    The way YT videos should be. No distracting music. Straightforward accurate information , quick instruction without annoying chatter or attempts to be clever.

    Thanks. Finally a video that is the same configuration as my truck. Wasn’t sure how to change the thermostat being in such a tight space. You saved me a lot of time, stress, and head scratching. Quick and easy with the right knowledge. I didn’t know if I was going to need to buy a lot of gaskets pulling all that other stuff off. .

    Thanks. Super easy. Aside for waiting for the coolant to drain at a snail pace. 15-20 minute job TOPS!

    Never owned a truck that required more than the air intake to be removed. Apparently Ford thinks it’s been too easy on me with my 2010. Thanks for the video, probably would have spent a while figuring out that I need to remove the throttle body. Only difference is I’ll just pull the upper hose to drain and replace at the same time. If your thermostat needs replacing, your hoses are probably old as well.

    I’m having trouble getting the housing out from under the throttle body. The two bolts are out and everything done as you show but there isn’t enough room above the T-Stat housing to wiggle it out. Any help?

    How did you torque the thermostat housing screws? Which tools did u use to get in the tight spaces?

      @@bensielaffauto22 Do we need 13 liters of 50/50 mix or do we need 13 liters of 100% coolant? ALSO, before I go to Lowe's and buy the wrong thing... What is the inside diameter of that "little hose" you connect to the petcock valve?

    What do you mean by 50 / 50 . Do you put half in the radiator tank and half in the overflow tank ?

    • @ccclaw13
      @ccclaw13 Рік тому

      With concentrated antifreeze you do 50/50 antifreeze and distilled water. You can get antifreeze that is already diluted with water so you don't have to mix the two. Just check the label

      @@bensielaffauto22, Thanks... I have a 2009, and it is much easier, I only needed two tools, I only had to remove the air intake, and that isn't completely necessary. I was done in 10 mins.

    Where is the coolant temp sensor at?!?!?!

  • @sethtammy5231

    @BenSielaff
    Would this cause a vacuum leak and a high idle? My 2010 Ford F-150 Was high idling and wonky at starting up, for about 3 weeks. Then today, it started sounding like the radiator fan was working overdrive trying to cool it off and my temp would run hot only when accelerating? The thermostat is leaking air, I sprayed soap/water on it to find out.
