Fareb-e-nazar hai, sakoon-o-sabbat
Tadapta hai har zarra-e-qayanat
[Being stable is a mere illusion of eyes,
for every atom in the universe constantly tremble's]
Theherta nahi carvaan-e-wujood
ke har lehza hai taaza shaan-e-wujood
[The caravan of life never halts,
for each moment life renews itself]
Samajhta hai tu raaz hai zindagi
Faqt zauq-e-parwaaz hai zindagi
[You believe that life is a mystery,
when it is a mere desire to soar high]
Jawano ko meri aah-e-seher de
Phir in shaaheen bachho ko baal-o-par de
[Give to the youth my sigh of dawn,
Give wings to these young falcon like kids]
Khudaya aarzoo meri yahi hai
Mera noor-e-basirat aam kar de
[God, this is my only wish,
That you share the divine light in me with all]
Sitaaron se aage jahaan aur bhi hain
Abhi ishq ke imtihan aur bhi hain
[There is a world beyond stars as well,
There are yet many tests of love and devotion]
Har ek maqaam se aage, maqaam hai tera
Hayat-e-zauq safar ke siva kuch aur nahi
[The place of your ambition is beyond everything,
What better can this life be than an endless strife]
Sitaaron se aage jahaan aur bhi hain
Abhi ishq ke imtihan aur bhi hain
[There is a world beyond stars as well,
There are yet many tests of love and devotion]
Tahi zindagi se nahin yeh fizaayein
Yahan sainkado carvaan aur bhi hain
[The world around you is not devoid of life,
There are hundreds of other caravans too]
Qanaa'at na kar aalam-e-rang-o-bu par
Chaman aur bhi, aashiyaan aur bhi hain
[Do not be content with this world of color and scent,
There are other gardens and other nests too]
Tu hi nadaan chand kaliyon par qanaat kar gaya
Warna gulshan mein ilaaj-e-tangi-e-damaa bhi hai
[You are naive to be contended with a few flower buds,
When this garden has even the cure for your limited desires]
Agar kho gaya ek nasheman toh kya gham
Muqaamaat-e-aah-o-fughaan aur bhi hain
[So what if you lost one nest, don't worry,
There are many more places to rue and lament]
Nishaan yahi hai zamaane mein zinda kaumo ka
Ke subho shaam badalti hai unki taqdeerein
[It is the sign of a nation that is alive,
When its fate keeps changing day and night]
Na pucho mujhse lazzat khanaman barbaad rehne ki
Nasheman sainkado maine banakar phoonk daale hai
[Do not ask me about the pleasure of living in destitution,
I have created and burnt down hundreds of nests]
Tu Shaaheen Hai, Parvaaz Hai Kaam Tera
[You are a falcon, to fly and soar high is your job]
Nahi tera nasheman, qasr-e-sultani ke gumbad par
Tu shaaheen hai baseraa kar pahadon ki chattano mein
[The place for your nest is not on top of the royal dome,
You are a falcon, go live in the rocks on the mountains]
Guzar auqat kar leta hai ye koh-o-biyaban mein
Ki shaaheen ke liye zillat hai kaar-e-aashiyan-kaari
[He dwells and lives out his days in rocks and desserts,
For it is disgrace for a falcon to live in a nest forever]
Garcha hai dilkusha bohot, husn-e-farang ki bahar
Taerk-e-buland-o-baal daana-o-daam se guzar
[It is very enchanting, with its beauty in the west,
You are a bird of paradise, resist the earthly trap]
Ae taair-e-lahauti us rizq se maut achhi
Jis rizq se aati ho parvaz mein kotahi
[O bird, who flies to the throne of God, death is better than the daily bread, that keeps you from soaring high]
Tu Shaaheen Hai, Parvaaz Hai Kaam Tera
Tere Saamne Aasmaan Aur Bhi Hain
[You are a falcon, to fly and soar high is your job,
For before you lies the endless sky]
Jhapatna, palatna, palatkar jhapatna
Lahu gram rakhne ka hai ek bahaana
[To swoop, return and to swoop and return again,
Is only but an excuse to keep your blood warm]
Parindo ki duniya ka darwaish hu mein
Ki shaaheen banata nahi aashiyaana
[I am the dervish of the kingdom of birds,
For a falcon does not build nests]
Isi roz-o-shab mein ulajh kar na rah jaa
Kih tere zamaan-o-makaan aur bhi hain
[Don't get ensnared by mere cycle of day and night,
For there are even more times and places that belong to you]
Gaye din ke tanhaa thaa main anjuman mein
Yahaan ab mere raaz-daan aur bhi hain!
