I have a Bachelor of Science in recreation and outdoor education. One of my outdoor ed professors used to say, "if you are uncomfortable in the outdoors, it's your own fault.". In other words, it's not the fact that you are outside or the outdoor environment, it's the fact that you aren't prepared. :). Great tips!
Being comfortable translates to being happy. You can put your energy into what you’re doing and actually enjoy it instead of the situation being a battle. Comfort provides less physical and mental stress, good sleep and more energy for the activity
Just got back from a few dags backpacking. I can't find your video about different ways to make coffee, so I post my comment here: Tnx a million for trying Aero press. We hadn't seen it before, bought it after having seen your video and absolutely love it! Totally the best way to make great coffee in the outdoors.
I think its better to carry a little more for enjoying anything in nature i am hikking and kayaking and the best for me is to find a balance between weight and comfort without ruining myself!!
My go to comfy things are, 1. The Looney Tunes and Yogi Bear Collection on my phone. 2. Anything with pasta, sauce and copious amounts of cheese. 3. Damn good micro roasted dark darker darkest coffee. I could be soaked and chilled to the bone, lost in the berens and sleeping under a tree..but with these 3 things..I would die a happy man.

Absolutely! Backpacking should rarely be a battle. Learning to be comfortable is a highly useful skill!

Glad you dig the Aeropress! Yeah I love that thing. I'm honored to have changed your life.
@@BackpackingTV In more ways than one! I think we have seen every single video you have put on UA-cam, often more than once. Top quality!

Always good stuff for any level hiker. Thanks for sharing. Be well and Trail on!
Thanks Tracey!
I definitely recommend bringing a camp chair and also a pillow.
It definitely makes life more comfortable! (Usually doesn't quite make the cut for me though)
