  • Brompton didn’t start with a bicycle designer. We began with a young engineer, Andrew Ritchie, who believed there had to be a better way to move around the city-one that puts health, happiness and freedom at the forefront. It’s why he invented the Brompton folding bike and why we exist today.
Riding a Brompton is good for you and the planet, but it’s only part of the equation.
Being a Certified B Corp means we have joined a global community of businesses committed to using their business as a force for good. It recognises we meet high standards of social and environmental performance. And it puts a stake in the ground that moves us forward-so we can challenge what is and create what can be, just like Andrew did in 1975.

I would like to find the configurator on the Brompton website to be able to make my bike tailor-made

Now give us disc brakes with throughaxel for better safety and serviceability (like most other bike brands already adopted a long time ago).

A P line and a T line has throughaxles I don’t think disc brakes are necessary on what primarily is a city bike.

A decent rim brake is as good as lower end disc brakes (and very easy to service). Adding higher end disc brakes would add to the cost.
