Niiiiiiiiiiice teardown! Good quality product indeed, they definitely weren't messing around and cutting corners when designing this. Nice to see a gas discharge surge arrester - the red part next to a fan..
36:55 the connector is named XT60 and it's popular in high-ish current DC applications, especially battery powered.

You can wire In a start capacitor to the cord to start high peak items

Very interesting I find when people do tear down and promote a product they don’t use it in all applications ie real World using old tools as well as New. I am now thinking about purchasing one of these. Thanks again.

I have a smaller Westinghouse power station that gets the job done. That one is definitely more equipped.

Can easily work on or repair something? I dig that.
Definitely gonna jot this down in my "possible new toy" section of ye olde ideas notebook.

Picked one up off Aliexpress for £140 (VAT and shipping included) just now, which seems like a nuts amount to pay for a 600W power station. Just hoping I don't suffer the E207 error.

does the low capacity put you off? i think i have a bias to only look at minimum 1kwh power stations, i guess bandwagoning with all the other name brand popular power stations offerings. i gotta change that becuase i dont like how they ^ are also expensive like 600-1000 usd which is so got dang expensive yuck.
but i think i want to wait for more modular power stations. they have them use but see above (too expensive lol). but i can see myself totally wiring up one of those standalone 12v or 24v batteries into the solar input on your power stations, and there you go modular power station lol. i know i know it would be nice if each component be its own plug but the more i type i realize resistance would go up which sucks.

The low capacity doesn't put me off since I won't be using it for anything that has to have more than an hour of runtime. Especially something like a hedge trimmer.

Get an egs002 mosfet 'tube' board from china less than 100 us, add an amorphous toroid choke about 20 each and wind your own amorphous core transformer,
    It would be the
    Cheapest
    Most efficient
    Most reliable imo
Highest power density and highest surge capability.
Easiest to use and set up.
Off grid inverter up at about 98 percent efficient if you use the multistrand copper with the proper turn ratio and inductor sizing.
It would be the highest quality power also, Will start any load and run it with the least amount of electromagnetic impedance.
Works great. Would cost around 200usd you then have to create all the connections enclosures and battery schema but this is the best and only way to do it if you ask me.
The one thing that isnt china garbage.

And if gan mosfets were cheap and in convenient robust packages, it would be closer to 100 percent efficient.
There is no reason why all solar inverters shouldnt have gan mosfets and amorphous core chokes. Its been here since at least 2010 and now its barely on the market. eevblog shows the crappy deye inverter interface WITH the amorphous transformer, they are small and efficient. And gan inverters are used in japan and china, but not anywhere near exportability.
IT would take solar to a higher efficiency when the equipment works properly, and they use the right components avaliable now and for decades at this point.

And they should have the ENTIRE circuit on one thick pcb. OH MY FUCK, They really do thier best to make it widely avaliable and least convienent.
It should have the choke on board and the transformer on board, flat, and with the cooling fan hard mounted to the board.
It can even have standoffs and mounts for covers to keep dust and metal things out.
      RRRGGHHH
And i wouldnt be able to use circuit board programs because that is on another level of incompatibilty, built in uselessness, and glitchy as hell.
So to everyone saying i should just design it, college was shit for engineering and employers in the us are shit for it also.
Its possible for some, but definetly many are prevented. Meanwhile everyone gets a 3d printer and working software, but mostly garbage output.
      AHHRGGG
