This bag is made of lamb skin leather. People, need to learn the different kinds of leathers that are used in handbags. I have this bag and the lamb skin leather holds up very well, you have to be a little gentle with lamb skin leather. The Chanel bags use lamb skin leathers in their flap handbags. Ladies, do not hesitate in purchasing this handbag, superior quality.

GREAT review! I have the Kensington bag in grey in the medium size, & I LOVE it! I've been wanting to get the large bag in black too! I get sooooo many compliments every where I go when I carry my Kensington bag! You're absolutely right it does look very luxurious like a Chanel or YSL bag without the hefty price!

Just purchased my 2nd XXL Kensington. Got a tweed version in the winter and it proved to be so useful in my daily life that I made an order for one in Teal color. This is the only bag I own doubles of, I don't think I've ever owned doubles of any bag in my life but this one is worth it! 😍
It's one of the few I own doubles of too!! It's such a stunning bag, and holds so much!! Do you love the tweed one?! I've been considered a tweed Kurt Geiger, but haven't pulled the trigger on it!! Would love your opinion!! The teal is GORGEOUS!!!
@@GirlinPursesuit Love it!😊 The bag is so lightweight and I've seen a few people say the tweed is the best material KG does. I agree, the fabric is holding out beautifully. I have just a black&white one with no frills or glitter, and it's just so elegant and basic enough that it will go with anything. I just feel like tweed isn't very summery so the Teal leather bag was just a way of making sure I have Kensingtons for all seasons.

Love your review I do see that they have a name plate on some o their bags, but not all of them. I too wish they had put one on the bag I purchased. The "Marco Kensington" bag has one and it is even larger than mine and yours. Very cute!

I was in the market to buy the ysl Lou Lou bag and was feeling bad about the price...I found this bag a few months ago on the Kurt Geiger site and tried finding UA-cam videos on it...none were as great as your video! This was super informative and helpful! The bag is not my style, but I appreciated the detail you went into with this review.
As for the printed vs plated logo. For me, it is easily forgivable considering 1. the massive eagle emblem is already provided on the front, making the brand unmistakable, 2. the heavy chains for handles, and 3. the smooth printed logo is located on the back of the bag, where it is likely to run against your clothing and skin. I appreciate the eliminated risk of ruining clothing or scratching skin. It makes more sense, to me at least, for a plated logo like that to be on the front or side of a bag, never on the back.

For whatever reason, I do really love this style - it’s in the chain detail for me and the eagle as well. Black is generally not my go to bag color but I loved the sleekness of it and that it truly goes with everything! Although the rainbow one truly has my heart, and I do have a feeling it might be under the tree in a few weeks 🤞

I actually was watching your review while I was in Nordstrom! Ha! My question was would it fit my new Ipad. Saw that it does fit a MacBook so that sold it for me. I agree it could definitely use feet. As for everyday I probably will not use everyday and thankful it included a dust bag. Thanks for the review!

I will absolutely do that video for you!! I carried it as my consistent, primary bag for about 4 months (just now switching in and out of my other bags), and it did really well! I like the printed logo a lot of high end bags actually have printed labels on the bag (Celine, Yves saint Laurant, etc) I wouldn’t say it’s cheap it’s just not a preference I always got the feel that they wanted to go on the more high end look

Definitely true! I think what’s odd about this one is that the rainbow XXL Kensington I got straight from the UK does have an actual name plate. I think that was why I felt it “cheap” in this case. But overall, the bag is stunning and feels every bit high end! Thank you so much 😊

Thank you!! This bag has held up beautifully!! I’ll admit, I don’t use it as consistently, so that may lend to why it’s still in such great shape! I later learned this bag is made out of lambskin leather. The only issue I did later develop was I’m not a massive fan of that middle divider, specially with how it seems to cinch the back closed with its design. I’ll come up with an updated video soon to give you a better visual of what I mean! However, overall, I do really love this bag!!
Sorry I’m late, but I just stumbled onto your great review video. Do you think a bag insert/organizer would be helpful for this bag? Not only would it provide some organization but it might help support the bag and maintain the shape of the bag. I’m not normally a big bag gal, but I really like the looks of this one.
That’s a very good question! So the bag insert that comes to mind is the square one with the valcro removable insert. So the whole organizer wouldn’t fit, unfortunately, because of the middle divider in this bag; however, I think you could absolutely stick the removable, smaller insert in the bag and help give it some structure for sure. I will say that while the leather is soft, I do feel that this bag does keep its shape nicely! It’s honestly such a pretty bag - one of my all time favorites!! Thank you for watching!! ☺️
Hi I’m looking to purchase this bag but I’m debating the type of material of the bag I should get. How is the durability of the soft leather? Really love the look of the soft leather but I’m debating to get the soft leather or the pebbled leather as pebbled leather would be more durable.
Hi! So I actually never have had an issue with the soft leather - it’s held up quite well! However, I completely understand that fear, I had it too! All Kurt Geiger items are gorgeous, in my opinion, so I believe either direction will make for a stunning bag!
How is the bag holding up after 5 months? Kurt Geiger leather is so hit or miss. The rainbow leather is sturdy and amazing but I've been burned with the soho. Is this leather still holding up?
I can absolutely do an update review for you!! This bag, for me, is part of a rotation, so it's now not getting everyday use; however, it still looks stunning! I also learned, after this video, that the leather on this bag is actually lambskin! So while a bit more delicate is still a pretty sturdy leather!
considering soft leather material does it get scratched easily? how long are you wearing it already ? thank you!
So later, after I made this video, I learned that the leather was lambskin! I carried it 3 months straight, and on and off since then! It’s held up well, I am a bit more careful due to the soft leather but I’m impressed with how it’s held!

I got my bag on Nordstrom when it was on sale for $240, but it usually retails for $295. Look out for sales, Nordstrom will run them often, but they’re currently out of stock 😭 another place I’ve found the bag is Dillards but they’re also out of stock. I’ll keep looking out for it, and post a link in the comments should I find it!

So since this video, I actually confirmed with Kurt Geiger that the leather is lamb skin, thus the reason it's so soft. I carried it a lot in the winter, and it was wonderful. During the spring/summer, I gravitate towards smaller bags, so I wasn't carrying it much. I will break it out now with the fall season, and I can do an update on this bag!! :)

@@mpg314 The macro is a bit larger than the XXL Kensington - it's about 20 inches wide, whereas the XXL is about 15 inches wide.
