Thanks for the great info. Picked up an earlier model (carry case handles different) at a local GoodWill for $44 (after veteran discount.) PT at my VA clinic has me exerclsing to strenthen back & hips after mini-stroke and trying to preserve menescus (left is near gone.) Needed a table for some new exercises. Frame et al in great shape, but coating on handles & corners crumbling and Velcro on face pillow support gone. Probably due to traveling around in a car in the Arizona heat. Don't plan on traveling and for $44, I can't complain. Figure a fitted sheet should be good and will get some Velcro strips at JoAnn fabrics.

The thing about earthlite tables is that less than 2 years in and the upholstery starts peeling off so I leave a mess in my clients' homes. I have to keep apologizing about it and i leave them with a mess to clean instead of relaxing. The peeling part starts all over the sides first. Then throughout. After 3 years it completely peels off then it's just clothlike. I didn't rub it clean with alcohol. The table itself is still strong and sturdy. Ive had 3 Earthlite tables. Luna and harmony. I think the spirit was older and had the harder "leather" material. It's better to have good upholstery material anyway it's covered with the sheepskin and sheets when I do massages. So best to get better & durable upholstery table if the table body is strong enough to last many years.

38 lbs sounds quite heavy! I know they offer a lighter portable table.
