Honestly, I feel bad for Yogi because she kept forcing him to remember her date even though “no” doesn’t mean “try harder” (in the movie “Hey There It’s Yogi Bear” (which I like, btw, at least for Hanna-Barbera standards), she’s just lucky Yogi finally said yes and… we’re lucky she didn’t scream for help that Yogi was trying to sexually assault her). Say what you want about the 2010 Yogi Bear movie (I think it’s good not by general standards, but by live-action remake standards so it’s average), but I think I can see why Cindy Bear wasn’t in this movie because she would be considered too stereotypically feminine by 2010s standards.

Cindy's in heat. Also, I remember originally hearing that splash sound effect (near the end of this video) in "The Greatest Adventure: Stories From the Bible" (another Hanna-Barbera cartoon). It was the "Daniel and the Lion's Den" episode, when the three heroes escape the guards and land into the pool together.
The song was initially previewed (in black and white) on H-B's syndicated special "Here Comes A Star", in December 1963 [promoting "THE MAGILLA GORILLA SHOW", which debuted in January 1964].
Cindy sure is a beautiful bear and she has a lovey voice. I remember I saw this 1964 film when I was a tween and it was shown on an Irish-language television station TG4 (formerly known as TnaG) in 2002 but it was shown in English as its original language instead of Irish Gaeilge. I thought I never saw this before and it seems to be very enjoyable.

It might still be considerably less than Disney or Warner Bros but it’s still weird seeing Hanna Barbera characters of this era moving this much and smoothly.
Yeah, they're almost back to their later-Tom and Jerry era of fluidity here. Shame they didn't get that budget back more often in the 60s. Fun fact: They also spruced up Cindy's design for this movie specifically. Before this she was just a blue Yogi in a dress.
I just googled it and wow you weren’t kidding. I guess I must not have seen any of the shorts that went that far back. It’s always interesting when it takes them a second try to create make the definite design.
1:49 NO TAIL! 1:53 Keep in mind she is still a bear. 2:44 Classic Umbrella-Parachute tropes. 3:41 You protect the cake but you didn't protect the part. Yogi is too well-mannered to get a romantic relationship.
@btamamura I am sorry to heard that. When I was a kid, I wanted to mimic the "Mickey flossing Pluto" scene with a neighbor dog from a family that just move in. Then, I got bitten and I developed a phobia on dogs. Television has a bad influence to youth.
Cute watching the sparks fly between Yogi and Cindy and the other forest animals :-) Forget the new Yogi Bear movie, why isn't this on Boomerang? If not Boomerang, how about Turner Classic Movies? They're already showing some of the Disney classics.
@@Soulbone3 I get what you mean, but it’s the difference between saying ”most people aren’t redheads” or ”red hair is rare” and saying ”it’s a FACT that NO ONE has red hair”. Doesn’t matter if the main characters aren’t redheads, the statement is just wrong. Keep in mind, I don’t take this super seriously. Just thought it would be funny to point out as someone with a Snagglepuss profile, a fellow Hanna Barbera character who people made fun of for ”acting gay” and was later confirmed to be. It’s just a joke. Edit: The picture being from Laff-A-Lympics, where Snags was a reporter, I think adds to it.
When Cindy Bear made her first appearance as a cartoon character on the YOGI BEAR SHOW in the early 1960's, she looked entirely different from the one we all know. She was violet blue and a had an ugly face. However, when this cartoon movie came to theaters she made a beautiful and sexy transition.
Does she ever appear again after this film (not including the reboot/reimagining jellystone)? I recall the sequel was the one where Yogi ended up having to take care of three kids. Only one actually resembled Cindy, and there adventure was basically a long travel including a network of kid's helping out, and running into many other hannah-barbara characters. Also being mistaken for look-a-like outlaws. Plus a Yosemite Sam like char with a dog "yapper" to catch them. Funny how fans didn't really seem to warm up to Cindy at the time, then complained how she was erased/not in the follow-up.

Why am I watching this at 12 am
Same its 1 am in california for me
Omg same
I’m watching this on January 1, at 4 am.
Me too
And it 2 am now🙀

