Hi, i've got this scanner a while ago and lately i've been using it more and more.
I've noticed that the texture output is a pretty low resolution. a burger bun for example between multiple scans have a texture that ranges between 1100x1200 to 750x600, which is way too low to be usable in most cases since the output images are blurry.
For reference my machine has a amd 5950x, rtx 3090, 64gb ram at 3200mhz, 19tb of storage and files are saved on a 4tb ssd drive and i'm scanning the burger bun in object mode, with hybrid tracking and highest quality setting.
I can still scan the surface data and use a DSLR for albedo map generation but i was wondering if it's someting i'm doing wrong with the einstar scanner to get textures this small and blurry.
All in all very happy with the purchase, the scanner is great. there are a couple of features i'd add to the software but out of the box is one of the best around hands down. good job

I was wondering the same things since I cannot see on the product tech-spec. What is the texture resolution and file type? I assume is low-ish, 8bit compressed images right? I guess I will wait for Einster 2.0 model where, ideally, will have more control over the texture

Is the texture output limited to 1K? Why there is no technical specification about texture output on the website?

I'm looking for this too. Textures are ok but once in a game up close they get very blurry.

having the same problem here, textures come out between 700x700 to 1100x1100, way too blurry to be usable.
For now the best option i found is doing the surface scan with the einstar since it's fairly accurate and very quick and do the albedo map capture with a DSLR camera (a dozen pics are enough to make a 4k texture, instead of doing 2-300 pictures for the good old photoscanning way)

Would you say the Einstar is better than the kiri app?
