Daman has become synonymous with blue sea, rustic beaches, picturesque villages and relics. It is situated about 193 km north of Mumbai. The road along the seafront is dotted with decent budget hotels that are comfortable and many of these hotels have in-house restaurants. Daman is famous for its seafood, vegetarian dishes and alcohol. The best time to visit Daman and Diu is October to March.
