Good reminders so easy to get carried away when we don't see snow often. I know you said about exposure but I thought it worth mentioning use your histogram & shoot as far to right as possible without blowing highlights so it isn't grey which the camera will see snow. I live in Andover & often pass the forest but never photographic it as I don't know where to go. Maybe a video showing your favourite places such as the trees with locations to help us go & start in the New Forset.
Quite right about the histogram. I’ve covered that in some previous videos but maybe worth doing as a separate video some time. Thanks for the suggestion about locations. I may do another one about how to find locations rather than sending people to my ones. Quite a number have been identified in individual videos. Sometimes I deliberately keep the location to myself for various reasons.
Your dedication to getting the shot shines through here, beautiful shots, a very worthy shoot in terrible conditions, if only you could have hyperdrived there and back. Thank you for sharing.
Cheers Nigel, this is Sean in Atlanta! I know you are not feeling well, but if you missed going out on this particular day, you would have regretted it for the rest of your life! Those images are stunning and that snowfall was perfection! Thank you for such an amazing video and such stunning images! Sean
