    This can be very intimidating for a newborn, but I am keeping the faith that I can figure it all out as I'm on my own in learning.

    I discovered your channel last night when I was looking for a review of the Cultural Backgrounds Bible. I like how you explain stuff and I listened to the WHOLE video. This one, too - without skipping. Appreciate this. Great explanation. Authentic as well. Thank you!

    Do you know of a bible that has both forward and reverse references? I like the Thompson Chain, but the page references only carry forward. That's great if I started reading in Genesis. But if I pick up the bible and happen to begin reading in Titus, the subject references will only point me forward thereby missing any previous reference. Of course, I can flip to the back and pull up the master reference, but that's a bit inconvenient.

      I didn’t know that about the Thompson. I think most Bibles have standard references forward & backward. But, I’m not aware of any as focused on references as the Thompson. I do know of a great book that talks about Old Testament references in the New Testament, but it may be a little *more* in depth than desired. It’s definitely not a handy quick reference like those found within Bibles. Fwiw, you might like it though! amzn.to/3NlqfNT

    So. You don’t look up every single cross reference for every verse do you? Do you just look up cross references for the verses you do not understand? Do you look up the cross references found in the cross references you just looked up? Hope this makes sense?

    • @MarinaLMcClure
      @MarinaLMcClure  Рік тому +1

      I think it makes sense. I’d say it totally depends on what I’m trying to do. If I want to go down a random rabbit trail of connected ideas and verses, sure, I could follow every one. More often though, I’d only spend on ones that are part of a more direct reference. And I’d probably stop at that first layer (if that makes sense) to try to stay on topic of whatever the original verse is. Does that help? (It’s okay if it doesn’t…lol… I’ll try again)

      Are you talking about the link to the translations toolkit? I think it does work; it will take you to a page on my website. If you input your email address underneath, it will email to you directly! Please let me know if that's what you mean and if you've taken those steps, it's still not working. Thank you!!
