What oils did you use? Also if you don't mind could you share the recipe? I am new at this so I don't understand the percentage stuff since I usually just go by ounces or grams. Also I was told to freeze the beer in an ice tray and that didn't turn out great when mixed with the lye ( it clumped up).
This is a new recipe, and if I like it I'll upload it in my Facebook group files, Soap Making and Business Coaching. I always use cold flat beer. If I do cold process I'll freeze the beer into cubes and add lye. With the counter top method it needed to be hot, so I just used cold flat beer. I've never boiled the beer either.
Tina, loved this video. Can you share your fragrance and essential oil mixture totals? I think this mix sounds heavenly. I think I tend to over fragrance. I don't sell, just share with family. But I really like the fluid hot process, because its saves me so much time. Thanks for sharing your expertise. Kim B
Please when you pop text up on screen leave it on longer. It goes so fast there isn't time to read it all. Thanks for all your effort. Happy Holidays. - Robert Barnett. P.S. Where can I buy a printed copy of your first book?
Hi! Does pausing the video help for the text? The print copy is available at www.lulu.com/spotlight/tinamoenck Lulu is a print on demand service and it takes about 8 business days to get your book delivered. I have the color copy available, but it's pricey so I also have the BW version which is much cheaper and it's on sale right now until Tuesday.
The soap is cooked in the crock pot which is sitting on the counter top not in the base. It works to cook the soap much faster and the soap isn't over cooked this way.
Great Video ! Glad you also address curing time. So much conversation about it.

Dear. You always so creative and innovative... why do you put the soap in the fridge? don't you think it is more natural to let it cool naturally ?
Thank you! You don't have to put it in the fridge, you can let it cool on it's own.
