Vincent Price is such a wonderful actor and person. He once flew from his home in L.A. to London to appear on a talk show where his friend Christopher Lee was surprised for his birthday. Lee later said, "I don't even have family who would travel from another city to visit me."
This movie is so much greater then the remake. I though the house was really haunted, but I was wrong and not at all upset because when you have an actor like Vincent Price you got a true classic.
I hated the remake- too gory, not well acted and full of strong language. This version is an absolute classic and having Vincent Price in it makes it all the better- a true horror legend
If you think about it, the house could be haunted cause in a way it drove people to commit seven murders all in horrifying ways and the same happened at the end. Maybe the house is evil and attracts evil people to come and do evil things.
Great colorizing on this one. This is another great Vinny Price flick, I saw at theater. Man did it ever excite, and scare my brother and me back then. As do all his movies, still today. 👍👍& 10⭐

The giants of Horror.... Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, John Carradine, Bela Lagosi, Boris Karloff... and Price... Whose voice and mustache sells the movies he stars in!

Growing up this was always good for the late night horror shows. I always enjoyed watching Vincent Price. I also enjoyed listening to his old time radio show The Saint.
I have always loved this movie. Every time I've seen it, I would watch it again. I finally bought the DVD of it so I can watch it anytime I want. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Helen hope you had a happy Sunday I guess it's Monday where You are so I will also say good day. Yeah House on haunted Hill is a good movie I've seen it a lot of times I've never seen it colorized I will watch it definitely. The bat with Vincent Price is really good too. Today Monday which will be tomorrow for us we go to our producer a new producer we are with a new producer now we still have the other one. We are in Boerne Texas tomorrow. We are producing a romantic pop song title if. I got church lol always walks up to me and says you're the man with the golden voice he says to me today I heard your golden voice today he's funny but he really likes my singing voice he told me today with your voice and Tom's songwriting my friend Tom and my songwriting too is that you guys are going to go far in the music industry. But it's good to hear that you're sounding professional it's taking a lot of practice to reach this point I practice like 3 hours a day most everyday sometimes 2 hours 2 and 1/2 like my brother told me keep practicing Wayne practice makes perfect that's so true and our practicing now has brought us to the place now where we're starting to sound perfect singing and everything. So anyway I just give God the glory and praise it's all about God. It's all about the Lord Jesus Christ.
This house--the Ennis House--sits up in the hills of the Los Feliz area of Hollywood. When they shot the arrival scene they to do it very tight because the actual street is so narrow, maybe about 12 feet wide. If two cars meet up there one of them has to back into a driveway to let the other pass--if they can find a driveway. I lived on such a street in my youth in the Mt.Washington area of Los Angeles and let me assure you it was no picnic to try to get around cars on a street like that.
Bit sad I won't be able to make it to the live upload of this fantastic film and chat with all you guys and gals. Still it's nice to know where I see the film again when it's more convenient. Take Care ✌️ everybody 👋
I remember how much this movie frightened me as a little kid. Many years later I found out this movie was filmed near where the LaBianca murders took place.
"Who knows? You might want to use the gun on me before the night's over." I can actually picture my father having said that to one of his X girlfriends in his younger days. 10/10 Horror!
This movie literally scared me more than any other. I watched this movie House On Haunted Hill and had a night terror later on so bad my doctor told my family let me stay home from school the next day. The movie that scared me almost as much was another Vincent Price outing called "The Tingler". I look at the movie now and laugh that I was once that innocent. The remake is garbage compared to this. Vincent Price owned this role and was among the nicest people on Earth! A real class act.

That was the good part of how the road and you didn't know how much of the story was just the murder mystery or how much of it was actually Supernatural.😮
