ive owned mine for about 6 months and really enjoy it alot. the extra keycaps is brilliant. you can customize it right out of the box which i didnt realize when i bought it. i accidentily got the blues... but over time its starting to sound much better. when i first got it it was extremely clicky, now it sounds more like reds tbh
ALSO, I RECENTLY SPILT ABOUT HALF A GLASS OF WATER ALL OVER THE KEYBOARD.. it gave me issues for half a day being funny. but then just flipped it over and shook it good. then a bunch more water came out, and it instantly was right back to working great lol

Arrived today! Exellent keyboard! I love the color skeme! Ive found 1 issue, if i try to use it in wired mode with my laptop, it doesnt work, and only works in wireless, and when turning my laptop off, it constantly searches to reconnect, so i have to unplug it. But thats fine, as ill just use it in wireless mode unless charging it, it seems to work very well even in wireless mode. I realised i was playing in wireless mode for 2 hours when I first got it 😂. Thanks for helping me make up my mind to buying this exellent wireless keyboard

In case you decide to come back to this comment lmao: I was having the same issue but I realized my bluetooth switch was turned on. To use it in wired mode all you have to do is turn off the bluetooth switch, connect the wire, and hold fn and tab until you see a red light. Then it switches to wired mode and worked for me.

Im deciding which will I buy, RK61 or this. I think, this is better, materials and build quality is almost the same. but RK61 is famous with some gamers. I will probably give this a try than RK61. This I think is so much for its price point vs the price of RK61.

@HardwareSense I'm having a similar issue. I want the arrow keys to work without holding down fn. I figured out that if you hold fn and tap left ctrl it puts it on fn lock and allows you to do that, but when I do that the delete key and the / key stop working all together.

  • @Fr.bartek

Hold fn and tap left ctrl. That will toggle on fn lock. It should work. If not, just hit the same buttons again to go back

pro: cheap, great quality for the price, BT, solid
bad: chipset used, no suport for qmk, poor software, mening no support
it would be perfect if they had used a better chip, that they can support for open source

A paid advertiser that just shamelessly promotes product and then asks for viewers' money. So sad. Not saying the keyboard is bad, just that every video here on YT is celebrating it as if it didn't have any downsides.

I am planning to buy this, can you tell me how is this bad and its downsides?

@@malikTaha425 It's my second "mech" keyboard, so bear in mind I'm not an "expert". Overall, it's fine, and actually pretty good for ~$20 that it has supposedly cost.
**Firmware Bugs:** When you use cursor keys and keep holding the Fn down, it sometimes keeps the arrow key "pressed", when actually you already lifted your finger from the "arrow", all the way until you release the Fn key as well. Next, the RShift+Fn combo (factory reset) is bugged. It normally takes 3 seconds (flashing all R-G-B each second) until full reset. But when typing any Fn+Shift+character, your RGB mode will be reset after the first second, so you will have to toggle ~20modes to get back what you wanted. Then, the firmware upgrade utility hasn't worked for me, so I can't get the latest patch. Another bug: It's impossible to type Win+Up (and many other characters/shortcuts that use the Fn key and another modifier), because the keyboard will think you wanted Fn+Win (combo to disable Win key) even when you first hold Win, then use the Fn+"arrow" key.
**Usability limitations:** The battery&charging indicator light (used to be LED under Fn key) has been removed. There is now way to remap keys. Only thing programmable are "combos", which wont let you "move" e.g. Fn to another key. The Fn is also on the right hand, so you can't type arrow keys (or anything special, really) without moving right hand from base position.
**Design bads**: The springs inside boink and ping a lot (I don't really care, some people do). Ergonomics is quite bad. The kbd is inclined upwards by default, need to use a wrist rest and put something underneath the from, to level things out.
For the **good** sides: I got the blue (noisy) variant. By some miracle my girl hasn't complained yet. The keys *are* f'kin loud but they feel good (tactility for touch-typing is actually pretty good, perhaps better than my other kbd (Kailh Choc brown), certainly more satisfying). No binding, wobble is ok. It is very portable, I especially like using it with phone for typing longer/serious stuff. I charge it every ~month or so, even without backlight. Using it over BLE at home everyday. I really like that I could rip out and replace the switches if broken/tired of them. Set of keycaps is nice too (got big discount as few of them were missing).
Overall, I really like the feel, but will replace it eventually, because I need kbd with more keys when working, and the bugs will soon get me annoyed.
