I once saw someone describe Code Parfum as a rainy night in Tokyo. Such a beautiful iris fragrance and somehow gives a sort of sparkling vibe. I don’t know how something can smell like that, but it does. Great scent.
Code parfum is just boring powder to me. Extremely versatile but personality less to me. If I want powder, I got versace dreamer and burberry brit for that. Problem is, I never reach for them over all my other colognes.
Try Paris Corner Cherry Cola . Very close just a little sweeter and more cherry. As with most clones though, the difference is the opening and to the nose. Once it dries down and someone smells it in the air ……then it’s really close
YSL L’homme EDP has the worst performance of my ~100 frag collection. Even with over-spraying it literally lasts for about 1 hour at best and then becomes a barely noticeable skin scent. Save you $$.

I have only smelled Code Parfum, none of the originals, and it smells nice and fresh but it reminds me of a shaving cream from 20-30 years ago.
