Really! This is the best patch I've ever seen for Pod Go! Amazing idea, quality, attention to detail, and impressive use of hardware resources. Thanks!
the work you've put into PodGo stuff has been super useful for me. There's a nagging thing in me saying I should get the HX Stomp as well for the dual path and whatever else it does but not sure it's worth spending that on the small number of features that I'd get and i'd lose the control of the volume/wah etc. I think the PodGo is an amazing proposition for function band gigging, simple, sounds great and will do all of what you actually need. I'm grateful for the PodGo inclusion in this channel. Please keep it coming.
@accentontheoff I thought exactly that too! A modulation and a drive pedal for more harmonic backing tracks, I'm using my pod go with digitech trio plus band creator pedal for drums and bass and it looper and separate song parts make it easy to pre record the basic track then once recorded on the daw, and because I have only two input in my audio interface the scarlet 2i2 3rd gen, one input needs to be used for the drums and bass, on for the guitar audio on loop for each song section intro, verse etc. And that'll loop forevervas long as i need and itll get recorded to DAW so once that's recorded I disconnect the drum/bass(trio mixer output) from audio interface then plug laft and right from main out pod go fir stereo recording to left right audio interface inputs, adding more freeze harmonies for layering both more freeze layers adding depth and then maybe some more effects introduced to the tracks on the daw.
@@mikefarquhar5063 Very cool approach, thanks for the detailed reply, I wish this had happened a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I had to take a decision so I went for the Boss GX100. It was a very close call.
@accentontheoff no worries, what was it for you that made the difference? I've not long had the pod go so won't be giving it up soon, but always good to know, even subjective reasons, as well as the objective ones, why the ppl we watch and learn from move on to other things, for better or for worse or just different capabilities and dsp etc hundreds of reasons to build down to the simplistic reasoning.
@accentontheoff thanks btw, for the compliment, it's nice to be nice, I'm subscribed, I'll keep watching your vids and have a look at the patches for £3.01 Any tips on using the pod go with the catalyst 100watt amp combo, eq wise, I've tried both modeller hookup cable method power amp in switch and left mono main out, as well as straight in front end abmnd it dies sound way less boomy with bass in the front both from amp out and main out from pod go, with the cab/IR's bypassed sounds far too bright hollow, so I just leave em on in both methods both out puts from pod go, I used the headphones out from pod go as a standard to reach by ear. Proving to be difficult obviously the amps cabinet plays a huge part and the catalyst it's not true FRFR But does it really need to be? I don't think so, so just searching for the most powerful effective way to get that Low end cut and not have to re tweak every single preset I've bought, individually . It sounds fine stereo main out to focusrite scarlett 2i2 3rd gen Audio Interface left and right into daw, much closer to the way it sounds best on headphones . And that's being monitored through alesis m1 Active mk11's. They have a not bad low end of the frequency spectrum decay rate so not so boomy and can be easily tweaked once recorded. Idk . Last thoughts before you leave the pod go behind you in the dust?
This is a GLORIOUS tone and I shall buy this when my pay comes in at the end of the month. I just hope that it will sound as good with my custom built Tele with Seymour Duncan Little '59 pickups. It sounds very much like Eric Johnson's sound.
Wow - I just got a Pod Go and I'm completely new to the digital modeling and effects world. I was referred to your page and am super excited to dive in - will be purchasing your patches after checking out a couple of videos. Thanks!
Nice tone, the Litigator is certainly my favourite amp in the POD GO. Also speaking of POD GO, I learned the freeze trick from you and it makes the POD GO a really nice practice tool in my opinion, I also learned more recently that you can actually remove some of the blocks that the UI won't allow you to replace (e.g. FX Loop, Wah, Volume, Equalizer) and replace them with other stuff if you like, by messing with the json files POD GO Edit exports: you can simply export the preset, remove the blocks, import again and the slots will be just empty and available through the UI. You are still constrained to the DSP limits, but I believe this patch of yours specifically it's not too heavy on the DSP, so you might be able to add more if you'd like.
Awesome man! Thank you 🙏 this is what I have been searching for for ages! Now I can make Ambient, uplifting- Floyd like backing tracks on via my digitech trio+ pedal , and it'll sound awesome in stereo thru audio interface to my daw. I'm share this vid on all line 6 Facebook groups for sure, and other platforms too because your shared experience, hard work and time is very much valued here! I will probably be playing this patch for hours upon hours so much so- I'll need a fully autonomous posatroninc synthetic android body to take on the rest of my daily responsibilities while I give it all up to spend the rest of my years studying and performing the art of music. The pod go is so underrated. It will keep going I mean the old pocket pod bean I had when I was like 15- it's still here, and i think theres still patches available for It too. Line 6 have come leaps and bounds from those days in the 90s , it had a belt clip, headphones were about the best way to get the best out of it. So glad line 6 kept in as a big forerunner in the digital audio world.
