i don't have that cd dirve with stepper but i have two cd drives with gears and dc motors that makes mavements as same as stepper how to connect them?

Hey i want to make a cnc number printing plotter machine, problem is that, when i want to print a number using stepper motors then i upload my Gerber file when it works, but when i want to change my printing number then again go to pc, and chnage the Gerber file then upload, my work is not so great, i just want to print some numbers using stepper motors. so Arundio IDE have any library to without using Gerber i change my number from keypad and display.

Problem Produced:
The Stepper Motor attached with Mechanism Runs but it doesn't provide required Torque to Produce the motion to the Mechanism in this test.

It has 3 motors. A dc motor, a stepper motor and a brushless motor

I have never seen a dvd drive with a stepper motor, I opened a lot of them but all have dc motor with gears :/
No man. Almost all computer DVD playershave a stepper motor as well as adc one. The dc motor is the one that spins the disk and stepper motor is the one that controls the blue ray unit. It very small.

Yes, I changed the motors. Those were less powerful and current ones are working properly.

I faced the same issue, I read online that you should close all applications such as Pronterface which require USB and it should work. At least it worked for me
