    Hi, I have an unanswered query. If I have purchased a residential property 11 months prior to the sale of another residential property and used the sale proceeds to immediately repay the loan of the purchased property, do I still need to deposit the amount in CGAS ? How can this be filed in the ITR as CGAS details are mandatory to claim the 54 exemption ?

    Sir please clarify how to deal in case 7 sellers and buyer is one. Sale value is distributed in 7 persons. In that case the sale value in the buyer details would be distributed value or consolidated value. For example sale value is 70 lakh out of seven person the one each gets 10 lakh. While filing return of a seller his consideration value will be 10 lakh where the stamp duty value is 70 lakh. In buyers detail what amount would be shown 10 lakh or 70lakh ?

    thanks for the video!! 2 queries please wrt deductions that can be claimed to reduce capital gains and thereby tax;
    1) For purchase date consideration, should we include the date of agreement where we started paying the first instalment or the date mentioned in the final sale deed
    2) Apart from a) CII b) repair work c) any Section 54 like 54ec capital gain bonds, is there any other deduction that can be claimed (I guess the yearly property tax/water tax etc can't be claimed 😀), thanks!!

    Sir i sold a joint property where there is no defined share so will it be 50% automatically. Also in my buying price do i have to add only base price and registration value. Also while filing tax do i need to make the purchase and sale value also half for both of us.

      @@ChetanSethi-s3j No I didn't got the answer. What I did was while filling I made everything 50% and showed in ITR as there was no option to declare that the seller has co owner. You also need to fill the house schedule where you declare the percentage share during purchase.

    I am 70 years old senior citizen. I have purchased a residential plot of 6 decimals in 1990 by Rs.45,000. Now the circle value of that plot is Rs.25 lakhs. I want to transfer the land to my only son,aged 25 years,who has no income, through a gift deed. Now I want to know if I or my son will be liable to pay any income-tax for the transfer of that land by gift deed? Please give me a reply.
