- Long term (2 year) review of the Great Day Lawn-Pro Hi-Hitch riding mower hitch. This hitch is made from aircraft grade aluminum and is power-coated black. It has two hitch positions; one for a utility style trailer and one for your riding mower attachments. I bought this hitch for my personal use and get absolutely nothing for recommending it to others. With that said, it’s a great hitch and I recommend it. Here’s the link to the hitch:

I have my hitch installed on a John Deere E120 riding mower. This hitch has been installed about about two years and has been used dozens of times to move my utility trailer or tow my yard cart around. I won’t own a riding mower without a hitch like this.
I loved your last minute of the video 🇺🇸 TYFYS
Your are the first person to ever comment on that. Thanks for supporting our troops.
I'm looking at getting the John Deere S240 in the spring and was wondering how I can put a hitch to pull my 16 foot skiff in the yard, Thank you
Tractor supply has these for $39 ONLINE. free shipping to store.
Ordered one for my new JD x350...
That’s a steal. Thanks for sharing.
I bought this for my Husqvarna and I love it, its worth every cent! 0:42
I put a 2” trailer coupler on my big JD garden cart. No more clunking clevis hitch!
For my next video I'll be upgrading the transmission when this one takes a dirt nap.
Dumb question, how do you bolt it to the back of the tractor when you can’t get to the back of the vertical black plate, this is the first time owning a riding mower, thanks
Can I use my grass catcher with the hitch on it
Thanks, I want one of these! Can't get these anywhere in Australia, It's $116USD just for postage!
Ouch on the shipping. Hope that changes in the near future. Seems like a big market opportunity for some company to sell these in Australia.
eBay has heaps. All from China tho. Some are shipped locally.
Can you pull the trailer up a 7 degree elevation (13% grade)? I'm looking for a
Can't say for use. The hitch seems pretty sturdy. In my case, I don't think my mower could make that pull.
Very good video. Great demonstration! One question: My utility trailer takes a 2-5/16” ball which has a bigger threaded shaft. Was there any play for a bigger shaft?
I can't remember. I'm guessing it won't take the large shaft as its an aluminum hitch and not really meant for bigger trailers.
Perfect. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you sir ! 😀
Most welcome!
I have a 900lb trailer, husqvarna riding mower. This high hitch is probably my best shot at pulling the trailer with my tractor.
Have you towed your trailer up or down a hill?
Only the slight grade in my yard. I think the hitch would be okay, but poor riding mower probably couldn’t handle a steep hill.
Just a simple thing to remember. Your lawn tractor only has rear brakes. If the item you are towing is tail heavy or the load shifts the rear of the tractor will be lifted. At that point, you become a passenger, not an operator. Happened to me towing rocks and the crash at the end was not pretty.
How durable is this.. Is one stuck trailer or rough ground likely to damage that rear mouning plate and hence bagger doesent sit correct.
Been using mine frequently for a few years with no issues. I mostly use it to move the trailer empty (about 500 pounds or so). It's been great.
Very hard on the tractor Transaxle.
Definitely a point to consider. Most mowers have some towing capacity. My trailer is close to the weight of the mowers towing capacity. With that said, I also appreciate that its a riding mower and not a tractor. I try not to push my luck with it.
Can you still attach the bagger after installing hitch?
Great question. I can’t say for sure. My guess is no…but that’s a guess.
Would you recommend it to move a 18ft bass boat with a 150 hp outboard in the yard?
The hitch feels pretty strong. If the tractor can pull it, I bet the hitch can. Recommend you check the rating / capacity on both.
Is this the la 145?
The mower is an E120. The hitch is LNPHH650.
Can you still use bagger ?
Not sure. My guess is probably not, but I don't really know.
$33 at Amazon now.
That's a great price. I paid more than that and I think it was worth every penny. Thanks for sharing.
