the fact people are still clowning on mayo for his proposals is deeply hilarious to me. also, i may suggest adding music in the videos, when you used "the world looks white" it added a vive to that section of the video that greately helped. keep uo the good work
Damn, I actually didn’t think about very many of the things described in this video, which, in fact, lie on the surface, so to speak. I'm not trying to say that everything said in the video is obvious, but it's interesting how so many things that add to the game's lore can be missed by the player during gameplay or something like that. And regarding the lack of mention of Gabriel or the fight of machines with demons, I would like to say that I personally especially felt not only that the layer of Violence is truly part of Hell, but also that I, frankly, am not welcome here . I mean, in most other layers everything was either destroyed by the efforts of V1, or was in a more or less harmonious state. Let's say that the River Styx, of course, slightly overflowed its usual banks, but it seems that this didn't turn out to be a fatal event. It’s as if most of the locations of Hell, if they fell into decay, were either because of the player or because of the actions of specific characters, and in the Violence layer everything had already been turned upside down several times. And so much so that it is not subject to any restoration if we are talking about the same 7-2 or 7-4. But 7-1 and 7-3, apparently, are just beginning to collapse upon the arrival of V1, but not because of them. In the end, the Minotaur is an exceptionally vile creature, which can only be compared with Leviathan. Although, Leviathan, apparently, did not possess such an irresistible will to live, accompanied by absolutely unnatural sounds. If we try to build theories about what the remaining layers will look like, then, of course, we can say that their themes may not be so repulsive, but I am almost sure that Hakita will still be able to surprise us with something. I don't know man, after this point we can expect anything like true-Swordsmachine-Megazord-thing or something.
@@joshvonbosch To be honest, I think it definitely makes sense. Perhaps I’ll say something partly wrong now, but it seems to me that in the architecture of Ultrakill you can sometimes discern different time periods to which the architecture of the levels corresponds. Let's say there is something from the Classical Era, something reminiscent of the Middle Ages and periodic references to more modern eras. Yes, it's far-fetched, but I think it would be interesting to see something close to the time period of 1990-2000. In this regard, the only thing that comes to my mind is Desolate Hope, who illustrates such a peculiar “dark retrofuturism”, as if, say, the aesthetics of a layer of Violence or something like that were superimposed on a layer of Lust. However, something vaguely similar was already flashing at 7-4. I just hope I made myself more or less clear, because I literally can’t think of better references for what I’m trying to describe.

what did mayo propose this time?
@@slav4335 nothing new really, I was just referencing his old terrible game design ideas
Hey! I absolutely love this style of video. Not too long, but not too short. You should cover more games like this!
Wait guttertanks are german? why do we always have to be the badguys 💀
Knowing hell, probably Nazis
It may or may not have something to do with what happened during the last World War…
Bro everyone makes machines in the war, guttertanks are just an example, the guttertanks does not make Germany bad
@@tim.6281 im reffering to guttertnks being considered a pain in the ass
I don't know where the fuck he got that from but I'm pretty sure that's mot canon and purely speculation.
great video! sums it up really well
heeey this was super interesting! never really payed huge attention to the lore in ultrakill so it's nice having a snappy but in-depth breakdown :>
Hey! Im intrested in your view on PalWorld! Maybe do a dunkview style breakdown? A moronicview if you will?
In this case of this layer you can spell VIolence without V1.
