I am in 10th right now and i want to become a physiotherapist and whenever i tell m classmates that i want to become a physiotherapist and they were ayee hyee physiotherapist banegi and ek ladke ne toh yeh bhi bola tha physiotherapist toh massage karte hai and i felt very bad but you spoke very well ki hame apni respect khud bnani padegi all the best to all future physiotherapist

I'm sorry but she said one thing that Physiotherapist ki respect nahi hai kyuki aapne nahi banayi hai which is absolutely wrong recently I got curious about this profession and tried to collect information about it I went to some interactive sites and found a lot of Physiotherapists who talked about being looked down upon by hospital staff even though respected by patients. So does that mean majority of physiotherapist don't earn respect for themselves? for An MBBS Doctor his degree is enough for people to respect him but for a physiotherapist they have to demand respect? It's not because the Physiotherapist is at fault it's because of the mindset of the people around for instance I'm a Neet aspirant who will give Neet next year, you get an MBBS seat after getting above a specific score like in 2023 it was around 580+ below this you get other courses And BPT is one of them many opt it because they couldn't get into MBBS so many think that ki physiotherapist toh aisa hi hota hai whenever our teachers thinks we ain't studying enough they will taunt us saying that "rote baithna phir aur banna dentist physiotherapist" I strongly believe this is the main reason for it though a lot of doctors respect the profession but it's wrong to blame not the environment and rather ask physiotherapist to be responsible

Fighting for title is not wrong. Even if u do ur best still they treat like that. Even the nurses don't respect. I think it depends on the personality of the physio they should be sharp like her.

TO be honest !! no one is doctor not even mbbs md are doctors !!! but keep this aside ( a very big topic to discuss ) i m working in gov hospital since 2 years as consultant physiotherapist nd i never experienced any such things !! sisters ward boys patients always called me doctor nd it doesn’t matter to me !! because i am saving peoples life that’s it !! i always stand by my treatment !! but i AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH IAP !! They are not doing anything for future physios really 😢
Yes Correct it was just a boom wave 2 years before about promises IAP assures but no such updates on the rights of Physios !!

I am a master's student right now dear.
Dear sister,
Patients thank you since you are at the end part of their treatment ,That does not make you better than MBBS ones. Improving Quality of life is one of the jobs of a physiotherapist.
Now coming to the second point, They treat you different because they fail to understand the difference in principles used in their field and yours . They feel superior due to the Medicines they prescribe and clinical conditions they can treat with them (thanks to the constant research by us) , hence their feeling of higher knowledge. Where as you guys can treat relatively less number of clinical conditions(like infectious diseases, diseases associated with endocrine system to name a few) with physio techniques .Even though you guys mostly practice evidence based treatment ,some of your techniques like cupping therapy, manual therapy etc when subjected to meta analysis are with no evidence and considered pseudo science. Making it look like quackery to them😔.Sad part is that they themselves play a trail and error games with patient with the medicines they prescribe for therapeutic effects and the adverse effects causes most the conditions the patient suffer idiopathic, but they fail to understand that. For them all of this is knowledge and treatment .🤣🤣 Now in a place where diagnosis and "treatment" is considered superior it is obvious that they feel too proud and belittle you guys .
I wish that your community research/treatment techniques catch up them and be on par with them ,even thought their research is a behemoth .
For me Biochemistry/Pharmacology are kings .So u might feel my comment biased.

@@diceyk5467 bro aapka statement ka converse same hua naa. Jaha Pharmacology/biochemistry kaam ayega aapka physiotherapy toh kuch kaam ka bhi nahi hain. Ab toh baat hoga simple statistics ka. Aaphi dekho ,quantify Karo kaun kaun sa diseases physio teek karsakta hain,kaun kaun si diseases Medicine and surgery teek karsakta hain.
Emotional hone ka savaal hi nahi ,numbers aapko sachayi dikayega.
