I really like that this channel is dedicated to a 20yr old game that I thought everyone had (unfortunately) forgotten about. Glad to see a childhood favorite get the attention it still deserves.
It's not a glitch. It is written into the game files. I mod zoo tycoon and have seen the penguins prey list. I even made it so warthogs hunt Dinosaurs and named a single boar MR.PIG! AUGHHHHHH!!!
Does the OG zoo tycoon trike (the big one) have the ability to win any fights if lets say a rex attacks? I’m also curious if the original trike and the DD trike can live together

I once had a killer penguin in Zoo Tycoon 2 and was very confused why anybody would create that! Now I know, thanks!
I love how they referenced the ridiculously predatory penguins from ZT1 with the killer penguin from ZT2, I get them any time I can

As a kid i had the theory that they copied the lion's prey list by accident or something but penguins can eat hippos while lions can't

I don’t think the Killer Penguin was actually adoptable in Zoo Tycoon 2 - you would only get it via luck when messing up with the Dino Research Lab

I think you can get them to dance if they kill something, then they fall over. It’s pretty weird.

I bet it's because diet; if they eat fish, they count as carnivores. Not sure if this also counts for pinnipeds.
