International TD 14 hand crank start and drive over camera

- My friend hand cranks hid International TD 14 crawler tractor. It starts on gasoline and then flips over to diesel. Amazing old machine. Then I got to operate it and drive over the camera a few times .
I’m a retired tool and die maker and mechanical things like this get my blood flowing. I’ve never had the opportunity to operate equipment like this but this would be kick a$$ fun to do. Set up an obstacle course, give me some divine guidance on how to navigate and steer and get the WAY THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY, I may be dangerous! How much fun is it to operate old equipment like this??
I have thousands of hours on a TD-14A. I have to admit I have never needed to crank one by hand. I was impressed! I also loved seeing the dust build up in the glass canning jar on the air cleaner. This guy actually did quite well for a novice. Very seldom is it necessary to lock a track to turn. There should be no jerky movement of the tractor whatsoever. Perfect circles and figure eights are easily performed with only minimal disturbance of the ground surface. Almost no brake is required to turn when under a heavy load, but when unladen, just pull a steering friction back and feather in whatever corresponding brake force is necessary. Idle speed is only used when backing up to an implement or starting/shutting down. Full throttle when working and variable mid to high power for the finesse work. If you want to track a straight line between two points just pick out a destination point and go for it using a minimum of corrections. If someone is watching you, it will appear as if no steering corrections were used at all. I have to say that it takes a real man to hand crank an IH TD-14.

Great job explaining the third valve, compression drop, spark plug exposure, butterfly in manifold etc.
Thats one good tuned gas starting system . And when you shut down close the compression valves .

We still have that pair of 14-A crawlers I keep thinking use the best parts of the two and fix one. Might never get around to it? Owned them since the Turn of the Century and havent done anything yet. Eny Road my wife and I just made and posted a U Tube video of them.

I own two 14A,s I use one for parts. Mine have the overhead cable operated blade system.
Not the govener weights sticking is the rack run some powersaw mix oil in ur fuel to lube it

Possui uma patrol Trojam , Internatinal , modelo MD 6 , mesmo funcionamento , domino esse motor , por exemplo , regulagem dos bicos injetores , 50 Kgfx cm 2 . Igual ao motor do TD6
