Omgoodness I'm so happy I found your channel!!! My grandma's chili recipe is almost the same except she puts a diced green pepper in it when she does the meat and onion.... and adds 2 TBS. of both white vinegar and sugar to it....you should try it. Its delish....and I made it tonight!!!!
Hi Leanne, I'm sorry you cant find that. Maybe you could look on pinterest how to make your own homemade dry ranch. I think mozzarella would work good too. 😊
I live in the suburbs of philly and my family never puts peppers on our cheesesteaks. We make them with fried onions, mayo on the roll and American cheese and lightly toast the steak in the roll, hubby used to work at a pizza shop when he was younger and that’s how they would make theirs! You’ll have to try it some time, very yummy!
Hey LaTasha, thank you so much for subscribing 😁 here is the recipe: Cornbread Recipe: 1 cup Flour 1 cup cornmeal 1 tsp salt 1/4 cup sugar 4 tsp baking powder 2 eggs 1 cup milk 1/2 stick butter Directions: Preheat oven to 400 and add 1/2 stick butter to pan and melt. Coat the pan with butter and pour the leftover butter into batter and mix well. Pour the batter into pan and bake in oven 20-25 minutes.
If your kids like Big Macs from McDonalds try the Big Mac Sloppy Joe's. It is really good too. I make a Philly Cheesesteak Casserole that only takes a lb of steak for a 9x13 pan. It is fairly easy. It takes a little prep but not much. Dinner can be done in about 40 minutes. The good thing about it is you can put it together early in the day if you have 15 or 20 minutes. Then bake it right before supper. PHILLY CHEESESTEAK CASSEROLE 1 loaf of cubed French or italian bread 1 lb thinly sliced sirloinsteak or any thinly sliced steak that you have 2 sliced onions 1 to 2 sliced bell peppers 8 oz sliced mushrooms 1 to 2 Tbsp oil 4 Tbsp butter 1/4 cup flour Salt and pepper to taste 3 cups milk 2 to 3 cups of shredded italian cheese Place the cubed bread into a greased 9x13 casserole dish. In 1 Tbsp of oil cook your vegetables 5 minutes. Spread out over the bread. Now thinly slice the steak and cook it for only 3 to 5 minutes. It's okay if it's not fully cooked. It will cook more when it bakes. Spread it out on top the rest of the stuff in the casserole. You may need more oil when you brown the steak but sometime you have enough left from the vegetables. Now in that same skillet add the butter . Once melted stir in flour, salt and pepper. Cook 2 to 3 minutes. Pour in milk. Whisk several minutes until it thickens. Turn off stove and stir in cheese. Once it melts pour over the casserole. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Or til hot and bubbly. The last minute or 2 I like to slightly brown the top of the cheese. I serve this usually with a salad. This is one of our favorite meals.
I also use great value ketchup. I use there ranch when I dont make my own too. My mayo has to be Hillman s though lol I see a lot say dukes but im in indiana and I dont know if we have that I looked a few times.
I tried the Philly sloppy joes last night had seen them on Merinas channel too and omggggg.. I did them a little different - crock potted, and used American and cheese whiz 💁🏻♀️ it’s the secret Philly ingredient at a restaurant near me. But seriously, we did not shut up for hours after about how good this turned out 😂😋🤤
Hi Kim. I really enjoyed this video. I’m going to try that Italian chicken soup. It looked like a really good lasagna. Your kids are all so good looking !🥰 I’m so happy to be part of your “farmhouse fam” 😅
Hey LaVerne 😊😊😊 that soup is really good, you should try it. Thank you so much for your sweet comments. You are always so nice 😊 I'm glad you're apart of the "farmhouse fam" lol I hope you have a wonderful weekend 😊❤
everything sounds delicious. Your kids are so cute! I like the idea of those little meatloaf cups. I’m not a big soup eater but that soup sounds really yummy. I’ll have to give it a try. I’m glad you’re feeling better.
with the philly sloppy joes, i originally thought you were just gonna scoop them right out of the pot without mixing the cheese haha. it would’ve worked probably (:
You said you hated to do dishes....you have children they are amazing dishwashers. I sure missed mine when they grew up and I again had to do my own cleanup. They all knew how to work and did very well with their lives. My eldest is 62 so am speaking from experience.
For the sloppy joes, try it again but use white American instead of the provolone. Provolone is too strongly when it melts. It doesn’t get all creamy like white American. Use the provolone on your bun, white American in the sloppy joe pan. :)
Kim's Farmhouse Life my phone autocorrected stringy to strongly. Lol. Sorry about that. Provolone is too stringy when it melts. The white American melts just like velveeta and makes the sloppy joes all cheesy & delicious. I make a version of these all the time that I made up myself. I use white American in the meat then put provolone on the buns just before serving. :)
Hey girly here from fearfully created 😊what a fun idea you got to pick what she cooks. You both are so good in the kitchen. The chili looks delicious 😋

We always have mashed potatoes and corn with meatloaf! Just doesn’t seem like meatloaf without those two on the side. Everything looks delicious. Definitely going to try that soup. Thanks for another great video.
Kim, here’s some info for you. I was just browsing through Pinterest and I saw the Philly Cheesesteak on Sloppy Joes and their cheese (provolone) was not totally melted either. I think a great and easy way to do it would be shred the provolone and spread it over the really hot steak mixture. Then the cheese just melts down over the meat. Some will melt all the way and some won’t. In the photo in Pinterest all the cheese did not melt. Looked really good as did yours. Hope this makes you feel better. Love ya lady bug!
I enjoy your grocery hauls but I really wish you would do more aldi hauls. We shop Aldi first then whatever we can't get then we go to walmart. We have done research and have found item for item Aldi is cheaper. Just something to think about 😀
