Him and sungjoo (close with winner jinu) were the two yg korean trainees that were put in the collaboration project with yuehua (chinese org). That group of 5 w/ 3 chn members from yuehua was UNIQ, they debuted through yg in korea. But after some time yg x yuehua collab stopped and yuehua then moved to collaborate with starship for korean promotions (wjsn ex-chn members are also from yuehua). This also eventually ended as the hallyu ban in china happened which basically destroyed uniq as they couldnt promote as a full group anymore and the chn members started solo promotions in china (wang yibo from UNIQ is now very famous thx to a cdrama). Anyway, before that seungyoun/woodz had released a few solo songs and all but this situation made him fully pursue a solo career under the name woodz.
