Thank you again for the inspiration. Ones in a while, I check out your videos. I’m originally from Germany. Lived 14 plus years in Canada and I am already 3 years in Panama. Just started to build a bigger dome “kinda” house. Diameter is around 32 feet / 9.80 meter. The original idea was with aircrete. But with no reliable postal service in Panama, using forwarding companies is very, very expensive. Get a kit from Domgaia send to Panama via UPS or DHL would eat all savings to make a building with aircrete. So I decided to go with local made 6” concrete blocks. Another issue was the district office here. Concrete blocks / steel or pre-fab concrete walls are approved. No aircrete material. And they are very strict with what to use or not. Exemption is one thing. As long I stay under 80 m2 for the construction, I don’t need an architect for the drawings of the plan, no drawings for electricity in the house. So I’m not sure about the roof. There are only certain materials available in Panama. Square metal sheets. Everting is square. Making a roof construction with concrete blocks like “Steve’s original dome house”? I thing I have to figure that out by going ahead with my project. Your videos are always an inspiration!
Getting through building departments can be a challenge but we are now working with an engineer and are very close to having some designs that can be stamped which could help in your case. We do ship our foam generators world wide and shouldn't be too bad to get it to Panama but if you contact us we can get a quote for you. I think it would be worth it over concrete blocks as you'll also get insulation.
@Domegaia I'm getting the blocks for 65 cents each. Paid for 1536 blocks $1065, including delivery. Foam generator would be one thing. But the right detergent would be a hit & miss here. The district office is the problem here in my case. 10 miles west, and I wouldn't have a problem. "Señior Holger. Sorry. Your lot is not in my district. And San Carlos is a different delicate issue..." - That's what other home inspectors saying about the San Carlos district office. - Just an update. Finally. After 16 months of waiting, I got the green light. Paid my permit fee. And waiting another month to receive my documents in paper. Had to get another engineer involved who knows the laws correctly, to talk to the San Carlos district office. That helped me a lot.
Well that's a practical dome. Not to say the others are not beautiful but this is more rational. New here so don't take me too seriously. You are doing a wonderful job!
VERY beautiful work!! Did you track how many "man hours" went into the domes? The material cost is very good, but without labor it is hard to see the true cost of construction.
Very true. Hajjar has another building with a kitchen. For the closet, he has recently built a bamboo closet and shelving right under the loft bed in the 3rd dome.
I am very intrigued by your system! I live in Colorado at 8500 ft and the temperature often fluctuates daily 40 degrees from the low to the high. Also snow is heavy all winter. Will this work in my climate?
I am not sure in terms of the temperature fluctuation, but I have taken the workshop with Hajar while back and these domes are fine in cold weather, i belive they use aircrete in Sweden, if i remmber correctly. Aircrete has very different quality than concrete, it’s light, warm and if you make the walls thick, quite insulating… so yes it works for cold climates, just not sure what effect would the fluctuation have if any..
This is so amazing. I'm thinking of buying land in Belize and building a dome home. Is there anyone I could possibly consult with that can help me construct one.
Do you have glass windows or are those completely open? What about strong winds and rain? I didn’t see any shutters so how are you planing to manage that?
We now build the domes using Aircrete which provides insulation value in the material. We've built them as far north as Nova Scotia Canada and they do great.
An amazing build! Congrats adding art to function. What about the windows, I check the Internet and never seem to find what owners of dome homes do for windows. Thanks Cheers Roger
It depends on the climate you are in. In the tropics they can just be screens and in colder climates you can use regular thermal pain windows. Often people will use a retangular window in the center with a curved on the top and bottom. These can be ordered pretty easily.
Cindercrete is by far the best building material on the planet Cindercrete is a mixture of cinder cement and water mixed and poured into a set of reusable forms walls are poured from 12"to 24" thick Cindercrete is fireproof termite proof rust rot and mold proof non toxic and has a high R value and good sound attenuation solid poured walls means no critters can live in your walls Cindercrete can be built for a fraction of the cost and time and cinder is the only local natural building material on the island Take care Ray
I heard Hajjar say the supports for the bed were concrete. I am asking, were the bamboo dry before being filled and were the bamboo filled with 100% concrete? Thank you.
There are many factors in this and not something that is easy to answer. You first need to work out a desing and then you can do a material estimate. Finishings will also be a big part of the cost and can range widely depending on what you want.
I pray I can do this for my children. We were exiled from Florida over four years ago. Yes, exiled because I exposed a baby market that stole my first born son at birth and switched him with another lady's stillborn. During my investigations i found myself in an organ harvesting scheme. We are survivors of the human trafficking and now have land of our own. Please share any advice with a reply. Ty for all the knowledge you posted. It helps. Now i pray i have the strength to do this for my children. Bless all of you.
I have land in Belize that is currently boat access only, so materials will need to be brought to the site by boat or barge. Is this possible to do? Do you know of anyone in Belize that builds homes like this?
This is possible. It's a lot less material to bring in than building with concete. We have not build in Belize but we have in other countries in South America and it's quite possible some of our students have build in Belize. We have a workshop coming up in Costa Rica if you are interested.
I need this and will create this somehow some way!

