Thanks David. I looked for a long time trying to make up my mind between F-Mount and Z-Mount. This was the best way to go the F-mount will be more versatile on the different camera bodies.
One of the reason I got the 70-200 was for some intimate wildlife photography. If and when I travel to Florida to some of the wetlands for Bird Photography I understand that some of the birds are so closed that a long telephoto zoom or 500 prime is too much lens
I am all jealous, that lens is a very nice piece of glass indeed. Looking forward too your first impressions. I am using a Tamron 70 - 200 on my Nikon D850 and am quite happy with it. Next on my list is a Nikon 20mm 1.8 to replace a Sigma 24-35 Art lens. Reason being the weight of the Sigma. Carl 🇦🇺
Hi Carl, I am actually taking it with me this week to the Smokies to see what I can capture with it. I will probably do a review type video while out in the field. Stayed Tuned.
You caught me off guard with this one... I read thru the title without paying close attention to the designation letters and assumed this would be the Z mount version. Can you let us know how this lens works out, especially using with the Z50 or Z8?
I will surely do some video on the testing of this lens. I am going to the Smokies next week for some Landscape Photography which I do every year. I will put it to the test then.
Interesting video Ron & thanks for sharing...I too have a D500 & D7100 but not that lens only a 70-300mm Nikon lens.... cheers from Australia 🦘🦘😊
Thanks Robert. I love the D7100. It is so much fun to use.
Good morning Ron, I love how you are so excited about getting a box! It's like Christmas in October...😂
Morning! Thanks Pam
I have for a long time a Nikon 70/200 2.8 ED VR . I took along the time outstanding great slides for my image bank. Superb Nikon stuff.
Great to hear! I have always been a Nikon customer
Looking forward to seeing the shots you come back with from your trip.
You and me both!
Well done on a stellar lens. I remember when it was the holy grail of the trinity and that wasn’t that long ago.

Great lens! I'm sure you will love it and, at 2.8 it's a great option for sports and portraits.
Hope so!
Nice purchase Ron....I have the Tamron 70-200 G2 for my D500 and D7100. I use that lens alot for Eagle releases along with the 500 PF

Nice lens, Ron!
Thanks Rodney. Can't wait to give a whirl.

I could only afford as used 70-200mm f2.8 VRii
I look at used f/2.8e FL's and they wanted $1400 at MPB. This FL is pricer than the VRii version
