But that stuff about Barney had me going. I think everyone should hear this one!

Interesting… my family came to Spokane Washington from Tennessee in the 1890s. What you call a “Dirt Dobber” they called a
“Mud Dobber”….
I love your shows, they make me think of my family.
O man, I love Jeanne! She entertains without the filth! Wonderful stories. I think I have watched all of her stuff now.
I saw a marmot in Glacier National Park. It was a cute little brown animal, like a prairie dog, and it made a sweet, sharp whistle which people thought was a bird whistling, until someone explained it to them. It lives among broken rocks.
Just discovered this fabulous lady great material and hope to see more of her comedy's Ty❤️🎤😄⛵🏖️🌞
I just love you Jeannie such funny stories I listen over and over thank you
who else is watching this 2020 .. but ms robertson .. Marmots are not nasty .. they are Adorable .. !!
Actually marmots are not water animals. They live in northern rocky climates. In the Midwest they are called groundhogs or woodchucks.
@@barbaraunderwood5409 you're right ! but while they rarely swim or climb trees they hav the ability and are capable swimmers .. they are mostly related to squirrels .. but I dont understand why the marmots of australia and BC are so much cuter ..
Miss this talented storyteller! Good clean fun for all!
I am from Spokane Washington and I now live in New Orleans, was super homesick today and watched this video..made me laugh and cured my homesickness!! By the way not only do we have Marmots, there’s another creature called a Rock Chuck...you should use it

Hi
I just left a Jim Gaffigan video to watch Jeanne. I skipped over Jim to watch this. I can't get enough of this lady!
Jeanne, whenever I am feeling down I watch your videos. Thanks for making me smile. 😊
The lighthouse picture on the throw she just said,"Oh No, not another collection...!" Almost every collection was valuable though...
...But the most valuable collection your grandma had was all the people who loved her!
Miss this wonderful lady
I am from Compton, California and I approve of Jeanne Robertson. Wbat a GREAT storyteller!

Hi
I loves me some Red Ryder and Little Beaver ! Was watching an old serial/chapter play with them in it last week.
OMG LMAO. Never heard of this lady, but, wow, so funny. I am binge watching all episodes. Absolutely great.
I have heard this before and I thought then I have never seen anything that is a beaver in a gift store. Several years later I am listening to it again and I think STILL I have never seen a beaver anything in a gift shop or store!😃😂
I've been known to set up most of the night watching this lady. I just love her. She is great at what she does. So funny.
You have captured my humor bone.........(if there is such a thing) and I am addicted to UTube and your stories. I 💕 love your humor and your Southern accent and your style and great looks. Oh, yes; I’m from Atlanta!

Hi
One of my favorites!! Love, love this lady! 🙂😂
Jeanne, you are so amazing. Please keep sharing your videos. They literally made me laugh through labor pains in the hospital. It was better medicine than any epidural, lol!
Jeannie I am going to have to get a box if tissue when I see you in Missouri....I laugh until I cry
Larry Cole I have a pelt if you really want one. 🙂
Love Jeanne’s stories!!
Years ago I was using an aloe leaf to treat my sunburn and I left the big green leaf on the kitchen table. My dad came in and thought it was an iguana getting comfortable in the house!! :D
I read some comments on your video. I agree this is a good way to get out of a bad mood. Thanks Jeanne.
Hello
Love from Alberta 🇨🇦🇨🇦
I love this so much, so much like listening to my lovely mother inlaw.
Always very entertaining
The best as always.
This is one of her best. Had me in stitches. I had never heard of a marmot either. But that stuff about Barney had me going. I think everyone should hear this one!
She is the funniest person so delightful to listen to
Hello
I just heard that there was so much concern about the Marmot population on Mt Glacier that USGS did not put Siesmographs on the side of the mountain. Jeanie I just had to tell you. I LOVE listening to your videos. This one came immediately to mind. I hope that this time a fan gave you a smile for a change.
Happy New Year from the shores of Long Island, NY. Thank you for bringing Joy into my life.
My first name may look Suthern but I am named for Mt Errigale in Co. Donegal, ireland. Her heart still in Georgia my Mom added the J to give me a typical Suthern name.
You brighten my life so much! Thank you!
