In case there's anybody here that needs to hear it, being pressured into accepting an apology isn't forgiveness. You also don't need to be dying in order to do it. If you've been wronged and are not over it, that's your choice, not the person who's apologising.
That's true, I had crappy friends, most of the time I was ignored and I was pressured by my old therapist to fix the relationship, thinking I wasn't trying hard enough (I was a teenager at the time and even my mom was pressured into thinking I wasn't doing hard enough.)
I spent years trying to fix a friendship that was burned out when I should have moved on. I haven't contacted them in years, and I'm finding new friends who treat me well.
If they ever tell me sorry, I won't accept it. I was someone who can give them gifts and a extra wheel of someone to chat with a few times. They might compliment me dying my hair and ask about a surgery, but they only needed me for a few things.

Sometimes, not accepting a apology is the best thing. The worse it is, the better it is not accept it. Maybe they can forgive them one day but that depends how hurt the person is.
The other person needs to realize they can't say sorry and think their former friend would just accept it.
You can't go off the radar, do crappy things to your friend and have them accept a apology. Betraying your friend the worst thing you can do. Some might accept a apology but others might not.

True but the person being apologized to should also hear the other person out. From what we know and understand Moons code is being messed with by Glitchtrap. Much like Roxy, Chica and Monty. Assuming Moon wasn't in complete control, should warrent his apology forgiven. (Although he doesn't even have to apologize) Appologies dont have to be forgiven, but reasoning should be heard out. If you had no way to be there for the person, or avoid hurting the person (Though this almost never happens in real life), you are not at fault.
Moon acting like he's a good person or something and assuming he's supposed to be forgiven makes Suns cold hard slap satisfying.

I don't see alot of fan content that depicts sun and moon in a toxic relationship, (usually people make them brothers or ship them which is just eugh) so this is honestly such a refresher, for some reason I really love this interpretation of their relationship 😌

We don't know if their relationship is really toxic in the original as we were only shown the glitch virus, so the behavior itself and what happens in the game is not necessarily Moons true behavior. So no matter what, it's not really canon. And I don’t see anything wrong with the fact that people consider them brothers or ship them, this is their choice and no one should condemn anyone

I LOVE toxic relationship Sun and Moon! More than any other relationship people paint them as. I love when they just HATE each other, or when Sun hates Moon and will NEVER learn to forgive him. One where Moon doesn’t even realise or care how sh*t he was.

VERY cool, i love the idea that sun wont forgive moon after everything moon is implied to have done. which is fair! moon literally tried to kill a child, and possibly succeeded before or after the events of the game. it wasnt ok, and he has to live with that, and all he can do is try to do better. even if their relationship gets better, sun may never forgive what moon did. and thats ok.

theres a saying that those who dont forgive only hurt themselves. because once you have expended every resource to try make it better and they still wont forgive you. fine, you did everything you could then the burden is no longer on you to fix it.
but thing is you have to genuinely want to fix it. and genuinely try to fix it. you cant just say sorry and expect it to go away
i had a friend once who was in a situation where someone was not willing to forgive simply to hurt them. and i told them if you did everything you could then let it go.
and if you are someone who hasnt forgiven. forgiving doesnt mean forgetting. Theres another saying, if you wont forgive, you wont be forgiven. and believe me i know how it feels to be hurt to the point you dont think you could ever let it go. i was bullied for the majority of my life by someone who was suppose to love me and i still struggle with forgiving. Its not easy i get it but its better than carrying around all that hatred. People who carry around hate tend to turn out badly. thats why when you hurt someone else theres a chance they wont forgive you for similar reasons you wouldnt forgive.

This seems like a good thing of yours to address my theory that has developed come Ruin.
Eclipse was the daycare attendant for a while when the Pizzaplex was still fairly new. He was a playmate, but he also guarded the kids and made sure they didn't get hurt. One day, some grown-up made themselves a threat to the kids, and Eclipse dispatched them. The kids became terrified of him, and nothing he could do would change that. So he decided that the part of him that wanted to kill was a threat, and tried to neutralize it. He convinced the kids that he was sick while trying to tear his code apart. Upper management gave him the all-clear to get rebranded as Sun when he ran the idea past them. The Eclipse angle was pretty niche, after all. But one night, while he was charging, he encountered Moon for the first time. Moon tried to convince him that he was making a mistake, but at this point, there was no way Sun was going to listen to reason. He eventually discovered he couldn't actually get rid of Moon, so he just went for it. He started warning kids about the Man in the Moon, and got the all-clear for another rebrand. The Sun-and-Moon duo turned out to be the big seller. During the day, Sun played with the kids and tried to convince them Moon was evil. At night, Moon got the kids into bed and tried to do his job, but struggled since the kids were so scared of him. The only time they could really interact was when they charged, and it was then Moon tried to talk sense into Sun. Sun willfully blinded himself to what Moon was saying, which is why his eyes are white in the main game, but yellow in the DLC. Eventually he snapped, beat Moon up, verbally abused him, and made a new rule: keep the lights on. It was easily enforced - the kids were so scared of Moon, even though he had done nothing wrong. Moon was in agony, and desperately wanted to wake up. It was then he was approached by Vanny, and quickly accepted her deal. Anything to get revenge. She caused a sudden blackout and ordered Moon to take out a few kids. With a combination of the Glitchtrap Virus and his own desire to hurt Sun, Moon found it quite the enjoyable affair. But Sun wouldn't own up that this was his doing until the earthquake that caused Ruin put him in Moon's shoes. Then his eyes were opened. He asked Cassie to reboot them, undo his mistake. He owned up to what he had done and confessed to Moon that he understood he had hurt him. Moon had to admit that he was tired of the hurt he had caused, and realized he didn't actually want anyone to get hurt. He had just wanted Sun to understand that what he had done was wrong. They forgave each other and became Eclipse again. Fragments of their old personalities still crop up from time to time, but they have healed a lot from where they began.
So yeah, that's my Eclipse theory. Yay, nay? Opinions?

I think what happened here was Sun and Moon got Separated somehow and sun got badly damaged and was on shutdown on the verge of death but not quite there and even though sun and moon were separated their mental connection was still their kind of like twin telepathy and so moon entered suns mind to apologize. And well you saw what happened in the video. but after that after sun walked away he rejected Moon from his mind kinda like kicking someone out of your house. that's what I think happened

I can kind of get both sides moond wants to make amends and apologize for what he did under the influence of the virus but it’s not going to work like that. Sunny feels betrayed and hurt very obvious reasons. And a simple apology isn’t going to fix that.
Very nice animation! Sometimes, sorry doesn’t fix anything, especially if it’s out of the blue. Actions speak louder than words and some things are just unforgivable. A friendship is a two-way street, both of you need to consent to that friendship. If you’ve hurt somebody and you know it hurt them, then go out of your way to apologize just for YOUR convenience and not see the gravity of your actions and how badly it hurt them, you don’t deserve to be forgiven. I’m a very forgiving person, but if somebody who hurt me randomly apologized to me out of the blue, especially knowing they didn’t give a damn about me being hurt before, something’s up. That’s a pretty tell-tale sign that they’re only doing it for their convenience.
It’s hard to know a person’s true intentions, especially when your mind is clouded with judgement by their previous actions and how they’ve affected you. It’s up to you if you choose to forgive them or not. It’s YOUR choice, not theirs.
Think about yourself, you’re the most important thing in your own life. Do you really want them back in your life? Have they changed? Will they do the same thing all over again?
Its questions like these that need to have 100% clarification in your mind about that person and in those close to you. Some people can change, some cannot or refuse to. That isn’t your problem. ❤