So creative, so cool. Love, love, love what you are doing 🤍
Omg this is next level... someone help me build these in the tropics somewhere.
Wow just wow!!! 💚🙌⭐️🔥💫🥥🥥🥥

I wish I lived in a dome in Hawaii. Nice work that’s awesome
I NEED to come over and see these in real life.... I have been striving to make this happen for myself since I first saw your videos in 2018
I live on Oahu.... PLEASE lmk if there's work I can come help with...
I was at one of the workshops in Alabama ❣️
Love you guys! Pahoa looks good today as I sit in the snow in upper michigan. Mahalo
Great seeing you still progressing the work Hajjar & team! Love from Eef and Seb.
VERY beautiful work!!

so beautiful, so serene! Who wouldnt want to live here!
such unique, artistic and practical builds, Amazing father and son.
Looks so cozy and inviting. Just wondering where the closet space is and kitchen?
Very true. Hajjar has another building with a kitchen. For the closet, he has recently built a bamboo closet and shelving right under the loft bed in the 3rd dome.
Beautiful, inspiration work, y'all!
One of a kind, great work!!
Were you able to get permits to build this?
Thanks fellows. I want these in my province mountain farm.
Thank you!

You guys just giving away free how to’s & plans, I love ya’ll so very much 😭
Thanks for sharing
Powerful inspiration!
My friend and I are brainstorming how we can get these built for the displaced persons of the Lāhainā fire.
Do you have glass windows or are those completely open? What about strong winds and rain? I didn’t see any shutters so how are you planing to manage that?
Very cool. How do you handle insulation in cold climates though?
We now build the domes using Aircrete which provides insulation value in the material. We've built them as far north as Nova Scotia Canada and they do great.
Nice
Was 15k the total cost of everything, or just the structure?
Thanks for the question. That was for all the materials.
Do you think an aircrete structure could withstand a hurricane?
Good question…
is it possible in countries with more wetness, dump? Scotland, Czech republic?
An amazing build! Congrats adding art to function. What about the windows, I check the Internet and never seem to find what owners of dome homes do for windows. Thanks Cheers Roger

Are there people to hire to build and what are the prices
Do you need to have a certain climate for these domes? I want to build on East Coast
They have one in New Brunswick, Canada. Build anywhere
Practicality ~ Overrules ✅🌱🎵☂️
Very cool but what is the diamond-shaped cap on the exterior for?
Are you referring to the skylights? These let light in and also have ventilation so hot air can escape.
@@domegaia Nice, but how can you clean the vent and can small critters infiltrate through it?
@@theorganicway2go They have screens and you would just need to get up on a ladder if you want to clean them.

Hello I was just wondering how much it would cost to build a 2 bed 2 bath dome home ???
i need this
Are you Helping the victims of the Hawaii fire storm?
Y’all missed an opportunity nit using time lapse video of the construction.
That's cool
I heard Hajjar say the supports for the bed were concrete. I am asking, were the bamboo dry before being filled and were the bamboo filled with 100% concrete? Thank you.
Yes, the bamboo would definitely be dry before filling with concrete.
What about Internet connection in the dome?
does the dome was made with earth bags or continuous bag or other way? as it shows like blocks but I know are not blocks
These dome were made with Aircrete blocks.
What's the total square footage?
I want to buy land in Arizona and would like three dome domiciles. to be built on the property. What would be the cost and time to get it done?
There are many factors in this and not something that is easy to answer. You first need to work out a desing and then you can do a material estimate. Finishings will also be a big part of the cost and can range widely depending on what you want.
Beautiful, artistic and inspiring, but where's the toilet??
It's in the bathroom to the right of the sink.
How can I get ahold you so I can have a few built
How can I build these domes for myself?
$15,000 unbelievable. This could be the future of all homes.
I don't want to take the course..but I would b love you tobuild me s few domes!😮😊

Please post about it on kiwi farms. This needs to be known.
It's not a free PDF if the price is your email address.
What do yo do with my email address when you get it.
True, we send you emails from time to time unless you unsubscribe from the list. The emails are never sold or shared.
