I'm also bhutan refugee , born Chirang (Tserang) Damphu Bhutan but now I live in USA after Bhtanese refugee resettlement program, but thank you for Ugyen Chhoden speaking Nepali which is very respectful and having Nepali lhoshampa friends is advantage that today Ugyen Choden is able to communicate in Nepali also, Having the bilingual skill she can understand and work with people from different cultures, good advantage. Well done n keep it up!, she is a very nice, kind hearted, very friendly and beautiful humane person , very good and showing respect for nepali is great....we need more people like Ugyen chhoden in bhutan! Totally agreed with Ms Ugen Choden, in nepal we have to ban hindi, english and other foreigner movies, if any one to watch above listed movies then nepali can make in Nepal and censored by Nepal Film censor board, for an example there is few hindi speaker in nepal , rather then import from india, why does't make in Nepal in hindi language ? so other nepali typical cultural film will get chance to develop

Yeah so many ethnicity of nepalese origin which is same as in nepal! Gurung/rai/etc falls under kirant and while cheetris/pradhan etc falls under indo-aryan group n sherpa/tmg/lepchas are mixture with tibetans! We all lives with equality and enjoy fruitful relationship...our education minister comes from a rai ethnicity group of bhutan..

How did they become so is in Bhutan 35% people are Nepali people before but in 1990 120,000 Bhutani Nepali people because Bhutani refugee in Nepal and now gone to USA Australia canada england Europe etc but now also there is 20-25% people in Bhutan are Nepali people and Nepali is very common language in Bhutan because all people speak Nepali but some people do not speak Bhutan's language but between one group and another different group, they use Nepali as common language medium of talking and also there is Nepali people in India border Assam, West Bangal Manipur Mizoram, Nagaland Sikkim Gantok Darjeeling, So in Bhutan , Nepali people are lot in school, in markets, in jobs everywhere SO, this Udyen actress and footballer chencho have many Nepali Bhutani friends in school and easily they learn Because in bhutan is nepali language common, A lot of all bahun chhetri rai magar gurung tamang all same like in Nepal is the nepali language and culture follow in bhutan. Late to watch this interview but wanna say that I like her and kind of proud of her because she represents the our country Bhutan but unfortunately my most of the life was spend as refugee in eastern Nepal.... And I like her in another word was she as well as me or specially my friends circle are really innocent what’s the real reasons behind that???? Anyway, gud to see chhoden.... recently from USA 🇺🇸

@@anmolkc6197 Sorry to say, but the experience in Refugee camp in Nepal was worst. We speak the same language, celebrate same festivals, have every cast people just like Nepali, yet we were treated like outsider. I was Born in Nepal lived there for 18 years, still refugee. Local Nepali people around the camps sometimes attacked and school burn our school, they blocked the road so that we not get the rice, we were not allowed work openly outside camps. Our parents were kicked out of Bhutan for being Nepali, and in Nepal we were bullied by calling Bhotage and Refugee. Yet we thank Nepal for just providing a land to stay for over 18 years near Jungle and rivers.

@@anmolkc6197 It was difficult to live in Refugee camp in near by Jungle in Nepal. It was even more painful difficult when your own Nepali brother and sister treats you very badly in such a difficult situation, even though we have some good memory within Camps as well.

After 2 years I'm commenting on this interview as I could take it no more. Dear Ugyen Choden please don't tell any outsiders ever again that Nepali is our second language. You as Bhutanese should be better known about such basic stuff of own country. Dzongkha is our first language followed by English😏 don't give faults information to people who don't know.

waho! talkin bout human rights from bhutani citizen. how can she talk regards human rights? does she or her bhutanese government desreve to do it? thousands of innocent lhotashampas been exiled from their motherland. bhutan king you could learn something from switzerland. It is almost same size as bhutan nd landlcked as well. even far too bigger than ur population are living with harmony. unlike bhutan, there is no one nation, one people policy like nazi. all different languages like italaian, german nd french are not restricted. no issues with different regeions got different languages, costumes nd traditions. Their diversity did not prevent them to become one of the richest developed country in the world. miss choden! nepali is in nepali, in english nepali is Nepalese! plz. The bhutanese government is also claiming happiest place in the world. This kind of propaganda is absolute now. finally, in 2008ad absolute monarchy been replaced by constitutional democratic monarchy. so wat kind of constitutional democratic monarchy is it? is it like UK or Thailand? is monarch under the law or not? if monarch is still above the law then it can not be democratic yet nd still have long way to go. most of these issues are with government not with ugyen. she is just a artist nd we have to admire her if someone fancy. thx!
