My Mom and Dad used to play Sentimental Music like this when i was growing up.This has become one of my all time favorite songs .Kitty Kallen had such a Beautiful voice .I cant.say i have ever heard anyone sing this song quite like her .She was truly gifted with a voice .
I'm glad that some people still appreciate the kind of music that I love . Good music that is not adulterated with swear words and other kinds of mediocrity .
I kept hearing this song in my head. I haven’t heard it since i was a kid. And its not a hurricane thats coming but more if a 🔥 of global social upheaval ! And were all in the middle of it this May 2020. And i needed this too. Thanks.🕊
This song is pure genius, written by Edith Lindeman with music by Carl Stutz in 1953. First recorded by Kitty Kallen the following year, 1954. When I first heard this song by chance I remembered the title because it seemed so very feminine. Ladies don't exist anymore. And to be fair neither do "gentle" men. We are too scared to be vulnerable, we think we will be taken advantage of. So much of the poetry in life is missed because of this fear. Too bad for us !
