Pretty sweet little handsaw! Awesome technique on the skew cut with the plane. The micro plane is legit!! Love it!! The green tape is such a great technique for glue ups. Definitely a lesson for me. Clamps are not always necessary. Also really liked seeing you use the sandpaper to square up the base. Very cool tip on using wax on the screws. I never think of that, lol. Awesome job overall. Thank you very much for the time and care you spent on this project! Also the cards were amazing! I will try and showcase them when I showcase the box. Hopefully we can watch this box travel out in the card community and see what it comes back with!

I’m glad I could teach someone something! Haha yeah I love that micro plane and they actually make mini versions of a lot of their tools and I want them all and make a mini tool cabinet for them😂 I can’t wait to see what’s in the box when it comes back!

Cool little trick with the green tape instead of clamps.

Thanks I always have a role of frog tape close to my bench because it’s so handy to have in the shop.

The Box itself looks Great. I did have a cringe moment when you put that clasp on it, those are the cheesiest looking chest locks/clasp around to me. I have been looking for a good sized box for a while and always walk away fast when they have those clasp, the only thing worse would be like a pad look clasp. I know that they don't make many different kind but to me that has always been a no sale! To each his own! So other then that it does look GREAT!

Thank you! Haha I did not pick the hardware so take that up with 12again but I agree! I know it’s hard (next to impossible) to find good hardware on a budget but all things considered I think it’s a pretty good box and I don’t think people will care much about it but more about what’s inside! I appreciate you consider the details like hardware.

@@matthewvick4930 Like I said nothing wrong with the box at all. It looks GREAT! I am going to build one a little bigger then that in the future, I have been wanting to fill one with Silver for a while now. I also would like to make some cases to hold my Beckett and PSA cards and some for my Coins also.

Just found the channel. Great work man. Subbed. Why do you prefer the gent style saw? Handles always seemed awkward to me.

Thank you so much! I prefer the get saw mostly because it’s what I have currently haha and it’s cheap for a decent saw. I would always recommend a good gent saw to a beginner because I feel like it helps you train yourself to point your finger down the spine of the saw to help guide it because if you don’t it will go all over the place. If I had to pick my favorite though I would go with the veritas line of handsaws because the grips on them fit my hand perfect! I’ve used those, crown dovetail saws, LN dovetail saw and a Japanese style dovetail saw and the veritas was second cheapest out of that list and actually cut the best for me. I really want to get my hands on a florip tool works saw because I hear great things about them and I appreciate the story behind the guy that does it.