[Gone are the days when I was lonely in this society,
I have many other to share my secrets with now]

Most Iqbal's concept are taken from Nietzsche's work.
I blame him for creating the muslim nationalism in India. Not the only factor important in why indian nationalism become hindu nationalism and why pakistan is what it is.
Iqbal did his PhD in philosophy at Heidelberg, so no surprise he was influenced by Nietzsche.

Turkey and Pakistan both same view of making the country. But only a turk is a founding father, in pakistan Every Muslim raider of india/afghanistan is a hero. Bakhtiyar, a dirty Ghurid ghulam slave is only choosen in a country as pakistan, and there are muslims where he raided and picking him made him muslim nationalism more then Iqbal.
Pakistani read iqbal saying go get a education, they say " ah jannat al ferdows truth of the qouran translation" and now dont even have to read the al-kitab just here rahat.
Also Iqbals later persian are partisan as the urdu, he was already then taken by the movment and in it. Earlier are nothing about muslims of today but of history.
I know who pakistan have given medals, and i grew up in karachi. Good people many there, just few things twisted on things, but the bad people rule for there is no kafir muslim but the cup drinking christan and indian hindu. Afghans still do bache basi in closed spaces but in pakistan al-munafiqitn means hindus.
Iqbal is just a man, flawed, but nr 1 for me- I read all and every language retranslated and if you followed the meanin what he say pakistan would be speaking this urdu by education, not give upp.

"الحمدُ لله نحمدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُه، ونَسْتَغْفِرُهُ، ونَتُوبُ إليه، ونَعُوذُ باللهِ مِنْ شُرورِ أنْفُسِنا ومِنْ سيّئآتِ أعْمَالِنَا مَن يَهْدِ اللهُ فَلا مُضِلَّ لَهُ، ومَنْ يُضَلِلْ فَلاَ هَادِيَ لَهُ. وأشهد أن لا إله إلاّ الله وحْده لا شريك له، وأنّ محمداً عبدُه ورسولُه. أوصيكُم عبادَ الله بتقوى الله،وأحثّكم على طاعته! وأستفتح بالذي هو خير. أَمَّا بعد، أيّهَا النّاس، اسْمَعُوا منّي أُبّينْ لَكُمْ، فَإنّيَ لاَ أَدْرِي، لعَليّ لاَ أَلْقَاكُمْ بَعْدَ عَامي هَذَا، في مَوْقِفي هذا، أَيُهَا النَّاس، إنّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأمْوَالَكُمْ وَأَعْرَاضَكُمْ عَليكُمْ حَرَامٌ إلى أنْ تَلْقَوْا رَبَّكُمْ، كَحُرمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا في شَهْرِ كُمْ هَذَا في بَلَدِكُم هَذَا وإنكم ستلقون ربكم فيسألكم عن أعمالكم وقد بلغت، فَمَنْ كَانَتْ عِنْدَهُ أَمَانةٌ فليؤُدِّها إلى مَنْ ائْتمَنَهُ عَلَيها، وإن كل ربا موضوع ولكن لكم رءوس أموالكم لا تظلمون ولا تظلمون، وقضى الله أنه لا ربا، وإن ربا عمي العباس بن عبد المطلب موضوع كله وأن كل دم كان في الجاهلية موضوع وإن أول دمائكم أضع دم عامر ابن ربيعة بن الحارث بن عبد المطلب، فهو أول ما أبدأ به من دماء الجاهلية، وإن مآثر الجاهلية موضوعة غير السدانة والسقاية والعمد قَوَدٌ، وشبه العمد ما قتل بالعصا والحجر وفيه مائة بعير فمن ازداد فهو من الجاهلية.