Man....thanks for posting this! I always randomly sing snippets of this song from my childhood and been craving to hear it in it’s entirety! Love it! And yes her voice is beautiful!
" I like to be aggressive, but I just don't know how. " -- before reminding Yogi and the Audience that she is indeed a bear
Cindy sure can sing!
For 1:18, these are your options, Cindy:
_ press the "Berserk" button
_ press the "Dank Skeets" button
_ call in the Country Bears to beat up Yogi (or the other way around)
_ (feel free to add more options)
“Like I want you to jump on me”? Wow. Very sophisticated for the time to say the least.
@btamamura Nah, I really think it's "on".
@@marinazuniga2418 it's for
love her voice
Julie Bennet had such a pretty voice RIP
Cindy's back in Jellystone, the new series on HBO Max!
"Lets just wait until Yogi gets a picnic basket, OK he's got one"
Mr. and Mrs. Yogi Bear got their own place with a cute mailbox. Love that movie.
She sings like a disney princess
You're Right, Her Singing does Remind me of Cinderella's Singing.🤔
@faithmiller3796Actually, They're Both Great Singers.
@faithmiller3796 Really.
@faithmiller3796 You're Welcome.
Ariel, Cinderella and Cindy Bear are all Great Singers, If You Know what I mean, Right?
this used to be my favourite movie as a kid and it came out almost 40 years before i was born, im actually an old head 😂😂
"Call me irresponsible. Call me unreliable. Throw in undependable, too." H Mancini
you can say that again. and they animated her so well too.
Listen son. The guy's obviously more in love with his food, like many other people on this planet!
Nice song though!
He loves Cindy. He needs for strength. If you what I mean.
Fun fact about bears: they have stubby tails. The bears in the Yogi Bear universe have no visible tails.
Jimmy Campbell probably to make the animation process easier
Actually the large majority of fictional bears don't have one.
The recently late James Darren [ died in Sept. 2024] did the singing voice of Yogi in this film. But not in this song of course
My alltime favorite HB character. Thanks, princessluchia2006. Today is my 67th birthday. Proud to say I still do Yogi Bear 100% Daws Butler. Ehhhhhh, Huck not so much :-)) I own the DVD, thank our Lord. I've had it since it was first released and I'm delighted to find this clip on UA-cam Thank you, again.
I miss good cartoons 💟
3:18 Yogi's face at that moment lol "God get me out of this crazy lady's fantasy!"
Doesn’t sound like something a gaslighting, misogynistic incel would say. Sounds like something a justified anti-sumo would say. :)
Cindy Bear is so cute
1:10 just a lil timestamp for me
It might still be considerably less than Disney or Warner Bros but it’s still weird seeing Hanna Barbera characters of this era moving this much and smoothly.
@@PaceFilmsProductions I think this was also when they figured out Ranger Smith's consistent design.
@@ToonReel001 oh yeah I remember she was blue and had a yellow hat with a flower on it
This has Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy Rose vibes
BRO, FR 😆😆😆😆
Cindy Bear is so beautiful and cute! 🥰
memories... *sniff*
1:49 NO TAIL!
1:53 Keep in mind she is still a bear.
2:44 Classic Umbrella-Parachute tropes.
3:41 You protect the cake but you didn't protect the part.
Yogi is too well-mannered to get a romantic relationship.
Well-mannered, you’re joking right
@@ansumanahargett6227 It's an Hannah Barbara cartoon. He is a bear with clothes and comical dialogue. Dress for the food!
@@zigaudrey No duh, “it took some of you people, to figure out.”
@btamamura I am sorry to heard that. When I was a kid, I wanted to mimic the "Mickey flossing Pluto" scene with a neighbor dog from a family that just move in. Then, I got bitten and I developed a phobia on dogs.
Television has a bad influence to youth.
I'd love to hear this in the new jellystone cuz omg it's so good. Maybe with different characters tho
@Vixen Wow, good for you
never saw this movie before, but now I've got to check it out.
A flower smelling delicious at the beginning? Wow.😁
them in jellystone show : friends
then in yogi bear show: LETS DO WHAT LOVERS DO~
Cute watching the sparks fly between Yogi and Cindy and the other forest animals :-)
Forget the new Yogi Bear movie, why isn't this on Boomerang? If not Boomerang, how about Turner Classic Movies? They're already showing some of the Disney classics.
Remember when Yogi was relevant to the Cartoon Network and his movie aired on the channel as well as Disney Channel? Pepridge Farm remembers.
Actually I think this was on Turner Classic Movies once, I could be wrong, it may have been another old (non disney) animated film...
@@vannestekaren1 wow
1:10 What if Cindy Bear in Jellystone Sing This in a later episode?
This is GNR, Galaxy News Radio, bringing you some love to the Wasteland.
RIP Julie Bennett (voiice of Cindy)
That’s voice
I remember watching this on my cassette player back in the days
Who remembers those days?
👍
Yogi was such the anti simp
@@monobeardesbearer9069 No joke
”There’s one delicious fact
That hes and shes attract
No matter who they may be”
Got some news for you, Cindy...
What do you mean
I mean...they tend to by default, but you could read he's and she's in the broad sense of to eachother or to themselves
@r33mote yeah what
@@Soulbone3 I get what you mean, but it’s the difference between saying ”most people aren’t redheads” or ”red hair is rare” and saying ”it’s a FACT that NO ONE has red hair”.
"For a she-bear, she can sing. Why don’t those circus guys use her amazing voice, to make money.” 🤑 💴 💰
The lady was talented what a great voice!
I am in ❤️.. she is so cute! 🐻
Saw this movie today for the first time and i really enjoyed it.
Shes not ugly, I think she looks kinda cute :3
@@fyunkyflamingo651 she is.
Her face was basically 'girl Yogi'. He might take offence to that 'ugly' remark. :P
@@ToonReel001 yep
Yes she did
whaddayaknow, a talking pic-a-nic basket!
Mannn it took today for me to see this and understand what was going on!!! 🤣 she was in heat ready to go.
Rest In Peace Cindy!
CHILDREN TODAY OUGHT TO LOOK AT 1960's HANNA-BARBERA ACTION & COMEDY CARTOONS IT'S 1,100 TIMES BETTER THAN THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS.
Very suggestive. And Yogi is getting cold feet, too! 😳
Hanna - Barbara missed their chance for another wedding movie. They could have followed up " I yabba-daba-doo" with Yogi and Cindy tying the knot.
...
Isn't that Fred Flintstone's catchphrase?
+K Universe That was the movie when Pebbles and Bam Bam got married.
The old times
this is classy!
Sweet memories
Yogi and Cindy are a very underrated couple ❤