John - By watching this video, I was finally able to get the "Freeze" Effect to sort of work on the HX Stomp "without an Expression Pedal" but, I can't seem to turn it Off, Clear it, then turn it back On using a single Footswitch. Everything is assigned to Footswitch 1, but when I press it, the Dual Delay turns off automatically, and I have to use an alternate way to turn on the Delay on "Manually." I tried using the Momentary "type" setting, and reversed minimum and maximum settings, but those didn't work at all. Here are the settings I used, referencing this and some of your other videos. Maybe these instructions will help someone else. 1. Use any standard Preset with 6 or less Blocks, and available DSP. 2. Set up a "Stereo Volume" Block, and a "Dual Delay" Block on a Parallel path. 3. Assign the Volume, and Delay Block to the same Stomp "Footswitch," e.g. 1. 4. Turn on "Trails" on the Delay Block, and Assign Left Feedback, Right Feedback, Left Mix, and Right Mix to Stomp Footswitch 1. 5. Go to the "Bypass Controller Assign" screen, and make sure all the Parameters listed above are set to Stomp Footswitch 1, and make sure the "Type" is set to "Latching." 6. Set the following Minimum and Maximum Volume Settings on the Delay: Left Feedback: Min = 10, Max = 100 Right Feedback: Min = 10, Max = 100 Left Mix: Min = 5, Max = 34 Right Mix: Min = 5, Max = 34 7. Use the Output Node of the parallel path B to control the Mix. Assign it to Stomp Footswitch 1, then set the B Levels to Min = -60dB, Max = -10dB. NOTE: The Minimum and Maximum Volume settings for the Delay are not available until the Parameters have been assigned to Footswitch 1.
Would you be able to share your pickup heights? having trouble dialling my silver sky se in, but yours sounds great and balanced. Love the videos, thanks!
I am new to the Pod Go and just downloaded your presets from the link and when I double click on the preset in the preset column it says "the IR associated with the IR block within the preset could not be found in the impulse library". It seems to be working fine, I'm just wondering what that means. The preset sounds awesome though. Thanks
Hello friend.. im new user with pod go i love your preset. But i have a probleme. When i stop the dualdelay, the sound of this its stopping immediately. Someone to help me? Plz
Hi John. Sound really very nice. i have a Pod Go but really doesnt sound good as i am just a learner . How do i get that tutorial to get that sound? and how can i buy your IR for this sound? thanks
Hey man! Great tone. I just bought the Pod Go patches hoping this one would be in there. There is only a LitiDumble preset though without the freeze and drive assignments that you have on there in this video. I tried to set it up myself following along but it didn't work out the same. Any chance you could add this preset in please? I would be eternally grateful 🤘
Hey John, I really love this and the previous video about the SE Silver Sky. Although, I'm quite curious about your opinion on the SE Custom 24-08. It looks to be one of the most versatile guitars right now, and I'd love to see your take on it.
Not quite the same, but I have a CE 24 , I know quite a bit more money, and I have had PRS mod it to the 24-08 switching. It is a super versatile guitar. That said it is a bright and snappy guitar even when using the full humbucker. Not a bad thing, but does add a different dynamic compared to other guitars I have. I have a regular SE CU24. It is a very nice guitar. The 85/15 pickups are a bit thin compared to the true 85/15 pickups but it offers a nice sound that is almost sorta acoustic in nature. With just a push pull it is pretty versatile and with the 24-08 switching I'm sure it would be even better. It plays just as good as my CE 24 which cost 3 times as much. Down sides are the frets are a bit softer and will wear a little quicker then a true core model and like I said before the pickups aren't for everyone. I've said in another comment that maybe instead of people saying a PRS doesn't sound like a strat or a les paul and that being a bad thing maybe instead we should start thinking of it as it's own guitar with its own unique tone. I think when seen in that light the guitar shines. As for me my two PRS guitars are my most played. Next in line would be my EC1000 and then my epiphone lp with Gibson burstbucker pickups. The LP has its own very specific tone and I play it differently then my PRS. That's why I keep it around. Each guitar offers it's own unique experience and depending on the moment is when each one shines. If I could only have one guitar though it would be my CE24 with the 24-08 mod. Most range of sounds and it plays .... well ot plays like a PRS 😁
@@shawnmcginnis2508 Hey Shawn! Thank you so much for the detailed answer. Writing all of that must take a lot of time, and I thank you for that. I too saw PRS as its own guitar. @@bananaman287 No problem! Hope it helps you make a decision. 😁 I really love my SE and it's what inspired me to want to get a more ecspensive PRS. The SE has been great. I don’t understand what the term “freeze” means. I notice it also says those kind of terms on your bundles. Can anyone explain it to me please?
Look up the EHX freeze sound retainer. It basically holds a note or chord and then you can play over the top of it. Some folks call it a drone note.
So what happens when you switch presets? Is there a gap in sound?
I can't hear the difference between the wood used in Fender, PRS, K-Line, ... guitars.
I have to admit ... it is my Kauderwelsch.
Can i pay you using paypal?