أما بعد أيها الناس فإن الشيطان قد يئس من أن يعبد بأرضكم هذه أبدا ولكنه إن يطع فيما سوى ذلك فقد رضي به بما تحقرون من أعمالكم فاحذروه على دينكم أيها الناس ﴿ إِنَّمَا النَّسِيءُ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْكُفْرِ يُضَلُّ بِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُحِلُّونَهُ عَاماً وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُ عَاماً لِيُوَاطِئُوا عِدَّةَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ فَيُحِلُّوا مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ ﴾ إن الزمان قد استدار كهيئته يوم خلق الله السموات والأرض و﴿ إِنَ عِدَّةَ الشهور عند اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْراً ﴾ منها أربعة حرم ثلاثة متوالية ورجب مضر، الذي بين جمادى وشعبان. أما بعد أيها الناس، إن لِنسَائِكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حقاً، ولَكُمْ عَلَيْهِنّ حقّ، لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِنّ ألا يُوطْئنَ فُرُشَكُمْ غيرَكم وَلا يُدْخِلْنَ أحَداً تكرَهُونَهُ بيوتَكُمْ، ولا يأتينَ بِفَاحِشَة فإن فعلن فإن الله قد أذن لكم أن تهجروهن في المضاجع وتضربوهن ضربا غير مبرح فإن انتهين فلهن رزقهن وكسوتهن بالمعروف واستوصوا بالنساء خيرا، فإنهن عندكم عوان لا يملكن لأنفسهن شيئا، وإنكم إنما أخذتموهن بأمانة الله واستحللتم فروجهن بكلمات الله فاعقلوا أيها الناس قولي، أَيهَا النّاسُ، إنّما المُؤمِنُونَ إخْوةٌ، فَلاَ يَحِلُّ لامْرِىءٍ مَالُ أَخيهِ إلاّ عَنْ طيبِ نفْسٍ منهُ، أَلاَ هَلْ بلّغْتُ، اللّهُم اشْهَدْ، فلا تَرْجِعُنّ بَعْدِي كُفاراً يَضرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رقابَ بَعْض فَإنّي قَدْ تَركْتُ فِيكُمْ مَا إنْ أخَذتمْ بِهِ لَمْ تَضِلُّوا بَعْدَهُ، كِتَابَ اللهِ وَ سُنَّة نَبيّه، أَلاَ هَلْ بلّغتُ، اللّهمّ اشْهَدْ.
أيها النّاسُ إن رَبَّكُمْ وَاحِدٌ، وإنّ أَبَاكُمْ واحِدٌ، كُلكُّمْ لآدمَ وآدمُ من تُراب، إن أَكرمُكُمْ عندَ اللهِ أتْقَاكُمْ وليس لعربيّ فَضْلٌ على عجميّ إلاّ بالتّقْوىَ، أَلاَ هَلْ بلَّغْتُ، اللّهُمّ اشهد" قَالُوا: نَعَمْ قَال: فلْيُبَلِّغِ الشاهدُ الغائبَ والسلامُ عليكم ورحمة الله"

Ofcourse Urdu is a beautiful and sweet language its roots comes from Arabic , persion , hindi and sanscrit so, for this reason Urdu is a perfect and complete language. But, unfortunately people think this language for only enjoyment by geet , gazal , qawwali and shaaeri. But, now a days Urdu became homely language of Naani and daadhi. We have to bring Urdu from geet , gazal and mushaaers to science , technology , medicine and modern media. Then only Urdu can use in officers , business and modern life.
